Both teams looking eager to prove their worth early on and it was Milan
that got off to a better start when Sulley Muntari puts them ahead after
just a minute in the clock. That early goal apparently made Rossoneri
turned rather negative, allowing their opponent to push forward, which
eventually lead into an equalizing goal from Andrea Pirlo's free kick on
15 minutes.
Both teams continue to put on a solid display, not allowing much
changes at either end, but just when things looked stalemate, an
inspired substitution from Antonio Conte puts Juve in front as Sebastian
Giovinco netting home on 69 minutes. In a chaotic situation, which saw
Philippe Mexes got sent off for Milan, the home side took advantage and
extended their lead through Giorgio Chiellini's rebound effort.
Rossoneri threatened a come back with 10-men from Muntari's deflected
effort, but there was just not much time for Massimiliano Allegri's men.
