Tottenham vs Manchester United Premier League 1 December 2013

0 التعليقات
The highlight of the English Premier League this weekend will see a clash between Tottenham and Manchester United, two teams looking to get back to winning ways after recent disappointing results.
Tottenham Hotspur team is only ninth in the Premiership’s table; so low a position is for a team with such high potential and even higher expectations as Tottenham, is definitely a let-down. The Spurs do experience a crisis – they did not win any of the three last games; what’s more, they conceded seven goals in only last two(!) matches, six of which they lost against Manchester City – and they did not score any, which is even worse. The leading Arsenal is now eight points ahead of them. Villas-Boas’ future is hanging by a thread now. If he loses the game with United, he can probably prepare himself for leaving the White Hart Lane. The Europe League’s win against Tromso (2:0) did not improve his situation. His team plays poor, the defense players make mistakes, the strikers cannot find their way to the goal and the manager himself cannot find a right place for newly-arrived players like Lamela and Soldado. In the upcoming game against the other side from Manchester, Tottenham must show really good football if they do not want to thoroughly beaten by recently-solid Manchester United, who won during the week with Bayer (5:0) in the Champions League.
  • Probable lineups Tottenham (4-1-2-3): Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Vertonghen; Sandro; Dembélé, Paulinho; Lennon, Soldado, Lamela.

Manchester United after a disappointing start of the season climb up in the Premier League’s table. Currently, after twelve games, they are sixth being seven points behind leading Arsenal. When it comes to Premiership, the Red Devils did not lose any of the last five matches – winning three of them and drawing the other two. Last week they let Cardiff take them points with a 2:2 draw against the Welsh, which means that Moyes’ players still lack concentration and are prone to a slight chaos on the pitch. However, generally speaking United are playing better and better with each game, what they proved in the last Champions League’s game against Bayer (5:0 victory). In that match the fans had a chance to admire the old, solid, tight and almost faultless Manchester. If United show the same at White Hart Lane, Tottenham will have to resign themselves to losing the game.
  • Probable lineups Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Jones, Giggsi; Valencia, Kagawa, Young; Rooney.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Olympique Lyon - 1 December 2013 French Ligue 1

0 التعليقات
Parc des Princes, Paris, France
Sunday, 01 December 2013 - French Ligue 1

Of course that current French champions and this time don’t even think about anything else except a certain victory, as it is the only way to maintain a solid lead over the second-placed Lille, which currently stands on four points. Coach Blanca’s players are still undefeated this season and in the championship have effect of 10 wins and four draws. On top of it, they won in August the French Super Cup defeating Bordeaux with 2-1. In the Champions League had from before secured a place in the knockout phase, and its dominance in the group was confirmed on last week when they won Olympiacos at home, so now after five rounds have even 13 points .
All this indicates that in the continuation of the season we can expect even more from this team in all competitions, and we here have especially in mind great striking duo Ibrahimovic – Cavani, who in last 14 rounds of Ligue 1 have scored by nine goals each. Let’s add that for this match are questionable only lightly injured midfielders Pastore and Verratti.

Unlike the PSG, Lyon is very variable this season and is therefore at the moment on seventh place in Ligue 1, and has even 10 points less than teams who occupy positions which lead in the Champions League. However, it should be noted that this is a good placement for them when we remember how badly they opened the season. In last three rounds they managed to win seven points and get little bit closer to the leading teams. After two consecutive victories they failed last weekend at home when they played just 1-1 with Valenciennes, so for the rest of the season a lot of work expects them in order to return on positions that they deserve according to the players’ quality.
Regarding their performances in the Europe League, they were not overly convincing but after recent victory over Betis at home have managed to secure placement in the next round, given that before the end of the round have four points more than third Guimaraes. It means a lot to them in terms of self-confidence ahead of this difficult away match at the Parc des Princes, where coach Guard can count on almost all best players apart from before injured defender Dabo.

Possible line-ups:
Paris Saint-Germain: Sirigu – van der Wiel, Thiago Silva, Alex, Maxwell – Motta, Matuidi – Lucas, Lavezzi – Cavani, Ibrahimovic.
Olympique Lyon: Vercoutre – Lopes, Bisevac, Umtiti, Bedimo – Gonalons, Fofana, Malbranque – Grenier – Lacazette, Gomis.

Cardiff City vs Arsenal Premier League 30-11-2013

0 التعليقات
Cardiff City - Arsenal FC
2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 13
Date: Saturday 30 November 2013 - 16:00 CET - 4:00 PM CET
Stadium: Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff, United Kingdom
Referee: Lee Mason

It is quite logical when we remember that Cardiff only last season managed to be promoted in the Premier League and judging by so far shown parties, and especially those played at home, it is obvious that this time wants to stay longer in it. So, coach Mackay’s players have already this season scalped Manchester City in front of their fans and their great Wales’ rival, Swansea, while they drew 2-2 with the current champion, Manchester United, in the previous round. However, in this match they were quite lucky, since the equalizing goal was scored in the injury time by substitute Kim.
In this way, Cardiff continues to maintain three points advantage over teams that are in the relegation zone but for coach Mackay was much more important that they showed again their great fighting spirit and character, and therefore we expect that in this match with leading Arsenal don’t surrender easily. Regarding the team, still out of action are injured midfielder Conway and defenders Brayford and Connolly.
Probable lineups Cardiff: Marshall – Theophile-Catherine, Caulker, Tarner, Taylor – Medel, Mutch – Cowie, Whittingham, Odemwingie – Campbell

Arsenal sit 4 points clear of the rest and are coming off a 2-0 win over an odd-defying Southampton side. The Gunners are brimming with confidence and will be disappointed with anything but a victory here, despite the tough environment. Walcott has returned to the squad and Wilshere has returned to form-netting twice in their midweek Champions League win against Marseille. In addition, Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 11 matches with Cardiff, and despite the illness of Gibbs and the absence of Podolski and Oxlade-Chamberlain, there should be ample opportunities for the Gunners to extend their Premier League lead with 3 more points.
Probable lineups Arsenal: Szczesny – Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs – Arteta, Wilshere – Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla – Giroud.

Head-to-Head

UEFA Champions League: Manchester United thrash Leverkusen

0 التعليقات
The European Champions League, where several teams were on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition. One of them was Manchester United who travelled to Bayer Leverkusen, the Reds going through to the next round, and in some style - putting 5 past the home side.
David Moyes arrived off the back of a pretty disappointing draw in the League against Cardiff at the weekend.
And while his pre-decessor, this guy, Sir Alex, would probably be doing better in the Premiership, his successor hasn’t been doing too badly at all in Europe.
A win, would be enough to see them qualify with a game in hand. And they opened the scoring mid-way through the first half.
Giggs finding Rooney who takes his time before chipping to the backpost. It’s not cleared by the defender and Antonio Valencia slides in to poke home.
10 minutes later and again Rooney with the assist. What a free-kick this is, whipped in. And Chris Smalling appears to have got the flick but the last touch actually came off Spachic for an own goal. United doubling their lead. And making the team, second in the Bundesliga look pretty ordinary.
The third came from another set-piece after half time. Rooney's shot is saved but Jonny Evans is on hand to tap home.
Soon it was 4. Kagawa slipping it through to Rooney who chips the keeper and Smalling does eventually get his goal, managing to stay on side too.
Giggs, 2 days away from his 40th birthday, then plays this pin-point ball through to Nani. Check out the control on the chest taking it away from the keeper. And what about that for a finish. 5-0 the final score. And United are through to the last 16.

The home side immediately set on into an aggressive mode as they got in front pretty early with Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring after just seven minutes of play.

Italian side, AC Milan silenced their critics as well as ending recent run of disappointing results after grabbing an important away victory against Celtic in the latest Champions League group stage fixture. Borussia Dortmund vs Napoli Champions League 26-11-2013

0 التعليقات
Signal-Iduna-Park, Germany will be hosting on Tuesday, 26 November 2013, an UEFA Champions League (Group F) match between Borussia Dortmund and Napoli . The match referee will be Carlos Velasco.
The Italian side lost both the away crucial matches this season - against Roma and Juventus. In the last 2 or 3 years, also under Mazzarri, Napoli always played poorly in the most important clashes of the season. Anyway, they could profit from all the absences Dortmund are facing.
Marek Hamsik, who limped off nine minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute for Dries Mertens, will sit out Tuesday's vital Champions League clash. Zuniga and Mesto will also be sidelined for the visitors with knee injuries. The previous encounter between the two sides saw Napoli post a 2-1 home win thanks to strikes from Gonzalo Higuain and Lorenzo Insigne. Anyway, the Germans played with 10 men for a long period because goalkeeper Weidenfeller was sent off.
Probable lineups SSC Napoli (4-2-3-1): Reina – Maggio, Raul Albiol, Britos, Armero – Inler, Behrami – Jose Callejon, Pandev, L.Insigne – Higuain.

Borussia is in a huge crises and this match comes to them at the worst possible time. They experienced three defeats in a row, which has not occurred for a very long time, so this is the best indicator of what is happening in Dortmund. Everything bad is happening to them at this period, because they have a lot of injured players, and their schedule carries all very serious and important matches. First they were defeated by Arsenal in Dortmund, although it was a match where they were able to solve all dilemmas for the placement in the next round. After that, they were also mastered by Wolfsburg in Bundesliga and it was after they had a lead, and they were “knocked out” on Saturday by their biggest rival Bayern, and it was again in Dortmund.
They showed a great resistance in this match against the Bavarians, even though they lacked both of their defenders, Subotic and Hummels, as well as Schmelzer. They received three goals in the last half hour, which means that they have practically already lost the battle for the title. However, they can still save things in the Champions League, although they will again be without those three already mentioned players. The veteran Friderich, who was hired by the force of circumstances, is also not eligible to play in the Champions League, so it is very likely that we will see young and inexperienced Gunter at the stoppers position. The good news is that Piszczek is recovered and he will probably start in this match.
Probable lineups Borussia Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Sokratis, Gunter, Durm – Sahin, S.Bender – Aubameyang, Mkhirayan, Reus – Lewandowski.

Of course, in the Citizen’s camp again aspire to regain domination in matches with the Spurs, especially because they will play at home where they have achieved this season the maximal effect in the Premier League. Coach Pellegrini players have won all five matches played at home, but have brought only four points from six away matches and at this point are just eighth in the standings. In the last round were unexpectedly defeated away by Sunderland, which ruined an excellent series of three consecutive victories; in the League Cup, where they qualified for the quarter-finals, then in the championship against Norwich and in the Champions League against CSKA Moscow, with which have definitely verified their place in the knockout phase.
It should be stressed that the Citizens at the moment are by far the most efficient team of the Premier League with even 28 scored goals for which the greatest merit certainly goes to great Aguero. Besides him Negredo stabilised in the top of the attack in recent time. Regarding the rest of the team, a lot of changes are expected in the defence and midfield after a blunder in Sunderland. We should add that are still questionable unrecovered stopper Kompany, midfielders Silva and attackers Jovetic.
Tottenham Hotspur team are currently sitting seventh in the table with 20 points from six wins, two draws and three defeats. Away from home they lost 1-0 at Arsenal earlier in the season which is the only time their defence has been breached in five Premier League road trips. Other away results comprise of wins at Palace (1-0), Cardiff (1-0) and Villa (2-0) and a 0-0 draw at Everton. With just nine league goals in 11 games Spurs are starting to become frustrating and, because of this, Adebayor could make his first appearance of the season against old club Manchester City. Eriksen sustained an ankle injury on international duty with Denmark and will be out for around 4 weeks. while while Danny Rose remains sidelined. Fryers and Chadli have recovered from their respective troubles and also Hugo Lloris is fit to return in goal.

Possible line-ups:
Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Pantilimon; Zabaleta, Demichelis, Nastasic, Clichy; Fernandinho, Touré; Nasri, Agüero, Navas; Negredo.
Tottenham (4-2-3-1):
Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Vertonghen; Dembélé, Paulinho; Townsend, Sandro, Sigurdsson; Adebayor.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich Bundesliga - November 23, 2013

0 التعليقات
Borussia Dortmund will host  Bayern Munich on upcoming Saturday 23 November, 2013 for the top game of the 13th Bundesliga matchday. The meeting between Dortmund and Bayern will be the rematch of last season's Champions League Final. Both coaches will miss some key players like Hummels, Subotic and Schmelzer or Schweinsteiger and Ribery.
Borussia Dortmund team plays perfectly this season but only at home where they won all six matches, with an average of over three scored goals per match. Away is less convincing and that is why Borussia has four points less than the Bavarians. In the last round they were defeated for the second time despite that they took a lead in Wolfsburg. It was their second consecutive lost match, which Borussia didn’t experience for a long time. They lost to Arsenal in Dortmund in the Champions League, which ruined the London’s victory and made the placement in the eight-finals questionable.
Additionally, injury related problems have accumulated at the worst possible moment. Both stoppers, Hummels and Subotic are out of action, as well as the left midfielders Schmelzer, while from before there is no right midfielder Piszczek, so Klopp has to change the entire defence line. He will improvise with Blaszczykowski on the right and Groskreutz on the left flank, while experienced Friedrich will join Sokratis at stoppers’ positions. The attack will be not changed and the best players will play.
  • Probable lineups Borussia Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller; Grosskreutz, Friedrich, Durm, Sokratis; Bender, Sahin; Blaszczykowski, Mkhitaryan, Reus; Lewandowski.

Bayern München welcomes this match with a much calmer mind, firstly because they don’t have problems in the Champions League where they have already secured the next round, and secondly they are the leaders in the standings and have four points advantage, which is psychologically very important for matches like this one is. Additionally, Bayern continues to set new records and they are the now record holders in successive matches without defeat in the Bundesliga. The only defeat this season in all competitions is the one from the Super Cup, that took place right in Dortmund and it can be an additional motive. There are in a series of six wins in all competitions, although are not so convincing when they play away.
Bayern too has problems with injuries and they pay the bill for national teams gathering, so they are without their best player Ribery. This opens the path for former Borussia’s player Gotze who will replace him, while Lahm could return on the right flank, and Tell Martinez will be the defensive midfielder given that there is no Schweinsteiger.
  • Probable lineups Bayern Munich (4-1-4-1): Neuer; Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba; Martinez; Gotze, Kroos, Muller, Robben; Mandzukic.

Friends Arena, Solna- 19 November, 2013- WC 2014 playoff second leg- 19.45 UK

Sweden 2-3 Portugal (WC 2014 Qualif):
50′ 0-1 Cristiano Ronaldo // 68′ Zlatan Ibrahimovic 1-1 // 72′ Zlatan Ibrahimovic 2-1 // 77′ 2-2 Cristiano Ronaldo // 79′ 2-3 Cristiano Ronaldo

Portugal 0-1: Cristiano Ronaldo goal vs Sweden (50').
Sweden 1-1: Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal vs Portugal (68').
Sweden 2-1: Zlatan Ibrahimovic second goal vs Portugal (72').
Portugal 2-2: Cristiano Ronaldo second goal vs Sweden (77').
Portugal 2-3: Cristiano Ronaldo third goal vs Sweden (79').

The battle between Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Cristiano Ronaldo was finally on shown last Tuesday when Sweden play host to Portugal in their World Cup playoffs second leg battle. Only being separated by a single goal from their first meeting, both sides looked really cautious during the first 45 minutes which ended in a rather disappointing goalless draw.
After the break, it was Portugoal that got things going when Ronaldo scored again against their Scandinavian rival on 50 minutes. However, that lead only lasted until 68 minutes as Sweden got back on level terms thanks to a close range header from Ibrahimovic. The PSG striker showcasing his quality again when he netted his second on 72 minutes, giving his nation another lifeline.
That hope was trashed away pretty soon though as Ronaldo strike again on 77 minutes, grabbing his brace and made it 2-2. The Real Madrid attacker was not done yet as two minutes later, he completed his hat-trick and basically sealed his country's passage to Brazil 2014.

WC Qualification Europe Group Play-Offs - France vs Ukraine
Match date: Thursday 19th November, 2013
Kick Off Time: 20:00 UK (BST) - 01:30 (IST) - 8:00 PM GMT
Venue: Stade De France, Paris, France
Referee:‬ Damir Skomina (SVN)

But this is certainly a lot easier said than done, especially if they do not improve their game in the middle of the field, since they were defeated against a much more physically prepared Ukrainians four days ago. In addition, they have showed a lot of weaknesses in the second half the last line, which has resulted with two received goals and the suspension of Koscielny in the injury time. As for the attack, things have not clearly functioned there the way their coach Deschamps wanted, but he still trusts in the fact that they have performed a lot better at home than on the side so he firmly believes that they can now catch up with these two goals differences.
Of course, we expect a much more offensive game from the French now than in Kiev, which means that they will create a lot of room for quick counter-attacks of their guests, so they still need to be extremely careful and disciplined in the last line. This is why it is expected that the stoppers duo will this time consist of young Varane and Sakho instead of the suspended Koscielny and somewhat insecure Abidal, while there might be a few changes in the top of the attack as well, so that Benzema could get an advantage over Giroud.

As for the Ukrainians, they are much more relaxed before this rematch in Paris, considering that they have taken advantage of playing at home four days ago and came to the great victory of 2-0. Otherwise, they have very cleverly played in this game, because they first of all stopped the two most dangerous French players Nasri and Ribery, and then patiently waited for their chance in the rest of the match. This happened in the 61st minute when Zozulya scored one goal, while they also used the penalty in the finish of the match through their best player Yarmolenko, who brought Ukraine only one step away from the placement in Brazil.
However, they are very well aware that they are about to experience a very tough 90 minutes in Paris, primarily because the hosts will move aggressively from the first minute towards the goal of the goalkeeper Pyatov. However, this will also be a great opportunity for their fleet-footed wingers Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka and young striker Zozulya to score once again, and thus definitely extinguish all French hopes of qualifying in the World Cup. On the other hand, the last line of the Ukraine will this time be in a lot more trouble, because they are their suspended Kucher will not be able to perform in this match.

Possible line-ups:
France: Lloris – Debuchy, Varane, Sakho, Evra – Matuidi, Pogba – Remy, Nasri, Ribery – Benzema.
Ukraine: Pyatov – Fedetsky, Rakitsky, Khacheridi, Shevchuk – Stepanenko, Rotan – Yarmolenko, Edmar, Konoplyanka – Zozulya.

Mexico vs New Zealand FIFA Qualifications 13 November, 2013

0 التعليقات

On Wednesday, 13th November at 2:30 PM EST, Mexico will host New Zealand at Estadio Azteca for World Cup 2014 Intercontinental Playoffs.
Mexicans have dangerously “gambled” in these qualifications for which they could have paid dearly. Six teams have competed in this group of teams from North and Central America, where three directly go to Brazil, so it is logical that Mexico is a great favourite for one of these positions. However, the Mexicans had many problems, primarily with their efficiency and they scored only seven goals in ten matches. They had five draw matches, of which three times at home, with just one win and only three goals scored. They were especially bad in the finish of the qualifications when they lost three of four games and eventually finished in fourth place in the barrage.
They changed their selectors, and from mid-October Miguel Herrera is on the bench, who coached them in one match, when they defeated Finland with 4-2 in a friendly match last month. The Mexicans are also having a lot of problems with their composition, and their biggest disadvantage is the lack of their striking duo Chicharito and dos Santos, who will not play in these barrage matches.
  • Probable lineups Mexico: Munoz – Valenzuela, Rodriguez, Marquez – Aguilar, Layun, Medina, Pena, Molina – Peralta, Jimenez.

New Zealand team enters with high hopes and should be able to play carefree ball as the underdogs here. Still, with a second leg to come at home, they will likely sit back and play tight defending and hope for a break on the counter. They know what a strong result here would do to the Mexican psyche for the 2nd leg. However, the All Whites received a massive blow to their hopes as captain Winston Reid had to withdraw due to a training injury at his club West Ham United. Top-scorer Shane Smeltz, however, has handed the underdogs a boost, returning from hip surgery in time to be available for selection.
  • Probable lineups New Zealand: Moss – Bertos, Smith, Durante, Lochhead – McGlinchey, Clapham – Brockie, Barbarouses, James – Wood.

Real Betis vs Barcelona 1-4 Highlights 10-11-2013

0 التعليقات
Spanish Primera Division - Real Betis vs Barcelona
Venue: Estadio Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, Spain

Barcelona had no problem defeating Real Betis -- now the last-placed team in La Liga -- on Sunday, as expected. While the hosts had a few very nice early counters, they ultimately didn't have the quality to contend on either end and let in some fairly soft goals en route to a 4-1 win for the Blaugrana. The result of the game was secondary before a goal was scored, however, with Lionel Messi exiting the game early.

Manchester United vs Arsenal Premier League - November 10, 2013

0 التعليقات

After overcoming Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal have the chance to end an an amazing hat-trick when they travel to Old Trafford to face Man United on Sunday.

Manchester United team has recently improved, especially when compared to the start of the season when their performance was, to put it mildly, poor. Nevertheless, it still not the club, not the football form we observed last season. Manchester United occupy the eight position losing to leading Arsenal eight points. Manager Moyes’ players did not lose the last five matches, among which the last game ended in a goalless draw against Real Sociedad. Yet, their performance in Premiership is not stable but still better than it was a few weeks ago. Manchester United won the last two matches in the League but the upcoming clash may be a hard time for them. Losing this game to Arsenal means being eleven points behind the leader.

Arsenal’s performance in the Premiership commands respect. After ten games they may boast about winning eight; they lost only once, and one of their game ended in a draw. They have also an enviable goal scoring balance, +13. The Gunners are currently five points above the second Chelsea. Increasing the distance between the Blues will be demanding against Manchester United, even if Moyes’ players are going through a crisis. They still have great football individualities among their ranks. However, what should be emphasized is the fact that Arsene Wenger’s players’ morale is high following the last gameweek’s 2-0 win against Liverpool and Wednesday’s win 1-0 against Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Even though a few players are still not fit for the game due to the injuries, their absence is not so visible.

Competition: Barclays English Premier League, 11. round 2013-14
Venue: Old Trafford - Manchester, England
Date: Sunday, November 10th 2013

Juventus vs Napoli Italian Serie A 10 November, 2013

Italian Serie A - Juventus vs Napoli
Match date: Sunday 10 November 2013
Kick Off Time: 19:45 UK (BST) - 6:45 p.m. GMT
Venue: Juventus Arena, Torino, Italy

Juventus vs SSC Napoli For the very end of the 12th round of Italian Serie A has stayed a big derby that puts together two teams that currently occupy second and third place at the table, having just three points less than leading Roma.
Both teams stand on 28 points through 11 games and are only tied for second because AS Roma currently leads with 31 points through 11 games. Juventus have won five of their last six league matches, including last weekend's narrow victory at Parma. Napoli have also recorded five wins from their last six league outings, the latest coming against Catania last Saturday. As for the Champions League, Juventus relaunched their knockout phase bid thanks to a 2-2 draw at home to Real Madrid which, although leaving them bottom of Group B, keeps them within touching distance of Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen. Napoli will take plenty of confidence to Turin in the wake of a 3-2 win over Marseille which boosted their last 16 hopes.
Giorgio Chiellini will miss this important clash through injury. Juve will be also without Lichsteiner, Pepe, Caceres and Vucinic, who are all still injured. Ogbonna will be in the starting lineup since Conte will choose a 3-5-2 formation with Tevez-Llorente up front. Marchisio could be benched and replaced by in-form Pogba.
Napoli are set to welcome back defender Maggio following suspension, but Britos (collarbone), Zuniga and Mesto (both knee) miss out. The Partenepoei secured the free signing of Anthony Reveillere on Friday but the veteran defender is unlikely to feature. Hamsik could return for the visitors, after the striker was benched for the game against Marseille.

Possible line-ups:
Juventus (3-5-2): Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Isla, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez, Llorente.
Napoli (4-2-3-1):
Reina; Maggio, Fernandez, Albiol, Armero; Inler, Behrami; Callejon, Hamsik, Mertens; Higuain.

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad Spanish Primera Division 10 November, 2013

0 التعليقات
Real Madrid team has finished the job as far as the Champions League is concerned and eighth-finals are not in question, and perhaps even winning the first place in the group. They survived the difficult away match in Turin against Juventus, where they won a point, which was quite satisfactory. It could be seen that they are free from pressure and it is no wonder that they managed to avoid defeat even after the host had taken the lead. Ronaldo is still in a great shape and expensive summer reinforcements Gareth Bale, who now plays very well, is catching-up fast.
Coach Ancelotti played in Torino with Sergio Ramos on the right flank, but in this match is more likely that Carvajal appears on that position. Returnee Xabi Alonso gets more and more playing time while Isco is less present in the team, who is clearly not Ancelotti’s favourite. Cassilas was at the goal in Turin, and now Diego Lopez will probably be back.
  • Probable lineups Real Madrid: Diego Lopez – Carvajal, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo – Xabi Alonso, Modric – di Maria, C.Ronaldo, Bale – Benzema.
Real Sociedad is very good lately and looks more and more like that team who was so good last season when they qualified for the Champions League in which they, however, cannot keep with the best. They will hardly win the third position, but nevertheless on Tuesday they won the first point against Manchester United. They were lucky as the guests had missed the penalty, but anyway they bravely stood up against the big club. In the championship have stringed four matches without a defeat, of which they won three. They were particularly convincing in the last two matches in which they scored eight goals against Almeria and Osasuna.
Coach Arass logically rotates the team because of playing in two strong competitions, so this time there will be probably new changes. It is possible that in the defence play the same players as against Manchester United, while the midfield and attack will be refreshed. Xabi Prieto, Seferovic and Chori Castro are possible starters, although it can happen that only one of them plays from the first minute.
  • Probable lineups Real Sociedad: Bravo – C. Martinez, M. Gonzalez, I. Martinez, de la Bella – Bergara, Ruben Pardo – Griezmann, Vela, Xabi Prieto – Seferovic.

0 التعليقات
Stadio San Paolo, Naples- 6 November, 2013- 19.45 UK KO - Champions League

However, it was not an easy contest for the home side as instead of getting themselves in front, they found themselves trailing through Andre Ayew's effort after just 10 minutes of play. The home side bounced back in style though as they equalized on 22 minutes, thanks to a spectacular strike from Gokhan Inler.
Napoli were spurred on with that equalizing goal as they pushed forward and extended their lead through their summer signing Gonzalo Higuain on 24 minutes. The away were not done yet as they got back on level terms, with an effort arriving from Florian Thauvin. However, it was the host that earned all three points when Higuain netting home his second in that encounter, 15 minutes from time.

FC Barcelona v AC Milan Champions league 06-11-2013

0 التعليقات

FC Barcelona will play against AC Milan on Wednesday November 6, 2013 (11/6/2013) for UEFA Champions League at 2:45 PM (New York time).
In the first game against AC Milan at San Siro stadium in Italy, FC Barcelona managed a 1-1 draw, which was a decent result and much better than the 2-0 shock defeat they suffered in the previous Champions season at the San Siro. After the 2-0 result Barca dug deep and found their best form to stage a dramatic comeback and beat  AC Milan 4-0, so fingers crossed for a great result against AC Milan on Wed 6/11. FC Barcelona are top of their group H with 7 points from with three wins and a draw. Milan are in second place with 5 points are 1 win and 2 draws. In their national leagues Barca are top of La Liga in Spain with an almost perfect 34 point score out of 36 possible points and the best goal balance in Europe at the moment with 34 goals score and only 7 in the Barca net. In Italy meanwhile, AC Milan trail in 10th place in the Serie A Italian division after collecting only one point in their last three games. So with the home game advantage and record league form this season, FC Barcelona should be feeling confident. But Milan are always a formidible opponent.

Wilshere and Gibbs will undergo late fitness tests and Diaby, Podolski, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott are all still out. Also young winger Serge Gnabry is struggling with an ankle injury.
