Liverpool vs Watford Predictions Premier League - February 27, 2019

0 التعليقات
Liverpool vs Watford - Competition: Premier League
Date: 27 February 2019 - Kick-off Time: 20:00 GMT
Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool team were held to a goalless draw by Man UTD in their last outing on Sunday. They were disappointed, but that point was still enough to put them clear of Manchester City and into first place. The Reds recorded an impressive 3-0 victory against Bournemouth in their most recent home game in the league but recorded another scoreless draw against Bayern in the UCL last week. Anfield is still something of a fortress as Jugen Klopp's men have conceded only one goal in the last 405 minutes of football they have played. Anyway, The Reds have been held to one goal or less in three of their last four matches in the Premier League, so the attack is struggling. As to direct encounters against Watford, Liverpool have won 10 of the previous 11 top flight games between the sides at this ground.
The hosts are expected to be without Roberto Firmino after the Brazilian forward twisted his ankle on Sunday. The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge are possible candidates to start as well as Naby Keita, who is expected to play in the offensive midfield trio behind Mo Salah. Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren remain sidelined for the Reds, who are expected to welcome Trent Alexander-Arnold back into the starting XI. Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum are strong favourites to feature from the off in the middle of the park.
Watford team have recorded back-to-back wins in the league, including a 5-1 thumping of Cardiff City last time out. They have only lost two of their last 15 fixtures in all competitions, and the only two defeats have come in tight games against Chelsea and Tottenham. As a result, the Hornets currently sit 7th in the Premier League standings and boast a W5 D5 L4 away record. Only the current top five have scored more away goals than Javi Gracia's men (22) this season. Watford have a poor record in recent meetings with the Merseysiders - losing five and winning none of their last six meetings while conceding 20 goals in the process and scoring just five.
The Hornets will still be without Jose Holebas as he serves the second of his two-match ban. Kiko Femenia also remains sidelined but elsewere Javi Gracia may have a fully fit squad to choose from besides. The Watford boss will surely be tempted to name an unchanged team meaning that Gerard Deulofeu and Troy Deeney will spearhead the attack while Adalberto Penaranda, Isaac Success and Andre Gray will likely be tussling for a place on the bench at best. The likes of Will Hughes, Etienne Capoue, Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucourè will start in midfield.

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Shaqiri, Keita, Mane; Salah

Watford (4-4-2): Foster; Janmaat, Mariappa, Cathcart, Masina; Hughes, Doucoure, Capoue, Pereyra; Deulofeu, Deeney

Liverpool vs Arsenal Premier League - 29-12-2018

0 التعليقات

Liverpool vs Arsenal- Competition: Premier League
Date: 29 December 2018 - Kick-off Time: 17:30 GMT
Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool team head into their final game of 2018 with a six-point lead at the top of the table having won 16 and lost none of their opening 19 fixtures. They beat Newcastle 4-0 on Boxing Day while Man City suffered their second straight loss. Salah rediscovered form and Jurgen Klopp's men have netted 14 goals in their last five across competitions. The last time the Reds didn't win in Premier League was when they drew the reverse fixture against City 1-1 last month. The last two meetings between Liverpool and Arsenal have both resulted in draws. Anyway, the Reds have bagged comfortable wins in both of the sides’ last two head-to-head clashes at this ground.
Jurgen Klopp may switch back to a 4-3-3 for the visit of free-scoring Arsenal. James Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum could be joined by Fabinho in the central midfield three while James Milner remains out after missing the Newcastle match last time out. Naby Keita and Adam Lallana provide further options in the engine room. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino having started in all of the meetings against the "big six" sides this season and are expected to form the front trio, altough Xherdan Shaqiri is the in-form man. The back four are set to remain unchanged given the magnitude of the fixture.
Arsenal team ended their disappointing two-match losing streak – 3:2 to Southampton in the top flight and 0-2 against Tottenham (0-2) in the League Cup – with a 3-1 win over Burnley last week. Anyway, they failed to beat Brighton on the road on Boxing Day (1-1) and  dropped out of the top four in the league standings. Anyway, they are only two points shy of Chelsea in fourth and they certainly have enough attacking talent to remain in the race for UCL qualification. The Gunners have only won one of their previous five league matches on the road and their lack of clean sheets (none away from home and just three in total) is a major concern.
Laurent Koscielny is unlikely to feature after being forced off last time out, joining Hector Bellerin, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal, Rob Holding, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Danny Welbeck and Emile Smith-Rowe on the sidelines. Ozil was hauled off at half-time against Brighton and will be benched, with Aaron Ramsey favourite to replace the German ebhind the front duo formed by Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The likes of Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira will anchor the midfield while Granit Xhaka could be required to play at the back.

Probable lineups:
Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Fabinho; Salah, Firmino, Manè
Arsenal (3-4-1-2): Leno; Lichtsteiner, Sokratis, Xhaka; Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Torreira, Guendouzi; Ramsey; Aubameyang, Lacazette.

Liverpool vs Manchester City Premier League 07-10-2018

Liverpool vs Manchester City - Competition: Premier League

Liverpool team are currently runner-up to Manchester City only on goal difference, after both teams accumulated 19 points from a possible 21. Jurgen Klopp's men are winless in their last three outings, having lost at the hands of Chelsea in English FL Cup and SSC Napoli in UCL, and drawn against the Blues in EPL last weekend. The Reds are undefeated in their last 24 home matches in Premier League have kept clean sheets in their last 8 league matches at Anfield. As to direct matches, Liverpool have won their last six home matches against City.
Naby Keita should be available despite a back injury picked up in Naples on Wednesday. Jordan Henderson, who replaced Keita on Wednesday evening, looks a stronger bet to start against City. Up front Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge are fresh options in attack given that Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could be tired. Klopp could make changes also at the back.  Nathaniel Clyne, Alberto Moreno, Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip are the understudies should the German make a change or two in defence.

City have only dropped two points this season, a 1-1 draw against newly-promoted Wolves. They enter this match on the back of a pivotal victory in Champions League - 1:2 against Hoffenheim in midweek - as they were upset by Lyon at the Etihad Stadium in the first round. Domestically, Pep Guardiola's men have won 5 matches in a row, outscoring their opponents 15-1. The Citizens have won 11 of their last 13 away matches in all competitions but have conceded 7 goals in their last two visits to Anfield, including last season's UCL mauling.
Pep Guardiola is hopeful that Benjamin Mendy will return but Kevin De Bruyne remains sidelined. Sergio Aguero has been playing through the pain barrier of late due to a foot problem, but is once again favourite to start ahead of Gabriel Jesus in attack. The Argentine is likely to be flanked by Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sanè, with Riyad Mahrez main alternative. David and Bernardo Silva will start in midfield alongside Fernandinho, despite Ilkay Gundogan is pushing to feature from the off. Fabian Delph, Claudio Bravo and Eliaquim Mangala remain sidelined.

Liverpool vs Watford Premier League - 17 March, 2018

0 التعليقات

Liverpool vs Watford - Competition: Premier League

Liverpool team fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Man United in their last game but remain 4th in the EPL table, with a 4 points margin over 5th-placed Chelsea. Prior to that, the Reds secured their qualification to the Champions League quarter finals thanks to a goalless draw at Anfield Road against FC porto (the first leg in Portugal saw Jurgen Klopp's men win 5-0). After 15 league games at home, Liverpool are yet to lose, and they have won nine times.
Nathaniel Clyne is the only reported injury concern for Liverpool this weekend. Jurgen Klopp may decide to hand recalls to Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip for this clash. The former should replace either James Milner or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in central midfield while the latter is an alternative to Dejan Lovren at centre-back. No changes are expected up front where Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Man+ are expected to feature from the off.
Watford team are closing on on securing their English Premier League status for another season. They sit 10th in the table, with a 9 points margin over Crystal Palace and Stoke City in 18th and only eight games remaining. The Hornets have a strong home record with 13 points earned in the last 5 outings at Vicarage Road but their away record is pretty poor. They put in a rather uninspiring performance against Arsenal team as they were hammered 3-0 at Emirates last weekend. The Hornets have lost 7 of their last 8 away matches in EPL and failed to scored in the last 4 on the travel.
New Hornets' manager Javi Gracia will be without eight players for the trip to Anfield. Kiko Femenía may continue in an advanced position on the right flank at the expense of Andre Carrillo. Richarlison will be moved to a central role, with Roberto Pereyra stationed on the left wing. Troy Deeney should keep his place as central striker. Younes Kaboul, Molla Wague, Tom Cleverley and Christian Kabasele all remain sidelined, while Nathaniel Chalobah and Gerard Deulofeu are long-term absentees.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Premier League - February 10, 2018

Tottenham vs Arsenal - Competition: English Premier League

Tottenham team enter this match on the back of a 2-0 victory over Newport County in English FA Cup last Wednesday. As to the Premier League, they clawed their way back to hold Liverpool to a 2-2 draw last weekend. Spurs now sit a place and four points above Arsenal coming into the match and are enjoying a 12 match unbeaten run. Mauricio Pochettino's men are are unbeaten in their last three North London derbies at home against Arsenal in the league, winning two.
Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Harry Winks all returned from injury to start in midweek but they are all expected to make the bench. Lucas Moura is also available for Tottenham after he was forced to miss the FA Cup last time out. Anyway, Mauricio Pochettino will keep faith in his usual attack, with Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung Min supporting the lone striker Harry Kane upfront. Serge Aurier played the full 90 minutes in midweek, so Kieran Tripper looks poised to start at right-back. Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies will complete the back four while Eric Dier and Mousa Dembelè are likely to anchor the midfield, with Victor Wanyama providing cover.
Arsenal were in blistering form against Everton last time out and triumphed 5-1, with new signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mhkitaryan in impressive form. Arsene Wenger's side is one of the best home team in the top flight but their away record is very poor. The Gunners have won only one of their last eight competitive games on the road, and have lost back to back games on the travels against Swansea and Bournemouth. In terms of direct matches, Arsenal defeated Tottenham 2-0 when these two met in November at the Emirates Stadium
Arsene Wenger has revealed that Petr Cech is a doubt for the North London Derby, so we will probably see David Ospina defending the Gunners' goal. The Gunners boss may decide to switch from a 4-2-3-1 formation to a slightly more defensive 4-3-3. That would see Jack Wilshere joining Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey in the middle of the park. Up front, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are expected to start in advanced midfield positions behind striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette provide further options. In defense, Nacho Monreal looks set to be in contention following illness, with Ainsley Maitland Niles and Sead Kolasinac viable alternatives.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal English Premier League 28/12/2017

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal
Competition: Premier League
Date: 28 December 2017
Kick-off Time: 20:00 GMT
Venue: Selhurst Park, London

Crystal Palace currently has 16 points less than Arsenal, but it should be mentiond that the last season’s triumph of the team with as much as 3-0, because they have thus ended a series of seven defeats and one draw in duels with Arsenal. The current form of Crystal Palace is at a high level because they are in the series of three championship wins and five draws series, which, among other things, led the team to their long-awaited escape from the relegation zone.
All thanks are given to their coach, Hodgson, who brilliantly succeeded to find the extra strength in his players, both in defence and in the attack, since, in the last four games, they scored an average of two goals. However, Crystal Palace is still only 02 points away from the 18th Bournemouth, so it is expected that the team will try to stay undefeated against Arsenal. The defenders Fosu-Mensah, Ward, Sakho and Delaney and striker Wickham will be absent for this match.
Arsenal on the other side had a good match with Liverpool, in which they managed to return from the minus of 02 goals in six minutes, and then when they had a 3-2 lead, they received the third goal and eventually had to contend with just one point. And since it is their 3rd draw in the last four rounds, then it was quite logical to break the placement on the table so Arsenal currently occupy the 6th position, but with the same number of points as fifth Tottenham and one less than the fourth Reds.
As a result, Arsenal now will try to defeat Crystal Palace in this dual, which on the other hand plays very good lately, so, coach Wenger’s players, will have to play well to get to all the three points. Besides that, Arsenal's defence has shown a lot of weaknesses in the game with Liverpool, so coach, Wenger is expected to makes several changes in the starting lineup. The injured playrers are: defender Monreal, midfielders Ramsey and Cazorla, and striker Giroud.

Crystal Palace last 5 matches:
02/12/17 West Brom 0 – 0 Crystal Palace
09/12/17 Crystal Palace 2 – 2 Bournemouth
12/12/17 Crystal Palace 2 – 1 Watford
16/12/17 Leicester City 0 – 3 Crystal Palace
23/12/17 Swansea City – Crystal Palace

Arsenal last 5 matches:
10/12/17 Southampton 1 – 1 Arsenal
13/12/17 West Ham 0 – 0 Arsenal
16/12/17 Arsenal 1 – 0 Newcastle
19/12/17 Arsenal 1 – 0 West Ham
22/12/17 Arsenal – Liverpool

Watford vs Manchester United
Competition: Premier League
Date: 28 November 2017
Kick-off Time: 20:00 GMT
Venue: Vicarage Road Stadium, Watford

Watford team are aware that now is far more difficult task given that the guests from Manchester occupy at the moment the second place in the table and every point is very important in the race for the top. Manchester United come to Watford after three consecutive defeats away, which is a chance for coach Silva players especially, as in two previous rounds, won West Ham at home 2-0 and Newcastle away 3-0 last weekend.
Player, Troy Deeney, is present for this after serving a three-game ban while, Miguel Britos and Kiko Femenia, are both doubts for this game. Coach, Marvin Zeegelaar's probable lineups, may keep Jose Holebas out, with in-form Will Hughes also expected to retain his starting berth in midfield alongside Aboulaye Doucourè and Roberto Pereyra. In the up front, striker Andrè Gray should continue to lead the line, with Richarlison tucked behind him. In defense, Sebastian Prodl, Christian Kabasele and Adrian Mariappa are expected  to defend Heurelho Gomes' posts. While player: Younes Kaboul, Craig Cathcart, Tommie Hoban, Isaac Success, and Nathaniel Chalobah are all remaining injured.
The guests from Manchester made a good record of 10 wins out of 10 at Old Trafford on Saturday with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Brighton. A win is a win though, and it kept Manchester Uinted in the second place in the Premier League table. Anyway, the team have tasted defeat in three of their last four road trips in all competitions, including their last two Premier League away matches at Huddersfield and Chelsea as well as an UEFA Champions League clash in Basel, Switzerland. The Red Devils have won 9 of their last 10 games against Watford in all competitions but lost by 3-1 in this corresponding fixture last season. Centre-backs, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones, are still doubtful of attending this match, which means that coach, Josè Mourinho, could play with a three main backline formed by players: Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof. Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind are likely to start as wing backs of the 3-5-1-1 system, meaning that Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia will stay on the bench. Coach, Mourinho, may make major changes  up front, where Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are likely to be rested, allowing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata or Zlatan Ibrahimovic to support a struggling Romelu Lukaku in attack. Ander Herrera, Pual Pogba and Marouane Fellaini are expected to start in the middle of the match, with player, Nemanja Matic, as further option.

Liverpool vs Manchester United English Premier League 14-10-2017

Liverpool vs Manchester United
Competition: Premier League

The great derby comes for the Liverpool after two consecutive away draws by 1-1. Liverpool firstly drew in the UEFA Champions League with Spartak Moscow and then in the Premier League with Newcastle, which is why the Liverpool has even 07 points fewer than leading duo from Manchester. Concerning players, it is certainly the most important to outline that the newest name on the injured list is great striker Mane, while on it are from before: defender Clyne, midfielder Lallana and forward Ings.
Unlike for Liverpool, the greatest English derby comes for the guest from Manchester after six consecutive victories, which indicates they will at Anfield stadium go after all three points. On top of it they are still locked in the dead heat for the first place in Premier League with their city rival. Manchester United is inspired in attack lately, given that it won 04 games by four scored goals in a short period of time.
In the second round of UEFA Champions League, Manchester United defeated CSKA Moscow away by 4-1, while in the League Cup they defeated at home with the 2nd team second-division Burton by the same result. Regarding the Premier League, Manchester United outclassed at home by 4-0 Everton and Crystal Palace, while in Southampton the team won by 1-0. Currently out of action are defender Rojo, midfielders Pogba and Fellaini and forward Ibrahimovic, while stopper Jones is not completely ready.

 Probable Lineups:
Liverpool: Mignolet – Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno – Wijnaldum, Henderson, Emre Can – Salah, Firmino, Coutinho
Manchester United: de Gea – Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Young – Herrera, Matic – Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford – Lukaku

Manchester United vs Sunderland - Competition: English Premier League

Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

Manchester United team have kick-started their EPL campaign since the start of the month with three straight victories extending their unbeaten run to eight games. Last weekend the Red Devils beat West Brom on the travels (0:2) courtesy of a brace scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. United are now 6th in the Premier League standings 4 points below Arsenal in 4th. In terms of direct matches, they have won 6 of their last 7 home encounters against Sunderland in all competitions.
Luke Shaw is United’s only absentee as both Eric Bailly and Mkhitaryan are back in contention. Jose Mopurinho will be tempted to name the starting XI that started against WBA, with Michael Carrick stationed in front of the back four, leaving Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba in central midfield. Up front, Wayne Rooney has started in each their last two matches after a time on the bench and may keep his place in the team on Boxing Day with Anthony Martial still out in the cold. As usual, Zlatan will spearhead the attack.
Sunderland picked up a valuable 1-0 win over Watford at the weekend but have been dire on the road this season. The Black Cats have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches and have also failed to score in 5 of these 6 games. David Moyes' men endured their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign, and although the Black Cats have improved lately, they now sit in 18th spot in the Premier League table, one point below the safe zone.
Adnan Januzaj is ineligible to face his parent club while Steven Pienaar and BIlli Jones are also a question mark ahead of this clash. David Moyes is likely to field a 4-5-1 formation with Jermaine Defoe as lone striker and the likes of Fabio Borini and Victor Anichebe as offensive wingers. Didier Ndong and Jason Denayer look set to keep their places in central midfield. Jack Rodwell, Paddy McNair, Jan Kirchhoff, Lee Cattermole, Duncan Watmore and Lynden Gooch are all ruled out.

Probable lineups:
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Darmian, Rojo, Jones, Valencia; Carrick, Herrera; Rooney, Pogba, Mata; Ibrahimovic.
Sunderland (4-5-1): Pickford; Love, Konè, Djilobodji, Van Aanholt; Ndong, Denayer, Pienaar, Borini, Anichebe; Defoe.

Manchester United vs Tottenham - Competition: Premier League

Manchester United team come into this game six points behind Sunday's opponents. They have drawn their last 4 home matches and enter this match on the back of a 1-1 away draw against Everton. Anyway, they beat Zorya Luhansk (0:2 in Ukraine) on Thursday and advanced to the knock-out stage in Europa League. The Red Devils have not won back-to-back games in all competitions since September but they have a good record in direct matches as they are undefeated in 19 of their last 21 home matches against Tottenham in all competitions.
Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw are the only injury concerns for Jose Mourinho. After playing 90 minutes on Thursday night, Eric Bailly could be set to start for this clash. Michael Carrick, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia were among the rested players in midweek and will return to the starting XI here. Ibrahimovic is expected to lead the line once again. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial are the favourites to start out wide, although Mourinho has a wealth of options to choose from, including Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford.
Tottenham team have lost just once in League this campaign and come fresh off a 5-0 hammering of Swansea at White Hart Lane last weekend to get themselves back in the mood to challenge the top four. They also recorded 3-1 home win in the mid-week Champions League game against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, which guaranteed a place in the Europa League knockout stages. Spurs have posted a W2 D4 L1 record out on the road this season, but they lost their last away game which was out at rivals Chelsea.
Toby Alderweireld returned from a leg injury to play 22 minutes on Wednesday night and could start here. Mousa Dembélé was rested on Wednesday but will start in the middle of the park. Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min could then operate in the advanced midfield positions behind lone striker Harry Kane. The likes of Sissoko, Harry and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou provide alternative options Erik Lamela and Vincent Janssen are still sidelined, but Ben Davies has returned to training and is back in contention.

Manchester United vs West Ham Premier League - 27-11-2016

0 التعليقات
Manchester United vs West Ham United
Competition: English Premier League

After a comfortable 4-0 win against Feyenoord in UEL, Manchester United team will look to replicate their dominating performance. The Red Devils were very impressive against Arsenal too, and should have been further in front when Olivier Giroud's 89th-minute equaliser secured a 1-1 draw. Their home form is largely encouraging - as they only lost against Man City so far, and they have won five of their last eight home matches in all competitions. They sit 6th in the Premier League, 9 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Ibrahimovic will return to the side after last weekend's match through suspension. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has given Jose Mourinho a real headache after flourishing in midweek's game and the Armenia international could replace Marcus Rashford in the offensive midfield trio, alongside Paul Pogba and Juan Mata. Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones look fairly certain starters in defence, but Daley Blind and Luke Shaw could challenge Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian for starting spots elsewhere in the back four. Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling both remain on the sidelines.
West Ham United team enter this clash on te back of 3-2 derby defeat at Tottenham last weekend, their fifth loss in the last six league matches. Furthermore, Salven Bilic's men have lost 6 of their last 7 away league matches in Premier League and
they conceded at least two goals in all five of those defeats. Only Hull have conceded more goals than the Hammers this season.
The Hammers can welcome back captain Mark Noble from suspension but Winston Reid is banned as he was sent out last weekend. James Collins looks set to earn a recall alongside Cheikhou Kouyate and Angelo Ogbonna in defence. Up front, Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew are in contention for a starting berth while Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet are likely to start as offensive midfielders with Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell deployed as wing backs. Sam Byram, Reece Oxford and Gokhan Tore remain sidelined.

Tottenham vs Southampton Premier League - 08-05-2016

Tottenham vs Southampton
Competition: Premier League
Date: 8 May 2016 - Time: 13:30 BST
Venue: White Hart Lane, London

Monday night’s 2-2 draw away against Chelsea team decisively ended Tottenham’s hopes of winning the title. They must now refocus because they suddenly find themselves fighting to retain second place in the table. Bitter rivals Arsenal are just three points behind them. Spurs have won 10 and lost just one of their last 15 English Premier League fixtures (D4). Furthermore, they have won six of their last nine in the league at White Hart Lane.
Nabil Bentaleb remains the only absentee from Tottenham's first-team squad while Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele are both suspended. Ryan Mason could deputise alongside Eric Dier in the double-pivot, with Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela likely to form the attacking midfield trio behind lone striker Harry Kane once again. Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld are both available after recovering from injuries picked last time out.
Southampton team come into this fixture off the back of a hugely impressive 4-2 victory at home against Man City last weekend. They have only lost to leaders Leicester in their last eight matches and they are chasing European football for next season as back-to-back wins has moved them to within three points of Man United, albeit having played a game more.
Boss Ronald Koeman could name an unchanged side as Florin Gardos is his only injury concern.  Sadio Mane, Steven Davis and Dusan Tadic look likely to form the attacking midfield trio. Graziano Pelle was dropped from the matchday squad against Man City and may be left out once again, leaving Shane Long to operate as the lone striker once again. Jay Rodriguez will be hoping for minutes having come off the bench last weekend. Cuco Martina may again get the nod ahead of Cedric Soares at right-back.
Tottenham have now won seven and lost just one of their last nine matches against the South Coast club (W7-D1-L1) including a 2-0 win at St Mary's in December in which Kane and Alli scored in the space of three minutes just before half time.

Probable lineups:
Tottenham: Lloris – Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies – Dier, Mason – Lamela, Eriksen, Son – Harry Kane.
Southampton: Forster – Soares, van Dijk, Fonte, Bertrand – Wanyama, Clasie – Mane, Davis, Tadic – Long.
