Arsenal vs Manchester City Premier League - 21-12-2015

0 التعليقات

Arsenal vs Manchester City - Competition: Premier League

Arsenal team currently sit second in the league table, and need a victory to reduce to two points the gap from league leaders Leicester City. They are unbeaten in five matches (4-1-0) across all competitions and come high on confidence, particularly following impressive wins over Olympiacos and Aston Villa.
Arsene Wenger could name an unchanged side from the one which won last time out. Alexis Sánchez, who was out due to muscle injuries, could return for the game, but he probably won’t be in the starting line-up. Flamini and Ramsey will keep their place in midfield in the continued absence of Coquelin and Cazorla respectively, with Joel Campbell deputising for Sanchez.
Manchester City go into this match a point behind their opponents after escaped with a 2-1 win over managerless Swansea City last Saturday. They are on a four-game winless run in away matches in Premier League. That poor run on the road started with a 4-1 loss at Tottenham and they failed to score in their next three road trips, 0-0 drawns in the Manchester derby and at Villa and a 2-0 defeat at Stoke.
The return of star striker Sergio Aguero gives the manager reason for optimism ahead of this trip. Captain Vincent Kompany and right-back Pablo Zabaleta are doubts, but Kevin De Bruyne could return after he was dropped to the bench due to fatigue against Swansea. Pablo Zabaleta, Samir Nasri and Fernando are all out through injury.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last three league meetings with Man City, notably beating them 2-0 in Manchester in January. The Citizens have won just once on last 18 visits to Emirates Stadium, although only one of the last six at home has been a defeat.

Probable lineups:
Arsenal: Cech – Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal – Flamini, Ramsey – Walcott, Ozil, Campbell – Giroud.
Man City: Hart – Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Kolarov – Fernandinho, Toure – de Bruyne, Silva, Sterling – Aguero (Bony).

Leicester City vs Chelsea Premier League - December 14, 2015

0 التعليقات

Leicester City vs Chelsea
Competition: English Premier League
Date: 14 December 2015 - Time: 20:00 GMT
Venue: King Power Stadium, Leicester

Leicester City returned to the top of the table last weekend when a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick saw off Swansea City 3-0 in South Wales. Unbeaten in eight English Premier League fixtures, six wins and two draws, the Foxes are also the top scorers in the league, hitting the back of the net 32 times in 16 matches.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri could name an unchanged team as Leonardo Ulloa could come in for Shinji Okazaki once again in a 4-4-2 formation. Similarly, N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Mahrez and Marc Albrighton look certain to keep their starting roles elsewhere in midfield. Ritchie de Laet is the only other injury absentee.
Chelsea team have been dreadful in the league this season and go into the weekend only two points above the relegation zone. They have won just one of their last eight Premier League away games (W1 D2 L5) and suffered another bloody defeat last weekend when Bournemouth cambe back from Stamford Bridge with a 0-1 win.  The Blues have not won any of their last five road trips in the Premier League. Anyway, midweek saw an improved Chelsea display as they beat Porto to progress in the UCL
Mourinho may opt for a similar lineup to the one which brushed aside Porto. Midfielder Cesc Fabregas was dropped in midweek and could miss out again. Striker Radamel Falcao is fit again and could be on the bench as Diego Costa is likely to lead the line. Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian appear in pole position for the attacking midfield spots but Pedro offers an alternative option on the flanks.
Chelsea did the double last season, including a 3-1 win in the corresponding fixture that clinched the title. The Blues have already shipped 24 goals this term, keeping just four clean sheets in the process. Leicester have scored at least 2 goals in 9 of their last 11 matches in the EPL.

Probable lineups:
Leicester City: Schmeichel – Simpson, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs – Mahrez, Drinkwater, Kante, Albrighton – Ulloa, Vardy.
Chelsea: Courtois – Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Azpilicueta – Matic, Ramires – Willian, Oscar, Hazard – Diego Costa.

Wolfsburg vs Manchester United Champions League - 08-12-2015

0 التعليقات
Wolfsburg vs Manchester United - Competition: UEFA Champions League

VfL Wolfsburg team are fifth in the Bundesliga and enter the match on the back of a 1-2 home defeat to Borussia Dortmund. Die Wolfe equalised in the 90th minute against Dortmund on Saturday, only to concede moments later to Shinji Kagawa.
As to the UCL, only two points separate the top three in this group. Wolfsburg top the standing with 9 points, Manchester United is one point behind, PSV sit third with seven points whilst CSKA Moscow can finish no higher than third. They will probably secure the first place in the standings if they avoid defeat here.
Manchester United have been solid and consistent at the back, conceding only three goals in the last 10 fixtures in all competitions but a third consecutive draw at home to West Ham and a fourth goalless draw of the season drew more criticism for the Dutchman and his tactics. In spite of the good Premier League position, it is perfectly clear the Red Devils are not performing to their potential. The Red Devils need to match the result of PSV Eindhoven at least.
Jesse Lindgard should shake off a thigh problem to start while Depay should be benched once again. Morgan Schneiderlin, who was forced off during the game against West Ham with a hip problem, will miss the trip to Germany.  Rooney, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw are all out through injury. Paddy McNair is named in the squad despite coming off against the Hammers with an ankle injury.
Wolfsburg have won both of their home UEFA Champions League matches this term, keeping clean sheets in those games. Anyway, they have played the Red Devils three times previously in the UCL, losing all of them.

Wolfsburg last 5 matches:
07/11/15 Mainz 2 – 0 Wolfsburg
21/11/15 Wolfsburg 6 – 0 Werder Bremen
25/11/15 CSKA Moskva 0 – 2 Wolfsburg
29/11/15 Augsburg 0 – 0 Wolfsburg
05/12/15 Wolfsburg 1 – 2 Dortmund

Manchester United last 5 matches:

Manchester United vs West Ham Premier League - 05-12-2015

0 التعليقات
Manchester United vs West Ham
Competition: English Premier League
Date: 5 December 2015 - Time: 15:00 GMT
Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

Man United have yet to taste defeat on home soil in the top flight and have conceded one goal at Old Trafford this season. Louis van Gaal’s side extended their domestic unbeaten run to six league games with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Leicester City last weekend. The Red Devils will face a make-or-break tie against Wolfsburg next week, as they a victory to guarantee their progress. Rooney will miss the match after suffering an ankle injury and  will be joined on the absentee’s list by Marcos Rojo, who dislocated his shoulder in training. Jesse Lingard has been passed fit and could reclaim the left flank role, though Memphis Depay is also in contention, with the Dutchman also capable of playing centrally behind Anthony Martial. Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones are all out through injury.
West Ham United team are currently eighth in the table after starting the season impressively. Anyway, they have collected just two points from their last four top-flight fixtures and a Lambert’s deflected goal denied the Hammers a win against WBA last weekend. The Hammers have a good record against top clubs as they have already beaten four of last season’s top six clubs -  Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea.
Slaven Bilic will be without Diafra Sakho with the Senegal international likely to be ruled out for around two months with a thigh injury.  Andy Carroll should earn a recall to the starting XI then, with Mauro Zarate, Manuel Lanzini and Victor Moses behing him. Mark Noble and James Collins are also available for selection after missing through suspension last time out. Enner Valencia and Dimitri Payet remain sidelined.
Manchester United's record overall against West Ham is impressive. They are unbeaten in 13 head-to-heads and have won seven straight over the Hammers at Old Trafford. Furthermore, they have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 8 home matches against the Hammers in all competitions. The Red Devils have kept clean sheets in five successive home games in league and cup.

Probable lineups:
Manchester United: de Gea – McNair, Smalling, Blind – Darmian, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Young – Mata – Rooney, Martial.
West Ham: Adrian – Jenkinson, Tomkins, Reid, Cresswell – Noble, Kouyate – Zarate, Lanzini, Moses –Carroll.

Barcelona vs Roma Champions League - 24-11-2015

0 التعليقات

Barcelona vs AS Roma  - Competition: UEFA Champions League

Barcelona team come into this clash in high spirits after they dismantled bitter rivals Real Madrid 4-0 at Bernabeu last Saturday to go six points clear at the top of the La Liga table. It was a fourth straight victory in all competitions for the Catalans, who have scored 12 goals without conceding during that run. The Blaugrana can seal progress to the round of 16 with a draw as they are five points clear at the top of Group E.
Enrique will surely be tempted to stick with the side that won so convincingly on the weekend and Lionel Messi could be benced once again. Javier Mascherano will also miss out after suffering a thigh injury and Rafinha is also definitely out.Roma's Serie A title hopes suffered a setback as they recorded a 2-2 draw at Bologna at the weekend. The Giallorossi desperately need a positive outcome at the Camp Nou as they sit third in the standings with just a single point separating the Serie A side from Leverkusen in Group E. Garcia's men have conceded six goals to Leverkusen in two games, and 3 goals to BATE Borisov away from home. How can they stop Barcelona?
De Rossi is a doubt with a thigh problem and could be replaced by Seydou Keita. Florenzi and Iturbe could start in attack, where Edin Dzeko will play as central striker, as the likes Francesco Totti, Gervinho and Mohamed Salah are all sidelined.
AS Roma held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw on matchday one, a match that saw Alessandro Florenzi scoring stunning equaliser. Barcelona have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 9 matches in the Champions League.

El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona La Liga - November 21, 2015

0 التعليقات
Real Madrid vs Barcelona
Competition: Spanish Primera Division
Date: 21 November 2015 - Time: 17:15 GMT
Venue: Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid

Real Madrid team went into the international break on the back of a shock 3-2 defeat at the hands of Sevilla and they now trail Barça by three points. But Los Galacticos will go top of the table on goal difference should they beat Barcelona. They have been strong at home this season, picking up 13 points from a possible 15, and they have not lost at home since September 2014. Real Madrid also have the second-best defensive record in the league and have scored the most goals, too.
Benzema has recovered from a hamstring injury, but is lacking in match fitness. Hence, Gareth Bale is likely to start in the hole while Isco could be preferred to James Rodriguez. Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is expected to be back after missing the last couple of fixtures with a groin problem. As for the backline Raphael Varane is expected to partner Sergio Ramos at the heart of the defence.
Barcelona are in brilliant form having recorded boasting a seven-game unbeaten run and four straight La Liga wins, which have led them to the top of he table all without Messi. In fact, Neymar and Luis Suarez have netted each of Barça's last 17 league goals. Anyway, they have lost two of their last three away games in la Liga .
Lionel Messi has been out since late September but is set to make his comeback at the Bernabeu but Ivan Rakitic, who has injured his calf, is a doubt so Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets are expected to support the attack from midfield. Javier Mascherano returns from suspension and may be deployed in midfield. Douglas and Rafinha are still out.
The Blaugrana will be desperate to avoid a repeat of last year's match scoreline at the Bernabeu, when the Catalan were outclassed 3-1 by Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid. The last time these two clubs met was in March of this year in a battle won by Luis Enrique's side, 2-1. Each of the last 9 Clasicos in La Liga BBVA have seen both sides score.

Probable lineups:
Real Madrid: Navas – Danilo, Pepe, Varane (Ramos), Marcelo – T. Kroos, Modric – Bale, J. Rodriguez, C. Ronaldo – Benzema.
Barcelona: Bravo – Dani Alves, Mascherano, Pique, Jordi Alba – Busquets, S. Roberto, Iniesta – Munir, Suarez, Neymar.

Real Madrid last 5 matches:
21/10/15 PSG 0 – 0 Real Madrid
24/10/15 Celta de Vigo 1 – 3 Real Madrid
31/10/15 Real Madrid 3 – 1 Las Palmas
03/11/15 Real Madrid 1 – 0 PSG
08/11/15 Sevilla 3 – 2 Real Madrid

Barcelona last 5 matches:
25/10/15 Barcelona 3 – 1 Eibar
28/10/15 Villanovense 0 – 0 Barcelona
31/10/15 Getafe 0 – 2 Barcelona
04/11/15 Barcelona 3 – 0 BATE

Norway vs Hungary Euro Qualifiers - 12-11-2015

0 التعليقات

Norway vs Hungary - Competition: UEFA Euro Qualifying

Norway team only missed out on an automatic place by one point to Croatia. Barring a 2-1 defeat in Italy, which saw them miss out on the chance to qualify for France 2016 automatically, Norway showed to be in fine form, beating the likes of Bulgaria and Croatia. Prior to their game in Italy last time out, they kept five consecutive clean sheets.
Norway head coach Per-Mathias Högmo opted to leave forward Joshua King out of the squad, while Adama Diomande is still unavailable through injury. Haitam Aleesami is likely to fill in at left-back with Tom Høgli absent.
Hungary team failed to qualify automatically from a group which was won by Northern Ireland. They were never really in contentionfor the two automatic places, they ended their campaign with a 4-3 defeat away to a Greece side who had not previously won a qualifying match.
Coach Storck left players Adam Szalai and Zoltan Stieber out of the squad  last time out but has recalled the duo for the play-off matches. Roland Juhasz is banned, meaning Richard Guzmics could partner Tamas Kadar at the heart of their defence. Daniel Tozser has been surprisingly dropped from the squad, while midfielder Laszio Kleinheisler has earned a first call-up.
Norway have won their last 3 matches against Hungary in all competitions scoring at least 2 goals in that run and without conceding.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Premier League - November 8, 2015

Arsenal vs Tottenham - Competition: English Premier League

Arsenal team will be looking to bounce back quickly following their midweek's Champions League 5-1 defeat to Bundesliga giants Bayern. Domestically, Arsene the Gunners are in fine form. Since defeat at Stamford Bridge back in September, they have won five games on the bounce and Wnger's men now sit in 2nd place behind leaders Man City on goal difference alone. Condifence will be high as Arsenal have already defeated Tottenham in the Capital One Cup this season.
Hector Bellerin has been ruled out with a small groin problem and Debuchy is expected to deputise at right-back. Gabriel will again be expected to battle it out with Per Mertesacker for the centre-back spot alongside Laurent Koscielny. Joel Campbell looks set to retain his place as offensive midfielder as Theo Walcott, Welbeck, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere remain on the sidelines through injury.
Tottenham are unbeaten in the Premier League since the EPL opening day and have started to score for fun in recent weeks with a 1-5 win at Bournemouth followed by a 3-1 triumph over Aston Villa. Furthermore, they recorded another win last Thursday in Europa League - 2-1 against Anderlecht. The Lilywhites have been playing with real intensity and pressure in recent weeks and it's a tactic that has been paying dividends.
The in-form Dele Alli should start alongside Eric Dier in the double-pivot midfield. Danny Rose and Clinton N'Jie should be both available. Summer arrival Heung-min Son is likely to sit on the bench following his return on Thursday night. Nabil Bentaleb he could be unavailable until after the international break while Alex Pritchard and Nacer Chadli both remain sidelined.
Harry Kane has been in scintillating form recently, scoring five goals in his last three games. Last year's English Premier League top scorer netted two goals to give Spurs a 2-1 victory against Arsenal in their last Premier League meeting.

Match date: Tuesday 03rd November 2015
Kick Off Time: 19:45 BST - 8:45pm
Venue: Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, Sevilla

Sevilla team know that they really cannot afford another defeat as they have only three points after 3 rounds. The beat 3-0 Gladbach in the opening game, lose in Turin 2-0 against Juve and suffered an injury time defeat to Man City at the Etihad. That win saw City move ahead of Sevilla in the group standings. Unai Emery will be without Gameiro as he picked up a hamstring injury in the defeat to Villarreal on Saturday. Fernando Llorente could well start in place of the Frenchman - while there are doubts about goalkeeper Beto and midfielder Ever Banega.
Manchester City have won two of their first three games, including a dramatic late victory over Sevilla in the reverse fixture. In addition to this last gasp winner aat Etihad, the Citizens also needed a very late goal to win 2-1 at Gladbach whilst in their opening group match at home to Juventus they suffered a 2-1 setback.
Sergio Aguero and David Silva are both still out for City meaning Wilfried Bony is set to continue up front. Zabaleta is injured while Fabian Delph and Gael Clichy are back in full training, but this fixture may come too soon for the pair. Raheem Sterling should return to the starting XI have been dropped to the bench last time out.
Man City have failed to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 18 UCL matches. Furthermore, they have lost on their last three trips to Spain in the Champions League, all by a single goal margin.

Anyway, they go into this match with no points from their first two UCL games, having lost to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos. Defeat to Bayern this week is simply not an option because they will be virtually knocked out of the competition.
Arsene Wenger will be without forward Welbeck, midfielders Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky. Defender Gabriel is available again as is Olivier Giroud who missed their last Champions League outing through suspension. The Frenchman isn't expected to usurp Theo Walcott up front.
Bayern have won all 12 of their competitive games so far. A 1-0 victory at Werder Bremen saw the Bavarians become the first team in history to win their first 9 fixtures in the Bundesliga. They are already seven points clear of second placed Dortmund whom they crushed 5-1 in a home fixture a week ago. In the UCL Guardiola's men brushed Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb aside, 3-0 and 5-0, respectively. They have only conceded 5 goals this season!
The likes of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery remain absent and Sebastian Rode, Götze, Holger Badstuber and Benatia are also sidelined. Douglas Costa is set to have a fitness test prior to the match and could be replaced by Kingsley Coman if he fails to make the grade.
Bayern Munich have not been the best of travellers in Europe over the years, winning just three of their last nine away games. The Bavarians have won on the occasion of each of their last two visits to the Emirates Stadium, which were both round of 16 first-leg assignments, and the Bavarians have won four and drawn two of eight previous encounters with the London club.

Probable lineups:
Arsenal: P. Cech – Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal – Santi Cazorla, Arteta – Ramsey, Ozil, A. Sanchez – Walcott.
Bayern Munchen: Neuer – Rafinha, J. Boateng, J. Martinez, Alaba – Xabi Alonso – Lahm, Alcantara, T. Muller, D. Costa – Lewandowski.

Italy vs Norway Euro 2016 qualifiers - October 13, 2015

0 التعليقات
Italy vs Norway - Competition: UEFA Euro Qualifying

Italy team secured their passage to the competition in France next year with a 3-1 victory over Azerbaijan last Friday, a rare convincing display for Antonio Conte's side. Draw or victory against the Norwegians would solidify the Azzurri's position at the summit of the table, though a loss would see Tuesday's opponents leapfrog Conte's side into top spot.
Andrea Pirlo missed the 3-1 win over Azerbaijan through a muscle problem, and he remains a major doubt. Verratti and Parolo also have injury concerns and will be rested. Antonio Conte is without the services of suspended midfielder De Rossi and could hand a start to Milan's Montolivo and Toronto’s Sebastian Giovinco who was impressive when coming on as a substitute last time out.
Norway, who have won three of their four qualifiers away from home, go into their final qualifying game on the back of Saturday's 2-0 home triumph over Malta. They currently sit second in Group H, but they are two points adrif Italy and two points ahead of a Croatia side who face the somewhat easier task of a trip to Malta. Furthermore, Croatia beat Norway 5-1 in March and have a superior head-to-head record against the Norwegians.
Head coach Per-Mathias Hogmo is unlikely to completely overhaul his strongest XI in what can be considered a must-win game. Hull City forward Adama Diomande misses through injury while midfielder Per-Ciljan Skjelbred suffered an ankle injury on Saturday and he is now rated doubtful.
Italy and Norway last met during Antonio Conte's debut as Italy head coach, when goals from Zaza and Bonucci secured all three points for the Azzurri. Italy have not lost in 38 qualifiers on home soil - a run stretching back to September 1999.

Probable lineups:
Italy:  Buffon – Darmian Bonucci, Chiellini, De Sciglio – Montolivo, Verratti, Parolo – Candreva, Pelle, Eder.
Norway: Nyland – Elabdellaoui, Hovland, Forren, Linnes – Skjelbred, Tettey, Johansen – Henriksen –Soderlund, Berget.

Italy last 5 matches:
12/06/15 Croatia 1 – 1 Italy
16/06/15 Italy 0 – 1 Portugal
03/09/15 Italy 1 – 0 Malta

Scotland vs Poland UEFA Euro Qualifying - 08-10-2015

0 التعليقات

Scotland vs Poland - Competition: Euro Qualifying

Scotland team are fourth in the group on 11 points, four behind Ireland and six behind Poland with two games remaining. A win for them in either of their final two fixtures would end Scotland's hopes, but with games against Germany and Poland to come, Scotland will still be hopeful that the Republic could slip up. The Scots had won all three of their home games in this qualifying pool before making Germany pull out all of the stops in a 2-3 defeat last time out.
Strachan has selection issues in midfield with Morrison suspended, his West Brom colleague Darren Fletcher nursing a knock, Charlie Mulgrew having already pulled out due to injury and Ikechi Anya also doubtful. Aberdeen full-back Graeme Shinnie earns his first call-up, while uncapped Kevin McDonald was forced to withdraw.

Poland currently occupy an automatic qualification spot in Euro 2016 Group D. A victory in Glasgow would rule the Scots out of contention and will keep the pressure on Ireland, who are aiming to bridge the two-point gap for second place. The Polish team were defeated by Germany back in September, but they responded straight away to put eight goals past Gibraltar.
The visitors will expect to be near enough full strength for the journey to Scotland. Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski is almost certain to keep his place in the starting line-up while Jakub Blaszczykowski rediscovered his form at Fiorentina team and wil start in midfield. Milik and Lewandowski will lead the line.
The last time the two sides met it was an entertaining 2-2 draw. The Tartan Army had found themselves 2-1 up at one point in the game, but succumbed to a late Arkadiusz Milik goal to draw 2-2 in Poland. Lewandowski has scored sixteen goals in his last eight games for both club and country. A remarkable run of form that has seen him fail to score in just one of his last eight appearances.

Probable lineups:
Scotland: Marshall – Hutton, R. Martin, Hanley, Robertson – S. Brown, McArthur, Maloney, Anya – S. Fletcher, S. Naismith.
Poland: Fabianski – Olkowski, Szukala, Glik, Rybus – Krychowiak, Jodlowiec – Grosicki, Maczynski – Lewandowski, Milik.

Arsenal vs Manchester United
Competition: English Premier League
Match date: 4 October 2015
Kick Off Time: 16:00 BST
Venue: Emirates Stadium, London

Arsenal's impressive 5-2 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium was followed up by a disappoint 3-2 home loss to Olympiacos in the Champions League. Arsene Wenger was heavily criticised for resting Petr Cech in favour of David Ospina, who made a fatal error that leaves Arsenal facing a mountain to reach the knockout stage.
Wenger expects Francis Coquelin to be fit but Koscielny, Arteta and Flamini will miss through injury. The Frenchman  must also decide on whether to retain Theo Walcott up front. Gabriel is expected to earn a recall alongside Mertesacker.
Manchester United enter this big match on the back of four consecutive wins in all competitions. Man United beat 2-1 Wolfsburg during midweek in Champions League and last Saturday's 3-0 victory against Sunderland moved them top of the Premier League for the first time in over two years. Wayne Rooney ended his drought in the league last weekend, while Anthony Martial continues to impress.
Michael Carrick has recovered from the minor injury and Van Gaal must choose between him and Bastian Schweinsteiger to partner Morgan Schneiderlin in midfield. The Dutchman could push Daley Blind out to the left with Phil Jones coming in to partner Chris Smalling at the heart of the defence with  Matteo Darmian returning to right-back.
Arsenal have won just one of their last 13 EPL fixtures against Man United (D4 L8). Last season, these two sides settled for a draw at Old Trafford while United won 2-1 away at Emirates. Anyway there was success for the Gunners when they secured a 2-1 win in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Arsenal last 5 matches:
16/09/15 Dinamo Zagreb 2 – 1 Arsenal
19/09/15 Chelsea 2 – 0 Arsenal

Manchester City vs Juventus Champions League - 15-09-2015

0 التعليقات

Manchester City v Juventus - Competition: Champions League
Match date: Tuesday, 15 September 2015, 7:45 PM.
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom

Man City head into Tuesday's game buoyed by their imperious early-season form. They have recorded five straight English Premier League wins, a sequence made even more impressive by the fact that they are yet to concede a goal. The Citizens enter this match on the back of a tough 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday, courtesy of a goal scored by the Nigerian youngster Iheanacho.
Sergio Aguero was forced off during City's last-gasp victory at Crystal Palace and has been ruled out. Anyway, Pellegrini will have both Raheem Sterling and David Silva available. Wilfried Bony is expected to deputise for the injured Aguero given that Iheanacho is ineligible. Pablo Zabaleta and Fabian Delph, meanwhile, will definitely be unavailable for the hosts.
Juventus are struggling in the Italian Serie A having earned just a single point from the first three fixtures. The Bianconeri lost They their opening two matches against Udinese and Roma and only a Paulo Dybala's late penalty eventually salvaged them a point at home against Chievo last Saturday.
Midfielder Claudio Marchisio has been ruled out of action for a month. Sami Khedira remains sidelined, so Juventus' midfield is in emergency. New signing Hernanes could start as playmaker in a 3-5-2 system with Dybala and Manzukic paired up front. After an impressive performance against Chievo, Juan Cuadrado should be in the starting XI.
The Citizens team have a poor record in UCL and they have only won two of their last 10 games in this competition (D2 L6) and just three of their 11 home Champions League games to date. City are taking part in their 5th Champions League campaign but they have never made it past the last 16.

Probable lineups:
Manchester City: Hart – Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Kolarov – Fernandinho, Yaya Toure – de Bruyne, Silva, Sterling – Bony.
Juventus: Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini – Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Sturaro, Hernanes, Evra – Morata, Mandzukic.
