Napoli vs Juventus - Competition: Italian Serie A
SSC Napoli beat Lazio 5-0 last weekend, the second "manita" after the 5-0
win over Club Brugge in Europa League, but then the Azzurri were held
0-0 at newly-promoted Carpi in midweek. The Partenopei have drawn three
of their last four matches and currently sit 12th in the league, 9
points from the summit.
Maurizio Sarri has a clean bill of health ahead of this match. Mertens and Insigne are likely to start with Gonzalo Higuain in attack. Jorginho is likely to replace Valdifiori in the middle of the park along with Allan and Hamsik.

Juventus
team enter this match on the back of a Wednesday’s 1-1 disappointing home
draw against rock-bottom Frosinone, a result that followed a surprising
win against Man City in the Champions League and the first Serie A
win over Genoa last weekend. They are 13th in the standings having
clinched five points from their opening five games Juve, 10 points
adrift of Inter Milan.
Buffon is expected to returning
to action but Martin Caceres, Marchisio, Sami Khedira and Mario
Mandzukic are all out injured. Patrice Evra and Alex Sandro are in
contention to patrol the left flank. Coach Max Allegri could revert to
the 3-5-2 with Juan Cuadrado in midfield and the likes of Paulo Dybala
and Alvaro Morata up-front.
Napoli team have scored 12 goals in their three home matches so far this season. Juventus have only mustered five goals from 106 shots on goal this season. Juve and Napoli met three times last season, the former completing a league double but losing in the Super Cup on penalties. The Partenopei have won only one of their last nine Italian Serie A games against the Old Lady but the last 8 meetings at the San Paolo have seen the Juve winning only once, with five wins for Napoli.
