After overcoming Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal have the
chance to end an an amazing hat-trick when they travel to Old Trafford
to face Man United on Sunday.
Manchester United
team has recently improved, especially when compared to the start of the
season when their performance was, to put it mildly, poor. Nevertheless,
it still not the club, not the football form we observed last season.
Manchester United occupy the eight position losing to leading Arsenal
eight points. Manager Moyes’ players did not lose the last five matches,
among which the last game ended in a goalless draw against Real
Sociedad. Yet, their performance in Premiership is not stable but still
better than it was a few weeks ago. Manchester United won the last two
matches in the League but the upcoming clash may be a hard time for
them. Losing this game to Arsenal means being eleven points behind the
leader.
Arsenal’s
performance in the Premiership commands respect. After ten games they
may boast about winning eight; they lost only once, and one of their
game ended in a draw. They have also an enviable goal scoring balance,
+13. The Gunners are currently five points above the second Chelsea.
Increasing the distance between the Blues will be demanding against
Manchester United, even if Moyes’ players are going through a crisis.
They still have great football individualities among their ranks.
However, what should be emphasized is the fact that Arsene Wenger’s
players’ morale is high following the last gameweek’s 2-0 win against
Liverpool and Wednesday’s win 1-0 against Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
Even though a few players are still not fit for the game due to the
injuries, their absence is not so visible.
