French giant, Paris Saint-Germain ensuring
their qualification into the knock out stages of UEFA Champions League
along with status as group winner after bagging a home win over
Olympiacos on Wednesday. The home side immediately set on into an
aggressive mode as they got in front pretty early with Zlatan
Ibrahimovic scoring after just seven minutes of play.
Knowing that
a defeat could jeopardize their qualification chance, Olympiacos worked
hard to get back on level terms and their relentless effort was
fruitful when 10 minutes from time Kostas Manolas snatched that
equalizing effort. However, just before the final whistle was blown, PSG
regained their lead, thanks to Edinson Cavani's late effort which
sealed all three points for Laurent Blanc's men.
