Tottenham Hotspur kept their positive run
going after snatching a comfortable home victory over Russian side,
Anzhi on the final group game of their Europa League campaign on
Thursday. Already confirming their passage into the next stage didn't
stop Spurs from putting on an aggressive effort on that match as they
already opened the scoring after seven minutes of play through Roberto
Soldado.
The Spanish international was finding his scoring boots
on that game as he bagged another one on 16 minutes. Anzhi did managed
to reduce the damage just before half time break when Ewerton scored on
44 minutes, but not long after the re-start, Spurs regained their two
goals margin through Lewis Holtby. Soldado eventually completed his
hat-trick with a third goal from the spot kick on 70 minutes.
