White Hart Lane Location, London, United Kingdom
Meanwhile, Liverpool themselves also targeting maximum result as they
could close gap with the top teams should they bagged all three points
from Spurs. Just like their weekend opponent, The Reds haven't always
picked up positive result when battling against fellow top teams this
season, that's why Rodgers will be hoping his players will pull off
their best performance this time around.
The Reds eventually came
away with all three points from that weekend encounter as they
successfully trashed Spurs 5-0 at White Hart Lane, with Luis Suarez
showcasing his qualities once again. Starting the match in a bright
fashion, Liverpool got themselves in front on 18 minutes through Luis
Suarez and five minutes before halt time break they double their lead
with an effort from Jordan Henderson.
After the break, Spurs tried
to get back on level terms, but things got even harder when they have
to play with only 10-men as Paulinho got sent off. Liverpool took
advantage of that situation and added three more goals in that second
period from John Flannagan on 75 minutes, Suarez again on 84 minutes and
Raheem Sterling just before the final whistle was blown.
