Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur - Competition: Premier League
Match date: Wednesday, 1 January 2014 - 17:30 GMT
Stadium:
Old Trafford, Manchester, United Kingdom

Manchester United have won their last four Premier League games in a row (six consecutive victories in all competitions) but David Moyes’ men were a little lucky to come away with a win at Norwich as Danny Welbeck netted his fourth goal in five matches.Fellaini, Nani, Phil Jones and Rafael all remain sidelined while Rooney is set to return after missing Saturday’s trip to Hull City with a groin strain. Valencia is also available after serving his one-match suspension. Carrick is set to continue in midfield alongside Tom Cleverley, Tim Sherwood has collected seven points from a possible nine since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas.    Tottenham Hotspur are level on points with United as they have bounced back from the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas with seven points from their last three games.
New boss Tim Sherwood has gone with a more attacking line-up since replacing Villas-Boas and he has been rewarded with victories over Southampton and Stoke as well as a draw against West Brom.
Tottenham's victory at Old Trafford last season was their first in 21 Premier League attempts and in the earlier fixture this season between the two sides at White Hart Lane honours were even after a 2-2 draw.

Southampton vs Chelsea FC - 2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 20

St Marys Stadium, Southampton, United Kingdom will be hosting on 01.January.2014, an English Premier League (Round 20) match between Southampton and Chelsea FC. The match referee will be Martin Atkinson.
Southampton didn't stay among the top 4 for long, as it returned back to their respective point in the mid-table places. Jay Rodriguez, who has been in scintillating form of late, and an excellent defence have led the Saints to a comfortable 9th place. The Saints have been inconsistent in their matches against the top 8 teams-defeating Liverpool and drawing against Man U, Man City, and Newcastle while losing to Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Everton. But the majority of those games were on the road and having the home advantage here may be a massive difference maker to the result. Goals have been the norm in recent matchups between the 2 sides with 17 total in their last 4 games. This result shows that Chelsea has some advantage, but the game is not going to be easy for them.
Southampton (4-2-3-1): Gazzaniga – Chambers, Yoshida, Jose Fonte, Shaw – Cork, Schneiderlin – Rodriguez, St. Davis, Lallana – Lambert.

Chelsea came back again with a win over Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday. So Chelsea now has an excelent record of 70 unbeaten games at home. Eden Hazard played well as usual, but Willian looked a man possessed as he could do no wrong, displaying why he carried such a heavy price tag in the transfer market. That should earn the Brazilian another start and Southampton will be wise to focus on the attacking wings as Chelsea's strikers offer little in the way of goals (though Eto'o did net the winner against Liverpool). Chelsea's players seemed to not have much confidence when playing away, but, only making wins over the lowly likes of: Sunderland, West Ham, and Norwich.
Chelsea (4-2-3-1): P. Cech – Azpilicueta, Terry, David Luiz, A. Cole – Ramires, Lampard – Hazard, Oscar, Mata – F. Torres.

Head-to-Head:
Last Meeting: 01.12.2013, Chelsea - Southampton 3:1

Chelsea vs Liverpool - 2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 19
Match date: Sunday, 29 December 2013
Kick Off Time: 16:00 GMT - 17:00 CET - 9:30 PM IST
Venue: Stamford Bridge, London, United Kingdom

On Sunday, 29th December at 16:00 GMT, Chelsea FC will host Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge for Round 19 of the 2013/2014 English Premier League.
Liverpool played Manchester City better than anyone else has at the Etihad Stadium this season, narrowly losing 2-1 to a Negredo goal (and perhaps poor officiating). The top of the table is so tight that it saw the then-first place Reds slip down to 4th, a position they're happy to be in but know can be bettered after proving their title credentials over the first half of the season. Liverpool is the second-highest scoring side in the Premier League thus far, led by goal-wizard Luis Suarez and playmaker Philippe Coutinho. However, neither team will want to lose this game and may opt for more careful tactics throughout as a draw looks very possible here. Enrique, Coates, Sturridge, Gerrard, and Flanagan will all be out.
This is another treat for viewers as the match pits two title contenders who are presently separated by just a point. Jose Mourinho will put his 69-match unbeaten streak at Stamford Bridge on the line in a big way Sunday. One wonders if this will play into the mind of the Portuguese coach, and he very well may opt for a similar sit-and-defend strategy deployed against Arsenal last week as the game wares on. However, at home the Blues typically display a powerful attacking game, so perhaps we're in for a goal fest with the high-scoring Reds on tap. Torres is expected to return up top as he faces his former club, but the key man will be Eden Hazard on the wings who can cause any defence serious problems. Marco and Bertrand remain out, while Ramires is suspended with 5 yellow cards.

Possible line-ups:
Probable lineups Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Lampard, Essien; Schurrle, Oscar, Willian; Torres.
Probable lineups Liverpool (4-1-2-3): Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Cissokho; Lucas; Allen, Henderson; Sterling, Suárez, Coutinho.

Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool Highlights Video
Liverpool 0-1: Martin Škrtel goal vs Chelsea (3').
Chelsea 1-1: Eden Hazard goal vs Liverpool (17').
Chelsea 2-1: Samuel Eto'o goal vs Liverpool (34').

Hull City vs Manchester United 2-3 Highlights 2013 Premier League

0 التعليقات
Competition: Premier League
Match date: 26 December 2013
Venue: The Kingston Communications Stadium

Mancester United continuing their recent positive run going this midweek as they presented a special gift for their fans by snatching a dramatic three points over Hull City. The away side actually didn't have a bright start on that encounter as they found themselves trailing after just four minutes of play with James Chester netting home for Hull. That early goal gave strong confidence for the home side as they kept on pushing forward and eventually doubling their lead on 13 minutes through David Meyler.
Trailing by two goals didn't make Man United giving up their hop in that encounter as the bounced back rapidly, starting with Chris Smalling's goal on 19 minutes. Shortly afterwards, United got themselves back on level terms with an equalizing goal scored by Wayne Rooney on 26 minutes. That equalizer seemed to shock Hull City as they end up losing that game when David Moyes' men snatched that all important winning goal on 66 minutes from an own goal by Chester, who turned from hero into zero in that Boxing-Day battle.

4′ James Chester 1-0 // 13′ David Meyler 2-0 // 19′ 2-1 Chris Smalling // 26′ 2-2 Wayne Rooney

Manchester City vs Liverpool FC
2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 18

On Thursday, 26th December at 18:30 (CET), Manchester City will host Liverpool FC at Etihad Stadium for Round 18 of the 2013/2014 English Premier League.
Man City will welcome the league-leaders Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium Thursday where the home side has won every game so far this term at a combined total goal comparison of 35 for and just 5 conceded. However, the Citizens have been prone to the defensive error or two, so the defence must stay alert to Luis Suarez's tireless work rate. Despite Aguero being out with a calf injury, Dzeko is still expected to drop to the bench in favor of Negredo. Manuel Pelligrini must find a suitable replacement for right-backs Micah Richards and Zabaleta (doubtful), as Clichy left much to be desired away from his natural left-sided position last weekend against Fulham. Jovetic and Nastasic remain long-term absentees.
  • Probable lineups Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Hart; Clichy, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Touré; Navas, Silva, Nasri; Negredo.

Liverpool team have defied their expectations this season, entering Boxing Day atop the Premier League table. While critics wondered if the Reds could deal with the injuries to Sturridge and Gerrard, Liverpool went about their business, most recently whacking Tottenham 5-0 and Cardiff City 3-1. Luis Suarez has been a man possessed, tallying 19 goals from just 12 appearances this season. Expect this goal-scoring trend to continue for the controversial Uruguayan. But will it be enough to get a result against the top scoring team in England? The defence must be compact and focused throughout, as at times on the road this season they've perhaps gone a bit missing-conceding 2 to Swansea, 2 to Newcastle, 2 to Arsenal, 3 to Everton, and 3 to Hull. Enrique and Coates will join Sturridge and Gerrard on the sidelines.
  • Probable lineups Liverpool (4-3-3): Mignolet – Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Kelly – Lucas, Allen – Sterling, Henderson, Coutinho – Suarez.

Arsenal vs Chelsea Premier League 23 December 2013

0 التعليقات

The last game and the highlight of the 17 round of the English Premier League is the derby of London – the clash between Arsenal and Chelsea. The Gunners have been lately out of breath and they have already lost the leadership in the PR table but if they win, they will regain the throne. The Blues in case of a victory may have a chance to be a vice-leader and take local rival down a peg at the same time.

Arsenal’s performance in the last games definitely dropped. Arsene Wenger’s team did not win last three games, two of which in the Premier League. Especially the last defeat in the league, against Manchester City 3:6, was particularly severe and quite humiliating for such an ambitious and so far well playing team, such as Arsenal. Yet, you can say, that the last lost game in Manchester was, so to speak, a climax of Arsenal’s bad performance. In the club everybody hopes that the bad luck has run out. Before the 17th round the Gunners had occupied the leading place in the league table but while waiting for their Monday match, they were jumped over by Liverpool and Manchester City. The stake is high for Arsenal in the upcoming game – if they lose, they will land on the 4th place in the table; in case of a draw, they will be 2nd with the same amount of points as leading Liverpool, but with a worse goal balance. An additional problem may be the absence of Jack Wilshere, who has been suspended for two games due to his impolite behaviour towards fans after the last match. Despite the recent weaknesses and problems, it seems that the advantage of home play makes Arsenal a favourite of this upcoming game.
Chelsea play a little bit carelessly every now and then this season. In the last game, in the League Cup, against Sunderland they unexpectedly lost and dropped out of the Cup. Admittedly, they won in the last Premier League round – 2:1 against Crystal Palace – but their performance was not very convincing. Even though, Chelsea is still in play in the league. Before the upcoming game the Blues occupy the 4th place – but in case of a victory they will land on the second place in the table having the same amount of points as the leading Liverpool. Chelsea must also remember that Everton are on their heels and only wait for them to slip up. If the Blues lose, they will fall to the 5th place. The advantage for Chelsea might be their manager, Jose Mourinho, who not once has shown that in case of a critical situation can keep a cool head and, using substitutes for instance, turn the fate of a game to his favour.

Atalanta vs Juventus 1-4 Highlights 22-12-2013 Italian Serie A

Atalanta 1-4 Juventus
Juventus 0-1: Carlos Tévez goal vs Atalanta (6').
Atalanta 1-1: Maximiliano Moralez goal vs Juventus (15').
Juventus 1-2: Paul Pogba goal vs Atalanta (46').
Juventus 1-3: Fernando Llorente goal vs Atalanta (75').
Juventus 1-4: Arturo Vidal goal vs Atalanta (79').

Juventus ending their year in a positive way as they grabbed an impressive away victory over Atalanta this Sunday, keeping the Turin giant's spot at the top of current standings. Antonio Conte's men were looking hungry since kick off as they took a quick lead when Carlos Tevez got his name in the score sheet after just six minutes of play. That early strike didn't scare off Atalanta easily though as they managed to get back on level terms on 15 minutes with an effort from Maxi Moralez.
Drawing 1-1 in the first 45 minutes, Juventus reacted positively after the break as they immediately regained their lead thanks to Paul Pogba's goal on 46 minutes. Atalanta tried to get back on the math once again, but their effort was washed away when on 75 minutes, Juve extended their lead through Fernando Llorente. From that moment on, things were simply heading into the visitor's favor as they eventually netted a fourth goal four minutes later from Arturo Vidal's finish.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan Serie A - December 22, 2013

0 التعليقات

This weekend sees the fierce Milan derby between Inter Milan and AC Milan contested with the ‘Italian giants’ sitting 5th and 10th respectively.
Inter Milan (7-7-2) lost for the first time in nine games at Napoli last week, although there were only three wins included in that spell. In fifth place, and just about in touch with the third Champions league spot, this is an important derby game still. Let us say that still out of action are injured defenders Chivu and Samuel, midfielder Milito and striker Mariga, while this match will miss suspended midfielder Alvarez.
  • Probable lineups Inter Milan: Handanovic – Campagnaro, Ranocchia, Juan – Jonathan, Taider, Cambiasso, Nagatomo – Guarin, Kovacic – Palacio.
AC Milan bring a five match unbeaten league run into the big game, and there are signs of improvement. In tenth place, nine points adrift of their city rivals it has been a very poor season to date domestically. Inter hold sway in the fixture over the last couple of seasons with three wins and a draw. Alvarez(mid) is suspended for Inter following last weeks sending off, with Samuel(def) and Milito(str) still out injured. AC have Montolivo(mid) suspended, and Abate, Silvestre(def), Birsa, Emanuelson(mid), Robinho and El Shaarawy(str) injured.

Bayern Munich vs Raja Casablanca Club World Cup December 21, 2013

0 التعليقات

Competition: Club World Cup Morocco 2013, Final
Venue: Stade de Marrakech, Marrakech (Morocco)

As the only competitor who are not their continent’s reigning champions, few expected Faouzi Benzarti’s men to be the ones standing between the favourites and glory on Saturday. Raja opened the competition with a 2-1 win against Auckland City before upsetting African champions Al Ahly 2-1 after extra time. Then, they were favoured to be beaten by Atletico Mineiro - the Copa Libertadores champions featuring Ronaldinho - but Casablanca scored two late goals to clinch a 3-1 victory and earn a place in the final. Their run comes after a remarkable few weeks for the Moroccans, who saw coach Mohamed Fakhir depart days before the tournament started after a run of defeats.
Bayern are without the influential winger Arjen Robben and midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. n their absence, Franck Ribery, Mario Goetze and Thiago Alcantara guided the attack of an offense that looked similar to coach Pep Guardiola's time at Barcelona, although with more direct passes and scoring chances. Raja Casablanca doesn’t seem to have notable absentees.

Stadium of Light, Sunderland - League Cup quarterfinal - 17 December, 2013

Sunderland 2-1 Chelsea (Capital One Cup)
46' 0-1 (o.g.) Lee Cattermole // 89' Fabio Borini 1-1 // 119' Sung-Yueng Ki 2-1

A disappointing midweek arrived for Chelsea fans as their team crashed out from Capital One Cup quarter finals after suffering a shock away defeat against relegation battler, Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday. The Blues were looking sharp early on that encounter as they put on a strong display since the first 45 minutes, though there were no goals scored during that period. However, straight from the re-start, Jose Mourinho's men finally broke the dead lock thanks to an own goal from Lee Cattermole on 46 minutes.
Sunderland didn't give up easily though as they push forward in search for an equalizing goal, which they did earned with two minutes left from the final 90 minutes through Fabio Borini's effort. With both teams drawing 1-1 during normal time, that midweek battle went into extra time and it was the home side that came away with a victory as they snatched another late goal, this time from Ki Sung-Yeung on 188 minutes to eliminate Chelsea from that competition.

White Hart Lane Location, London, United Kingdom

Meanwhile, Liverpool themselves also targeting maximum result as they could close gap with the top teams should they bagged all three points from Spurs. Just like their weekend opponent, The Reds haven't always picked up positive result when battling against fellow top teams this season, that's why Rodgers will be hoping his players will pull off their best performance this time around.
The Reds eventually came away with all three points from that weekend encounter as they successfully trashed Spurs 5-0 at White Hart Lane, with Luis Suarez showcasing his qualities once again. Starting the match in a bright fashion, Liverpool got themselves in front on 18 minutes through Luis Suarez and five minutes before halt time break they double their lead with an effort from Jordan Henderson.
After the break, Spurs tried to get back on level terms, but things got even harder when they have to play with only 10-men as Paulinho got sent off. Liverpool took advantage of that situation and added three more goals in that second period from John Flannagan on 75 minutes, Suarez again on 84 minutes and Raheem Sterling just before the final whistle was blown.

Tottenham Hotspur 0-5 Liverpool

Napoli vs Inter Milan Serie A December 15, 2013

0 التعليقات
Stadio San Paolo, Naples (Italy) will be hosting on Sunday, 15 December 2013, an Italian Serie A match between SSC Napoli and Inter Milan. The match referee will be P. Tagliavento.‎
Napoli are third in the Serie A table, one place above Inter, but have a four point lead over them in the standings. Partenopei still believe that they can win Scudetto this season, while Nerazzurri are eyeing a top-three finish
Napoli became the first team in Champions League history to collect 12 points and still not make it through the group stage.  Their form hasn't been great in Serie A recently.  The 3-3 draw against Udinese saw them lose more points at the top and given the pace set by Juventus and Roma it looks likely that they can only hope to settle for third spot in Serie A this season.Zuniga, Mesto and Hamsik are still sidelined with injuries, while Pandev and Behrami are both doubtful and the duo will be assessed on the match day.  Dries Mertens is favourite over Lorenzo Insigne to play on the wing, while José Callejon should is expected to play.
Probable lineups Napoli: Reina – Maggio, Albiol, Britos, Armero – Inler, Behrami – Callejon, Insigne, Mertens – Higuain.
Inter Milan are unbeaten in their last eight Serie A fixtures, but have drawn their last three league games to fall 12 points behind leaders Juventus. Inter have only won once at the San Paolo in their last nine attempts, requiring penalties to secure victory in a Coppa Italia clash two years ago.
Inter Milan have no fresh injury worries. Nagatomo will likely replace
while Jonathan will start on the opposite side of midfield. Guarin is expected to shake off a knock suffered in training on Wednesday. Rodrigo Palacio is likely to keep his place up front as the only centre forward, mIlito is out while Icardi will sit on the bench.
Both teams have had problems at the back lately, each conceding three goals in their most recent Serie A game. Napoli have scored at least 2 goals in 11 of their last 13 home matches in Serie A.
Probable lineups Inter Milan: Handanovic – Campagnaro, Ranocchia, Juan – Jonathan, Taider, Cambiasso, Nagatomo – Guarin, Alvarez – Palacio.

Manchester City vs Arsenal London - Premier League, 16. round
Date:
Saturday, 14 December 2013 - 1:45 pm CET - 12:45 UK (BST)
Stadium: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom

Manchester City host the leading Arsenal in the upcoming game to be played during the 16th matchday of the English Premier League on Saturday, 14 December 2013. For Arsene Wenger’s men it will be a major test as far as their title aspirations are concerned, especially taken into account the City’s performance at the Etihad Stadium which has been a fortress so far this season.
Manchester City head into the match as the fourth side of the English Premier League table and the clash against Arsenal will be their chance to close the gap on the Gunners to only three points. Manchester City’s form seems to be a bit patchy this season but it does not refer to their home matches which they all won scoring 29 goals in these seven games (this accounts for more or less 4 goals per game). During the week they managed to take 2:3 victory over Bayern München when they travelled to Germany for the final match of the Champions League group stage. Manuel Pellegrini’s side dropped some points playing their last Premiership game when they only grasped one point against Southampton on the road. When it comes to the squad situation it seems to be satisfactory with no key players but Richards being unavailable.
Arsenal are now sitting atop of the English league table with five points ahead of second Liverpool and third Chelsea. The gap between them and their upcoming opponent, the Citizens is only six points. Loosing the game will not deprive the Gunners of their first position but the advantage over other sides will melt to almost none. Arsene Wenger’s has recently shaken their great solid winning form. During the last week of English Premier League their match against Everton resulted only in a 1:1 draw. More frustrating for the Gunners may be the Italian defeat last Wednesday against Napoli. The Londoners still qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League but the inability to score a goal against Napoli may worry their supporters. The top players, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere were rested during the Champions League clash and will definitely return to the Saturday’s first line-up.

Tottenham Hotspur kept their positive run going after snatching a comfortable home victory over Russian side, Anzhi on the final group game of their Europa League campaign on Thursday. Already confirming their passage into the next stage didn't stop Spurs from putting on an aggressive effort on that match as they already opened the scoring after seven minutes of play through Roberto Soldado.
The Spanish international was finding his scoring boots on that game as he bagged another one on 16 minutes. Anzhi did managed to reduce the damage just before half time break when Ewerton scored on 44 minutes, but not long after the re-start, Spurs regained their two goals margin through Lewis Holtby.        Galatasaray and Juventus will meet at Turk Telekom Arena Stadium on the match day six of UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Galatasaray managed to defeat Elazigspor easily at home on last Friday. Except their home victory againt Copenhagen, they failed to record any victory in Group B. In Italy, they were drawn to Juventus. They took the lead with Drogba; but Umut Bulut was the man who levelled the game on the final minutes. Wesley Sneijder is ready to made a long-return. It means that they are almost at full strength.
  • Probable lineups Galatasaray: Muslera – Eboue, Chedjou, Zan, Riera – Bruma, Felipe Melo, Inan, Colak – Burak Yilmaz, Drogba.
Juventus team managed to defeat Bologna on the road and they are three points clear off other teams in Serie A. Coach Antonio Conte will miss Simone Pepe and Andrea Pirlo because of several reasons. Sebastian Giovinco and Marko Vucinic are also doubtful. They will be in Istanbul to save their place in the group B. Until now, they failed to defeat Galatasaray in Istanbul.
  • Probable lineups Juventus: Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini – Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pogba, Marchisio, Asamoah – Tevez, Llorente.

Napoli vs Arsenal 11-12-2013 Champions League

0 التعليقات
Napoli vs Arsenal  - Uefa Champions League 2013/2014
Date: Wednesday, 11 December 2013 - 8:45 pm CET - 19:45 UK (BST)
Stadium: Stadio San Paolo, Napoli, Italy

Arsenal take on Napoli in the final Champions League group match at the Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday. Neither Arsenal nor Napoli may be sure their European progression. Still these are Arsene Wenger’s men who face an easier task while even a draw in the south of Italy will be enough to clinch the first place in Group F.
Napoli sit now third in Group F having equal number points as the second Borussia Dortmund. The team from Naples may still progress to the knockout stage of UEFA Champions League. If they do not want to rely on the score of the Marseille – Dortmund clash, they must win by a three-goal margin. Manager Rafa Benitez has a few players unavailable for the Wednesday match. The biggest miss for the Italians is their influential midfielder Marek Hamsik. The other injured players are Juan Camilo Zuniga and Giandomenico Mesto. In Italian Serie A they have scored 32 points which places them at a very good third position being four points above Internazionale and five behind second Roma. Their recent form cannot calm down their supporters; in the last five games, Napoli managed to take three points only away against poor Lazio and secure one point in the last Serie A game hosting Udinese.
  • Probable lineups SSC Napoli (4-2-3-1): Reina, Maggio, Fernandez, Albiol, Armero, Behrami, Inler, Callejon, Pandev, Insigne, Higuain.

Arsenal are now sitting three points clear at the top of the table of Group F. In order to reach the place among the last-16 sides of UEFA Champions League must avoid a 3 goal defeat from the home team. Such a defeat would mean that Arsene Wenger and his men have to wait for the final scoreline in Marseille. Draw will also enable the Gunners to enter for the 11th time in a row the knockout stage of the Champions League. In front of the Wenger’s men there is a hard time – upcoming game against in Italy, and then matched against Manchester City and Chelsea – their title rivals. Arsenal are the leader of the table with five points ahead of second Liverpool and third Chelsea. Arsenal’s supporters would be in even better moods, if only their team had taken the full advantage of City’s draw and Chelsea’s defeat in the last matchday of the English Premier League when they held only a draw against Everton. The injured are still Bacary Sagna and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The German international Lukas Podolski has returned to the full training but his presence in the squad is still a doubt. The manager Arsene Wenger may rotate the squad giving Ramsey and Wilshere some rest before City game.
  • Probable lineups Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Rosicky, Ozil, Walcott, Giroud.

Bayern Munich vs Manchester City 2-3 Highlights 2013 Champions League

0 التعليقات
Allianz Arena, Munich- 10 December, 2013
Bayern themselves won't be keen on giving out any points against Man City, especially as Pep Guardiola's men are playing in front of their home crowd. The Bavarian themselves will be chasing a perfect group stage record that should bolster their confidence for a much challenging knock out stages in 2014. This midweek battle should still spark many quality football as both teams are still chasing for three points.
Man City eventually coming up with all three points from that encounter as they proved their quality by overcoming such a strong opponent like Bayern Munich. The away side were forced to come back from two goals down as their Bavarians opponent got in front first through Thomas Muller after just five minutes of play, things got even more comfortable for the Bundesliga outfit when Mario Goetze bagged his team's second on 12 minutes.
Manchester City managed to pull one goal back during the first 45 minutes through David Silva and they finally got back on level terms on 59 minutes from Alexandre Kolarov's spot kick, before James Milner turned things around for the away side. Despite winning , Manuel Pellegrini's men remained as runners up behind Bayern as the German side are still ahead on head to head count.

Bayern Munich 2-3 Manchester City (Group D):
6′ 1-0 Müller T. // 12′ 2-0 Götze M. // 28′ 2-1 Silva D // 59′ 2-2 Kolarov A. // 63′ 2-3 Milner J.

Bayern Munich vs Manchester City Champions League 10 December, 2013

0 التعليقات

Tuesday, 10 December 2013, 20:45 CET - 7:45 P.M. GMT
Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany

In this season Bayern is also playing relentlessly, efficiently and very tight in defence which means that they are again playing as champions, so it appears that they will again defend two or three trophies which they won last season. They are still undefeated, and very few teams can boast that they were close or possibly better in the field than them. They played two draws in two championship matches in which they dominated, but were not as efficient as they are usually. This definitely was not the case on Saturday in Bremen, where they filled the network of Werder with seven balls.
They have completely destroyed their opponents from all positions, because the goals were achieved by six different players, with one own goal. Lahm, Robben were absent while Dante remained on the bench. Now it is certain that Schweinsteiger and Robben will not be able to play, while Lahm is recovered, but coach Guardiola will decide if he is going to send him to the field immediately.
Manchester City team have done well in Europe if you consider that in the previous two editions they were eliminated in the group stages. The Citizen have lost four of their eight away games in the Premier League this term but if they do manage to beat Bayern by three clear goals (or a two goal margin of any scoreline other than 2-0 or 3-1) they will finish top of Group D, thus giving themselves the chance of a better draw in the next round.
Pellegrini has suggested that he will rest some of his big names and Kompany is one of those players likely to be rested. David Silva is expected to be available after recovering from the calf injury which has kept him out of action for the last four weeks. Both Hart and Dzeko should be in the first 11 while Jovetic and  Nastasic are injured and Yaya Toure serves a one-match ban.
Bayern have the best defensive record in the competition so far this term, having conceded just two. When they met earlier at the Etihad, it was over four goals as Bayern came out 3-1 winners. Then Manchester City were simply outplayed and outclassed by the German side.
Pellegrini has never managed to get a win over Pep Guardiola in his time with Villarreal,  Real Madrid and Malaga. While, in his time with Barcelona, Guardiola faced english sides nine times and never lost one of them.

Possible line-ups:
Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Rafinha, Van Buyten, Boateng, Kirchhoff; Shaqiri, Kroos; Thiago Alcantara, Götze, Müller; Mandžukić.
Manchester City (4-4-2): Hart; Richards, Demichelis, Lescott, Clichy; Milner, Garcia, Rodwell, Nasri; Džeko, Negredo.

Inter Milan vs Parma 3-3 2013 Highlights Serie A

0 التعليقات
San Siro, Milan- 8 December, 2013- Serie A

Inter Milan continue to struggle in getting themselves back into winning ways as they only grabbed a point on their latest home fixture against Parma at San Siro. Playing in front of their home crowd, Nerazzurri were keen on making a bright start, but they found themselves going behind after 11 minutes through Nicola Sansone's effort. However, Inter managed to get back on level terms thanks to Rodrigo Palacio's strike on 44 minutes.
Parma managed to regain their lead just before the first 45 minutes whistle was blown with a goal coming from Marco Paolo. Inter improved their performance in the second period as Palacio completed his brace to make it 2-2 on 54 minutes. Two minutes later, Nerazzurri turned things around as they went ahead through Fredy Guarin's effort. That lead didn't last long though as the away side got their equalizer on 59 minutes with another effort from Sansone, who also netted a brace in that match.

Inter Milan 3-3 Parma:
11′ 0-1 Nicola Sansone // 44′ Rodrigo Palacio 1-1 // 45′ 1-2 Marco Parolo // 54′ Rodrigo Palacio 2-2 // 56′ Freddy Guarin 3-2 // 59′ 3-3 Nicola Sansone

AS Roma vs Fiorentina Italian Serie A 08-12-2013

0 التعليقات

Stadio Olimpico, Rome will be hosting on Sunday, 8 December 2013, an Italian Serie A match between AS Roma and Fiorentina . The match referee will be D. Orsato.
That is why the hosts this time also expect three points against the “Violas”, especially since they urgently need a win to regain their confidence. In fact, we know that the popular “Wolves” have recorded ten wins in the first 10 rounds of Serie A, but then came the incomprehensible decline in their game that has finally resulted in four consecutive draws. Of course it is not so worrisome, because they are still the only undefeated team in the league, but on the other hand the current champion Juventus has taken advantage of their mistakes and took over their leading position, so they now have three points more of than the Romans.
We should also mention that the Romans are still the team with the best defence in the league, since they received only four goals in 14 league matches, but they are also aware that they have to play a little risky if they want to get three points against the extremely unpleasant Fiorentina. That is why their coach Garcia has announced the return of their midfielder Pjanic and striker Ljajic in the first 11, while Bradley and Marquinho will move to the bench. On the other hand, their captain Totti and defender Balzaretti are still out of action due to their injuries.
As for Fiorentina, they are awaiting this Sunday’s duel with Roma in a much better mood, given that they recorded three victories in the last four rounds of Serie A, which again led to their breakthrough in the fifth place. Moreover, they continued with their great performances in the European league, where they have, after five rounds and 13 points, already secured placement in the knockout phase, so that they can now fully dedicate their attention to the domestic championship.
And since they have a very difficult duel with the second-ranked Roma, which admittedly is in a decline of form, it is very important that they triumphed against Verona at home last weekend, because this has helped them to very quickly regain their confidence after that defeat by Udinese away. Otherwise, it should be noted that their striker Rossi is simply brilliant in the jersey of Fiorentina, and he is currently the top scorer in Serie A with 12 goals scored, so it is generally not felt that they are performing without their biggest reinforcement this year, the German striker Gomez. Besides the injured Gomez, defender Hegazy and midfielders Pasqual and Vecino will also have to miss this match for the same reason.

Possible line-ups:
AC Fiorentina: Neto – Tomovic, Rodriguez, Savic, Vargas – Aquilani, Ambrosini, Valero – Cuadrado, Joaquin – Rossi.
AS Roma: De Sanctis – Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Dodo – Pjanic, De Rossi, Strootman – Florenzi, Ljaji, Gervinho.

After a goalless first 45 minutes, things finally opened up in the second half, but it was Newcastle that got themselves ahead, thanks to an effort from Yohan Cabaye on 61 minutes. Despite all of Man United's effort in trying to snatch an equalizing goal, they failed to convert any of their opportunities as the visitor hold down their slender lead until the final whistle was blown.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen Bundesliga 07-12-2013

0 التعليقات

Borussia Dortmund have lost the contact to league leader Bayern München in the last weeks. At the moment they are seven points behind Bayern and so Dortmund will be pressurised in their remaining three matches till the winter break. Dortmund needs probably nine points to protect their chances in the title match. A heavy task based on their long injury list. Coach Jürgen Klopp will miss five key-players: Mats Hummels, Neven Subotic, Marcel Schmelzer, Ilkay Gündogan and Marco Reus. Doubtful are the appearances of Nuri Sahin and Sven Bender.
Probable lineups Borussia Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Groskreutz, M.Fridriech, Sokratis, Durm – Kehl, Sahin (S.Bender) – Blaszczykowski, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang – Lewandowski.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen plays a strong Bundesliga 2013/14 so far. The team of coach Sami Hyypiä have lost only two of their 14 league matches - 11 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Leverkusen conceded both defeats in away matches (0:2 versus Schalke 04 and 0:1 versus Eintracht Braunschweig). After 14 matchdays they are second-placed and only four points behind league leader Bayern München. Not in the squad for the top match at Dortmund are Sidney Sam and Roberto Hilbert, while Sebastian Boenisch and Stefan Reinartz are doubtful.
Probable lineups Bayer Leverkusen (4-3-3): Leno – Donati, Toprak, Spahic, Can – Rolfes, L.Bender, Castro – Hegeler, Kiessling, Son.

Southampton vs Manchester City Premier League December 7, 2013

Southampton FC vs Manchester City
2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 15

On Saturday, 7 December 2013 at 10:00 (CET), Southampton FC will host Manchester City at St Marys Stadium, Southampton, United Kingdom for Round 15 of the 2013/2014 English Premier League.
Southampton flirted with the top 4 but a 3 game losing streak to Arsenal, Chelsea, and Aston Villa has dropped them back down to 8th. So naturally, greeting Manchester City this Saturday isn't a tantalizing proposition. The Saints had a bit of a soft schedule early on which perhaps explains their 2nd place ranking a few weeks ago. They're in the midst of a brutal stretch now, though, and until a trip to Sunderland January 18th, every game looks like they could lose. We'll find out a lot about this team and its qualities by the middle of January. Steer clear of the hosts this weekend until they show us more.
Manchester City team have been on an absolute tear, climbing the charts and back into the top 4, sitting 6 points adrift 1st place Arsenal. But away form, much like Chelsea, is the big question with the Citizens this campaign. Having lost to Cardiff City, Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Sunderland on the road, one wonders at the team's ability to stay focused for 90 minutes. Nonetheless, an on-fire Aguero and a seemingly always in-form Toure should be enough to bag a couple of goals. This may be a trap game for Man City with Bayern Munich coming up on Tuesday, and I'd be far more comfortable if it was a home game, but I still can't reason taking Southampton here.

England Face Italy and Uruguay Challenge in World Cup 2014 Group

0 التعليقات

World Cup 2014 group finals have been drawn this Friday and there were some interesting pairing which should provide nothing but entertainment for football lovers all over the globe with tough nations being placed in the same group. Group D can be considered as one of those interesting setup with three former champions, England, Italy along with Uruguay being paired up along with Concacaf side, Costa Rica. On paper those three nations would be competing hard for a place in the knock out stages, but Costa Rica can’t be taken for granted as surprise is not an uncommon thing in this type of event.
Meanwhile, home team, Brazil have a tricky test as they are being paired with Croatia, Mexico along with Cameroon, although based on recent form, Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men should still be strong favorites in advancing from group A, but they must put a strong focus on all of their opponents. Another difficult group is being handed to United States as they will be facing Germany, Portugal along with African giant, Ghana in Group G.
Defending champions, Spain are set to battle with Holland, Australia and also Chile in Group B, this setup  should also provide some interesting matches and give some challenge for Vicente Del Bosque’s side. France national side can considered themselves being drawn in a relatively ‘light’ group as they are being paired with Switzerland, Ecuador along with Honduras.
While there is a number of close groups which appear too tight to call, much-fancied underdogs Belgium would face one of the easier groups having been pooled together in Group H with Algeria, Mexico and Bosnia. With Belgium currently experiencing its own ‘golden generation’ with the likes of Christian Benteke, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku shining in the Premier League among many of their international team-mates, they have been tipped for an unlikely appearance in the latter stages of the tournament.

Here is the complete Drawing for World Cup 2014 Finals:
GROUP A - Brazil, Italy, France, Australia.
GROUP B - Uruguay, Nigeria, USA, Croatia.
GROUP C - Argentina, Ghana, Costa Rica, Russia.
GROUP D - Switzerland, Chile, Japan, Greece.
GROUP E - Spain, Ivory Coast, South Korea, England.
GROUP F - Colombia, Cameroon, Honduras, Holland.
GROUP G - Germany, Ecuador, Iran, Portugal.
GROUP H - Belgium, Algeria, Mexico, Bosnia.

2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 14
Match date: Wednesday, 4 December 2013
Kick Off Time: 7:45 PM GMT - 20:45 CET

Sunderland themselves still can't seem to lift themselves from that bottom three seat as they can't seem to pick up positive run of results so far this season. However, there's still signs of improvement already in recent matches as they already grabbed two victories, which were unattainable early in the season. That positive sign might helped their morale when hosting the Blues this midweek as they are keen on snatching all three points from Mourinho's men.
The Blues eventually taking away all three points from that midweek clash after defeating Sunderland in a thrilling tie at Stadium of Light. Trailing through Jozy Altidore's effort on 14 minutes, Chelsea bounced back with Frank Lampard scoring on 17 minutes and Eden Hazard on 36 minutes.
Sunderland drew level with an effort from John O'Shea on 50 minutes, but Hazard regained his team's lead with his goal on 62 minutes. An own goal from Peter Bardsley six minutes from time distanced Chelsea further from their opponent, but Bardsley's did made up for his effort with a goal two minutes later, though is wasn't enough to stop Jose Mourinho's men from taking home all three points.

14′ Jozy Altidore 1-0 // 17′ 1-1 Frank Lampard // 36′ 1-2 Eden Hazard // 50′ John O´Shea 2-2 // 62′ 2-3 Eden Hazard // 84′ 2-4 (o.g.) Phillip Bardsley // 86′ Phillip Bardsley 3-4

Manchester United vs Everton Premier League - December 4, 2013

0 التعليقات
On Wednesday, 4th December at 7:45 PM GMT, Manchester United will host Everton FC at Old Trafford for Round 14 of the 2013/2014 English Premier League.
When it comes to the team from Manchester, we all know what a disastrous start they had in this new season, which is closely related to the departure of their long-time coach Ferguson. But after they won only 11 points in the first eight rounds, with three defeats, it is obvious that the players have finally come to terms with their new coach Moyes, because after that they recorded three wins and two draws, which is why they are now only five points behind the second-ranked Chelsea. However, it will be very interesting to see how will Moyes stand up to his former players, especially since United is located behind Everton in the standings, and these points are indispensable in their fight to return to the very top of the Premiership.
We should also add that the “Red Devils” have recently secured their placement in the knockout phase of the Champions League, after they celebrated with 5-0 over Bayer Leverkusen, while they played 2-2 with Tottenham in a very interesting match last weekend. As for their composition in this duel with Everton, the recovered van Persie should return in the first team, while the injured midfielders Fletcher and Carrick are still not able to perform, as well as the suspended defender Jones.
Everton have lost just the one game all season, and they are unbeaten in their last six (W3 D3) in the league. After an impressive 4-0 win over Stoke on Saturday they are sitting pretty in 5th, on the same points as Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
The visitors will be without Baines (toe), while Arouna Kone and Gibson are months away from recovering from injury. Barkley will be hoping to Leon Osman after dropping to the bench against Stoke City but Martínez's big decision is whether to retain on-loan Barcelona youngster Deulofeu after his impressive display against the Potters or bring back the safer option of Mirallas.
The Toffees haven’t won at Old Trafford since 1992 and the Red Devils have not lost at home to Everton in their last 20 top-flight meetings. Anyway, United have just one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League matches, so Everton could snatch a goal.

Possible line-ups:
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): de Gea – Smalling, Evans, Vidic, Evra – Cleverley, Fellaini – Valencia, Rooney, Welbeck – van Persie
Everton (4-2-3-1): Howard – Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Oviedo – McCarthy, Barry – Deulofeu, Osman, Pienaar – Lukaku
