The Toffees have drawn both of their games 2-2 thus far, twice conceding
the lead in their opener at Leicester before letting a two goal
advantage slip through their fingers in the final 10 minutes last time
out against Arsenal.
Lukaku limped off with a foot problem in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal and
will be assessed closer to kick off. Arouna Koné, Ross Barkley and Bryan
Oviedo are on the sidelines. Steven Pienaar is ruled out with a groin
injury while new boy Christian Atsu is ineligible to face his parent
club. New signing Samuel Eto'o is in line to make his debut, but
possibly from the bench.
Chelsea enter this game after winning the second league fixture against Premier League newcomers Leicester City at Stamford Bridge, a result that aw the Blues maintain a perfect start to the league campaign.
With Fernando Torres on his way out of the club, Saturday could see Didier Drogba return to the starting line-up to lead the line in Costa's absence. André Schürrle is a doubt with a leg injury, so Willian could start here in midfield. Cesc Fabregas is likely to partner Nemanja Matic in the double-pivot while the new boy Filipe Luis will warm the bench once again.
Everton are undefeated in 26 of their last 29 home matches in the Premier League. Recent league games between these teams have tended to be tight.Last term both games were won 1-0 by the home side.
