Real Madrid failed to make major advancement
in current La Liga standings as this weekend they were held into
a draw by Valencia at Santiago Bernebau.
Knowing that their two
rivals dropped points in their previous league fixtures, Madrid were
keen on snatching maximum result against Valencia. It was not an
easy task though for Carlo Ancelotti's men as El Che put on a solid
display on that day, creating many difficulties despite playing away.
The
visitor proved their quality as they got themselves in front just
before half time break with a goal coming from Jeremy Mathieu. Madrid worked hard to get back on level terms and they were able to do it when Sergio Ramos equalized on 59 minutes.
However, trouble arrived again for Los Blancos as Valencia regained their lead with an effort from Dani Parejo on 65 minutes. It
took a while for Madrid to fought back, but they did manage to salvage a
point when Cristiano Ronaldo snatched an equalizing goal in stoppage
time.
