Goals: Spain – Pedro 63'
Spain continue their recent domination over
Italy as La Furia Roja snatched a slender friendly victory over their
rival this midweek at Vicente Calderon stadium. The home side tried to
take control of things since kick off as they played their normal ball
possession style of football trying to patiently break down their
opponent's resistance. It was not an easy task though as Italy put on a
solid display during the first 45 minutes forcing that half to end in a
goalless draw.
Both teams, especially the host were looking
really eager in snatching that winning goal in the second period and La
Furia Roja's attempts were eventually rewarded as Pedro puts them ahead
on 63 minutes. Despite further attempts from those two teams, no more
goals were scored on that tie as that tie ended in a 1-0 result.
