Roma vs Inter Milan - Competition: Italian Serie A
AS Roma’s 1-2 win at Udinese last weekend was their eighth Serie A victory
in a row under Luciano Spalletti. The Giallorossi are undefeated in
their last seven home league fixtures (W5-D2) and currently sit 3rd in
the league standings, 8 points behind Juventus and 5 ahead Inter.
Spalletti will probably send the strongest team to face Inter, given thatt only defenders Rudiger and Gyomber are injured. The availability of both Daniele De Rossi and Radja Nainggolan should lead to a 4-2-3-1, with Dzeko leading the line and Diego Perotti, El Shaarawy and Mohamed Salah behind the Bosnian striker.

Inter Milan enter this match in good form. Their 2-1 win at home against
Bologna last weekend marked the occasion of their third win on the
bounce in all competitions. Anyway, they have failed to win their last 5
away league matches. They are five points and two places below Roma in
Italian Serie A as their are now sharing a fourth spot with Fiorentina bu trail
Paulo Sousa’s side on goal difference. Winning here would also put them
back into the mix for third, while a loss would put an end to such
ambitions.
Captain Mauro Icardi picked up an injury last time out and will not be risked. With Rodrigo Palacio suspended and Stevan Jovetic injured, the task of leading the line for Inter will be left to Eder. Mancini will deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Marcelo Brozovic, Adem Ljaijc and Ivan Perisic playing as offensive midfielders while Medel and Kondogbia will protect the defense.
Inter Milan team have won both of the sides’ most recent meetings (albeit in Milan) and have lost just one of their last four against the Giallorossi. The Nerazzurri won the reverse fixture 1-0 with goal came courtesy of Gary Medel.
