Netherlands vs France - International Friendly
Venue: Amsterdam Arena, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Date: Friday, March 25 2016 - 19:45 GMT

Netherlands team failed to qualify for Euro 2016 after a dismal campaign saw then finish fourth in Group A behind the Czech Republic, Iceland and Turkey. Since the end of the qualifying campaign, the Dutch team played just one friendly and they beat Wales 3-2 with Arjen Robben scoring the winner in the 81st minute. The Oranje are very vulnerable at back and have conceded 10 goals in their last five outings.
Holland are still in their rebuilding phase and the head-coach will take this as an opportunity to tinker with his tactics and line-up. Robben misses with a thigh problem he picked up in the Champions League against Juventus. Gregory van der Wiel and Maarten Stekelenburg have also been left out as well as Van Persie who continues to struggle with Fenerbahce. Furthermore, full-back Erik Pieters has been withdrawn from the squad.
France, the host nation of the Euro 2016, are W10-D2-L4 through 16 friendlies since the World Cup. Didier Deschamps’ side have won five of their last six matches and look like a strong contender to challenge for the tournament in the home soil. They suffered a 2-0 defeat away to England last time out. Les Blues have managed only 3 wins in their last 7 outings.
With Benzema still suspended, Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is expected to start up front, with Andre Pierre Gignac ready to play in the 2nd half. Steve Mandanda and Hugo Lloris are in contention for a place in goal, while N’Golo Kante is in line for his first cap. Dimitri Payet, who has been impressive with West Ham United in the EPL is also certain to start.

Probable lineups:
Netherlands: Cillessen – Karsdorp, van Dijk, Blind, Willems – Clasie, Wijnaldum – Narsingh, Snejider, Depay – Huntelaar.
France: Lloris – Sagna, Varane, Koscielny, Evra – Pogba, Matuidi, Cabaye, Coman – Griezman, Giroud.

Roma vs Inter Milan Italian Serie A - 19-03-2016

0 التعليقات

Roma vs Inter Milan - Competition: Italian Serie A

AS Roma’s 1-2 win at Udinese last weekend was their eighth Serie A victory in a row under Luciano Spalletti. The Giallorossi are undefeated in their last seven home league fixtures (W5-D2) and currently sit 3rd in the league standings, 8 points behind Juventus and 5 ahead Inter.
Spalletti will probably send the strongest team to face Inter, given thatt  only defenders Rudiger and Gyomber are injured. The availability of both Daniele De Rossi and Radja Nainggolan should lead to a 4-2-3-1, with Dzeko leading the line and Diego Perotti, El Shaarawy and Mohamed Salah behind the Bosnian striker.
Inter Milan enter this match in good form. Their 2-1 win at home against Bologna last weekend marked the occasion of their third win on the bounce in all competitions. Anyway, they have failed to win their last 5 away league matches. They are five points and two places below Roma in Italian Serie A as their are now sharing a fourth spot with Fiorentina bu trail Paulo Sousa’s side on goal difference. Winning here would also put them back into the mix for third, while a loss would put an end to such ambitions.
Captain Mauro Icardi picked up an injury last time out and will not be risked. With Rodrigo Palacio suspended and Stevan Jovetic injured, the task of leading the line for Inter will be left to Eder. Mancini will deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Marcelo Brozovic, Adem Ljaijc and Ivan Perisic playing as offensive midfielders while Medel and Kondogbia will protect the defense.
Inter Milan team have won both of the sides’ most recent meetings (albeit in Milan) and have lost just one of their last four against the Giallorossi. The Nerazzurri won the reverse fixture 1-0 with goal came courtesy of Gary Medel.

Bayern Munich vs Juventus - Champions League
Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany
Wednesday, March 16 2016 - 19:45 GMT

Bayern Munich team returned to form in the league with a 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen at the weekend, with Muller and Thiago Alcantara both scoring braces.  The German giants have won all but one of their 17 home competitive games this season. They are currently enjoying their best ever run in this competition on home turf with nine consecutive wins, a run in which they have having 36 goals and conceded just four.
Arjen Robben missed last weekend's match with a cold and is a doubt. The Dutchman should be replaced by Franck Ribery. Joshua Kimmich expected to partner Mehdi Benatia at the heart of the defence. Defender Javi Martinez could return to action after recovering from a knee injury but Jerome Boateng and Holger Badstuber are both sidelined.
In the first leg, Juventus Torino showed their ability to overturn a 2-0 deficit with goals from Paulo Dybala and Stefano Sturaro and how to break Bayern's defense. Domestically, a fifth consecutive Italian Serie A title is on the horizon following a 1-0 victory over Sassuolo on Friday night - a result that moved them three points clear of second-placed SSC Napoli with nine matches left to play. The Bianconeri have not conceded a single goal in Serie A in the last 10 matches.
Manager Max Allegri should deploy a 4-3-3 formation with Cuadrado, Morata and Mandzukic up front. Hernanes, Paul Pogba and Sami Khedira will start in the middle of the park while centre-back Giorgio Chiellini, playmaker Claudio Marchisio and in-form striker Paulo Dybala all miss out. Martin Caceres is still sidelined with an Achilles injury. Alex Sandro had missed the first leg with a muscle injury but he will be at Allegri’s disposal this time.

Probable lineups:
Bayern Munich: Neuer – Lahm, Kimmich, Benatia, Alaba – Vidal – Robben, Alcantara, T. Muller, D. Costa – Lewandowski.
Juventus: Buffon – Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Bonucci, Evra – Khedira, Pogba, Marchisio, Cuadrado – Mandzukic, Dybala.

Everton vs Chelsea - Competition: English FA Cup

Everton team are 12th with 10 games left in the Barclays Premier League and were beaten in the COC semi-finals. They enter this clash on the back of last weekend's 3-2 home loss to West Ham when they threw away a two-goal lead and missed penalty. Martinez is coming under pressure with Everton in the bottom half of the table
Everton have a number of fitness doubts for the match, including Bryan Oviedo with a chest infection. Kevin Mirallas is suspended following his red card against the Hammers while Tyias Browning remains sidelined until the end of the season. Leighton Baines and Gerard Deulofeu could both come into the starting XI. Aaron Lennon is doubtful and will undergo a late fitness test.
Chelsea FC are still unbeaten under Guus Hiddink in domestic competitions. Anyway, they did suffer a second 2-1 defeat on Wednesday when a reverse against PSG sent them out of the Champions League. In English FA Cup the Blues have beaten Scunthorpe United and MK Dons 2-0 and 5-1 respectively, they booked their place in the last eight with another 5-1 success against a weakened Man City.
Captain Terry returns to contention after a six-match absence with a hamstring problem. Striker Diego Costa is undergoing treatment for a hip problem which forced him off last time out and he is a doubt for the trip. Hazard is also carrying a knock and may not be risked. Hiddink must decide between Bertrand Traore, Loic Remy and Alexandre Pato to lead the line as the perennially injured Radamel Falcao remains out along with Kurt Zouma. Kenedy is expected to get the nod at left-back again.
Everton have won just one of their last five meetings with Chelsea in all competitions, although that did come earlier this season when the Toffees recorded a home victory in September against a struggling Chelsea. Later this season these two sides recorded a 3-3 draw in January's English Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid vs Roma - UEFA Champions League
Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid, Spain
Tuesday, 08 March 2016 - 19:45 GMT

Real Madrid team enter this match after a 7-1 destruction of Celta Vigo at the weekend, a game in which Cristiano Ronaldo netted four times. The Blancos remain a massive 12 points behind Barcelona and four behind local rivals Atletico, having lost in the Santiago Bernabeu to both sides. At this stage of the competition, last year the Galacticos returned from Gelsenkirchen with a 2-0 win over Schalke 04 and then lost the second leg 4-3 at the Bernabeu, coming very close to a humiliating elimination. Anyway, it was their only UCL defeat at the Bernabeu in the last five years. Furtheremore, this year they have kept three clean sheets in three home games in the group stage.
Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Marcelo and Gareth Bale should all return in the starting XI while Karim Benzema remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. James Rodriguez and Mateo Kovacic are competing for a place in the side, though the former could get the nod. Should Zidane decides to rest a some of the recovered players, Casemiro and Jese could both start.
AS Roma also enjoyed high-scoring domestic victory at the weekend as they beat Fiorentina 4-1 with an impressive performance. They will be full of confidence as they have recorded straight Serie A wins under new manager Luciano Spalletti. The Giallorossi were thumped 6-1 by Barcelona back in November during Rudi Garcia's reign. They won just one of six group matches. suffered a 3-2 fedeat at BATE and drew 4-4 at Leverkusen.
The domestic winning streak has been fueled by Mohamed Salah, El Shaarawy and Diego Perotti, and the trio is expected to start up front. Edin Dzeko will be benched once again. Seydou Keita could start alongside Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic in the middle of the park. No chances to see Kevin Strootman and Francesco Totti playing at some stage. Defender Antonio Rudiger is doubtful while De Rossi, Ezequiel Ponce and Norbert Gyomber all miss the trip due to injury.

Probable lineups:
Real Madrid: Navas – Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo – Kovacic, Casemiro, Isco – Bale, Ronaldo, Jese.
AS Roma: Szczesny – Florenzi, Rudiger, Manolas, Digne – Pjanic, Keita, Nainggolan – Salah, Perotti, El Shaarawy.

Tottenham vs Arsenal 05-03-2016 Premier League

0 التعليقات

Tottenham vs Arsenal
Competition: Premier League
Date: 5 March 2016 - Time: 12:45 GMT
Venue: White Hart Lane, London

Tottenham team come into this fixture off the back of a bloody defeat, 1-0 away at West Ham United, in midweek. The Spurs have now lost two and drawn one of their last five matches in all competitions with a 3-0 over FIorentina in Europa League as their only victory in the process. They have won four of their last five league games at White Hart Lane, but all four of those wins came against sides currently in the bottom half and they lost to Leicester City in the other match on January 13.
Mousa Dembele is doubtful and if he fails to recover in time, Ryan Mason or Tom Carroll will likely start in the double-pivot. Dele Alli looks fairly certain to come back into the starting XI after playing 30 minutes as a substitute last time out. Harry Kane will lead the line as usual with Heung-Min Son, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli in contention for a starting berth in the offensive midfield trio. Clinton N'Jie and Jan Vertonghen are both sidelined.
Arsenal enter this match on the back of a embarassing 0-1 defeat at Emirates Stadium against a struggling Swansea. The Gunner have now lost three matches in a row in all competitions and drawn with Championship side Hull City in the English FA Cup. A defeat at White Hart Lane on Sunday would virtually extinguish all hope of the Gunners being crowned champions
Arsene Wenger will be without Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny for the north London derby against Tottenham, with both players nursing calf injuries. They join Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta on the sidelines. Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey may line up once more at the base of midfield in Wenger’s standard 4-2-3-1 formation  while Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will almost certainly form the rest of the attacking midfield trio, with Danny Welbeck perhaps earning a recall.
Arsenal team held Spurs to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates when the clubs last met in the league in November, two months after triumphing 1-2 at White Hart Lane in the League Cup. Tottenham have lost just one of their last seven EPL games against the Gunners at White Hart Lane (W4 D2 L1).

Probable lineups:
Tottenham: Lloris – Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose – Dier, Alli – Lamela, Eriksen, Son – Kane.
Arsenal: Ospina – Bellerin, Mertesacker, Paulista, Monreal – Coquelin, Ramsey – Campbell, Ozil, Sanchez – Giroud.

Roma vs Fiorentina Italian Serie A - March 04, 2016

0 التعليقات

Roma vs Fiorentina - Competition: Italian Serie A

AS Roma’s 1-3 win at Empoli last weekend marked the occasion of their sixth consecutive victory in Serie A under Luciano Spalletti. The team has been rejuvenated since the change of coach, having scored 17 goals and conceded only seven. Their only loss during the last 13 league matches was against the defending champions Juve, who beat them 1-0 at the Juventus Stadium. The Giallorossi currently occupy third spot by virtue of their superior goal difference over Fiorentina, so this match is a six pointer!
Vice-captain De Rossi is the only absentee from the Giallorossi squad. Spalletti is likely to play once again with Stephan El Shaarawy as false nine, with both Edin Dzeko and captain Francesco Totti on the bench. Radja Nainggolan has recovered from the muscular problem sufffered during the game at Empoli and should be available to play here.

Fiorentina team have gone seven matches without defeat in Italian Serie A and most recently held free-scoring Napoli to a 1-1 draw in Tuscany, just four days after comprehensive Europa League defeat away to Tottenham. It's their third crucial game in the space of eight days and they might be suffering from fatigue following a very intense month.
Mauro Zarate is still out with a ban despite the appeal. As consequence Cristian Tello, Federico Bernardeschi and Borja Valero are expected to feature behind Nikola Kalinic. On-loan Leicester full-back Yohan Benalouane is currently on Fiorentina's treatment table
In the reverse match earlier in the season the Giallorossi secured a 2-0 away win. Last season’s encounters saw Roma easily win 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Italian Serie A , but the Viola won 3-0 in Rome in the Europa League. ASRoma’s home fixtures in Serie A have averaged more than three goals per game this term. Plus, there have been goals at both ends in each of Fiorentina’s last five league matches. Anyway, this could be a hard-fought match and we expect few goals to be scored.

Roma last 5 matches:
07/02/16 Roma 2 – 1 Sampdoria
12/02/16 Carpi 1 – 3 Roma
17/02/16 Roma 0 – 2 Real Madrid
21/02/16 Roma 5 – 0 Palermo
27/02/16 Empoli 1 – 3 Roma

Fiorentina last 5 matches:
14/02/16 Fiorentina 2 – 1 Inter
18/02/16 Fiorentina 1 – 1 Tottenham
21/02/16 Atalanta 2 – 3 Fiorentina
25/02/16 Tottenham 3 – 0 Fiorentina
