Manchester United team enjoyed a decent pre-season campaign. Van Gaal's men lost
their last warm-up match 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain but they have won
all other three friendlies (including a 3-1 win over Barcelona).
Robin van Persie, Di Maria and Falcao have left the club has enjoyed arguably the strongest summer transfer-window of any side in the English top-flight. New signings Bastian Schweinsteiger, Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Morgan Schneiderlin are all likley to start. Daley Blind will play at the centre of defence while Rooney will lead the line. David De Gea will not play as he is in the process to move to Real Madrid while Marcos Rojo is unlikely to feature having returned late to pre-season from Copa America duty.
