Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United - Competition: English Premier League
Tottenham are one of the many teams wanting to
get into the top four and claim a UCL spot. They are
currently placed 6th in the EPL with only three points less than Southampton on the 3rd place. Spurs
have been doing well lately, although the 3-2 loss to Liverpool last
time out was a tough one to take. Generally they are great at home where
they won their last three league games. The home record in the league
is 7-2-4 with a scoring balance of 20-15. It is also worth noticing
that Tottenham have scored at least two goals in their past four league
games. Two of the most important players have been Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, who
are having some fantastic performances in the league. Kane is proving
himself as an incredible attacker (13 goals), while the Danish Playmaker
Eriksen is crucial for the teams performance. It will be interesting to
see, whether the injury-hit West Ham defence can cope with these two
youngsters. Spurs have had some trouble playing West Ham in the past,
but we expect them to come out on top in the London derby.
West Ham United seemed to be unstoppable earlier this season.
It is well deserved that they are placed as number 8 in the table, but
the recent drop in could take them out of the top 10 flight. In the last
four games West Ham have only gained two points. Especially the latest
loss in the FA Cup to West Bromwich was a tough one. WHU left with a
devastating 4-0 loss. A big reason for this is the missing players. Andy Carrol
was an important players this season with five goals, and he will
probably be out for the rest of the season. This means that Diafra Sakho
(8 goals this season) becomes even more important when it comes to
scoring goals. For this game Amalfitano will also be
out due to suspension. West Ham have been decent away from Upton Park
this season going 3-5-4 with a goal score of 16-17. But with so many
missing players it will be hard to see West Ham take points against
Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
