FC Barcelona vs Villarreal
Competition: Spanish Primera Division, Matchday 21
Match date: 1 February 2015
Kick Off Time: 20:00 GMT
Venue: Camp Nou, Barcelon, Spain

Barcelona team are in a solid form in these days. The Catalans have 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat in their last 10 games and with that, they are still one point behind Real Madrid with 47 points. However, we should mention that Real Madrid has also one game in hand over their rivals. Luis Enrique’s side also continues their path in the Copa Del Rey as they defated respectively Elche and Atletico Madrid in the last two rounds by 9:0 and 4:2 on aggregate. Being down 2:1 on Wednesday night against Atletico Madrid was a stressfull situation for the Catalans, still they managed a comeback in a game where Neymar shined again. The brazilian magician shows a much better performance compared to last year and it can be proved cleary by looking at the number of his goals in 2014/2015 season. Besides Neymar, Argentinian superstar Messi has also been in great form in the last rounds and the problems between him and his coach Luis Enrique seem to be solved.
Villarreal play a great season in La Liga BBVA so far. The yellow submarines are on a 10 game unbeaten streak and they claimed seven victories in that streak. All of the last five home games were won and they also managed to stay unconquered in their last five games on the road by taking 3 draws and 2 wins. As a result of this performance, they are holding 6th place with 38 points before 21st matchday. Coach Marcelino has a very young team, which is known for a short passing game and the youthfulness is always significant in the energetic play they show on the field. Luciano Vietto, who has been a key part of Villarreal’s success so far with 14 goals and 5 assists in Primera, will become an important figure in Camp Nou. Like Barcelona, also Villareal played in Copa Del Rey at midweek and they reached the semi finals after a 0:1 away win over Getafe.

Probable lineups:
FC Barcelona: Bravo – Dani Alves, Pique, Mathieu, Jordi Alba – Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta – Messi, Neymar, Suarez.
Villarreal: S. Asenjo – Mario, V. Ruiz, Musacchio, J. Costa – Trigueros, Soriano – Campbell, dos Santos, Cheryshev – Vietto.

Sheffield United 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur:
28' 0-1 Christian Eriksen // 77' Che Adams 1-1 // 79' Che Adams 2-1 // 88' 2-2 Christian Eriksen

The match of Tottenham and Sheffield United in Capital One Cup ended as 2-2 draw. However it was Tottenham that dominated this match in all aspects but perhaps this match was not meant for their win as they created chances but couldn’t get the winning goal from their opponent. On the contrary their opponents did very well to defend themselves in this match and in the end they managed to get a draw from it.

Congo DR vs Tunisia Africa Cup of Nations - January 26, 2015

0 التعليقات
DR Congo vs Tunisia - Competition: Africa Cup of Nations, Group B

DR Congo record in the year 2015 is actually pretty nice, because they have not lost a game so far. Even after two games at the Africa Cup of Nations they could stay unbeaten in. Still they won’t be too happy, cause theres no win on their side in these last games. In group B they collected 2 points (1:1 against Zambia, 0:0 against the Cape Verde Islands). Still they have the chance to advance to the next round, but to do so they would need a win against Tunisia to be safe. With a X in the next game, and a win by the Cape Verde Islands against Zambia they would fall back to the 3rd position. Therefore they will do anything to get the 3 points in the last match. Especially in the offense they still have to improve with only one goal scored so far at the Africa Cup.
Tunisia team already stands with one foot in the quarter final of the Africa Cup of nations. Especially after match day 2 in group B they seem to have the best chances for advancing. The reason is their close 2:1 win against Zambia on match day 2. Nevertheless this last meeting was not an easy game for them with a 0:1 leg in minute 59. Still they did not need to much time to find the equalizer. This happened 10 minutes later but the crucial 2:1 was scored late, in minute 88 by Yacine Chikhaoui. After the 1:1 in their kick off match against the Cape Verde Islands and the win against Zambia they have 4 points on their side, one more draw and they stand in the quarter final of the Africa Cup of nations. They will try to stabilize the defense and not to concede a goal in the best case, but with Congo desperate for a win, they could get some space for counter attacks in this last group stage match.

Algeria vs South Africa Africa Cup of Nations 19-01-2015

Algeria vs South Africa - Competition: Africa Cup of Nations

Algeria team played a very good World Cup in summer, even almost defeated world champions Germany when got beaten in the Round of 16 not before extra time. Most players of the young side were born and educated in France and since Vahid Halilhodzic retired after the World Cup, they now also have a French coach in Christian Gourcuff. The ‘Fennecs’ stand for an offensive short passing game and they do have strong offensive players like Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia), Yacine Brahimi (FC Porto), El Arbi Hillel Soudani (Zagreb), Islam Slimani (Sporting Lisbon) or Saphir Taider (Sassuolo). On the other side their defence is not the most solid and with Essaïd Belkalem (Trabzon) an important central defender will miss the Africa Cup due to an injury. Algeria won the first five games in the qualification, lost the only match in Mali when were already qualified.
South Africa did not qualify for the last World Cup and were even kicked out as hosts on group stage in the 2014 African Nations Championship. Considering that the ‘Bafana Bafana’ had won the Africa Cup four times in the past, the last years were obviously very disappointing for them, they also did not survive the group stage of the 2010 World Cup in their own country. But at least they managed to stay unbeaten in a 2015 Africa Cup qualifying group with Nigeria, Kongo and Sudan and are meanwhile undefeated in eleven games since March 2014. Shakes Mashaba, who became national coach in July 2014, nominated mostly players from teams of the South African Premier Soccer League. Striker Tokelo Rantie plays in England for the Championship side AFC Bournemouth, defender Anele Ngcongca for the Belgium team KRC Genk. Due to a knee injury defender Patrick Phungwayo has been ruled out of the Africa Cup.

AC Milan vs Atalanta Italian Serie A - January 18, 2015

0 التعليقات
AC Milan vs Atalanta - Competition: Italian Serie A
Match date: 18 January 2015 - Kick Off Time: 14:00 GMT
Venue: Stadio San Siro, Milan, Italie

Milan team are a big team. However, their form is awful. They are currently on 8th place with 6 wins, 8 draws and 4 losses with a goal difference of 27:21 and 26 points after 18 rounds. In round 17, AC Milan were handed a stark reminder of how much work they still have to do to return to the upper echelons in Serie A after Sassuolo claimed a famous 2-1 victory at San Siro. Filippo Inzaghi’s men harboured aspirations of climbing into the European places and Andrea Poli put them on the right track in the early exchanges with his first goal of the season. Ambitious visitors Sassuolo were in no mood to roll over, however, and two assists from Domenico Berardi helped Gianluca Sansone and then, after the break, Simone Zaza to turn the game around. Last round, AC Milan shared points with the hosts Torino. Jeremy Menez’s third-minute penalty put Milan ahead but they then found themselves having to weather a fierce Torino storm, a situation not helped by the visitors’ loss of Mattia De Sciglio to a red card before half-time.
Last round there was late drama at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia as Atalanta drew 1-1 against Chievo in what turned out to be a closely fought encounter. Atalanta began the game in a postive fashion and were eager to launch the ball into the Chievo half as often as possible. Davide Zappacosta put Atalanta in the lead after 71 minutes following a fantastic long-range strike. Despite a red card for Gianpaolo Bellini, it seemed as if the hosts would hold on to claim the three points, but in the final minute Lazarevic stepped up to curl a free kick into the corner and salvaged a point for his team. The draw left Atalanta on 17 points, one place and two points above the relegation zone. They have 3 wins, 8 draws and 7 defeats with a goal difference of 14:24 and 17 points so far.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid Copa del Rey 2nd leg - 15-01-2014

0 التعليقات
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid - Competition: Copa del Rey

Real Madrid team will attempt to dig themselves out of 0:2 hole in the 2nd leg of their last-16 tie against their in-town rivals. The first leg saw Los Blancos fall despite creating numerous first-half chances that admittedly should have been put away. Then a second-half penalty was rightly given when Ramos dragged down Raul Garcia in the box, and the “White Ballet” hardly resembled a neatly-choreographed performance. They were held without a goal for just the first time in 28 games, which just so happened to come against Atletico Madrid as well in the Super Cup, and confidence may be low headed in considering they have failed to conquer their noisy neighbors in all 4 competitive meetings this season. However, it is important to note that Cristiano Ronaldo has only played 1 full match against the visitors this season, and he came on in their Copa del Ray 1st-leg match with under half an hour to play. But the Portuguese super-stud is expected to start here and last the match’s entirety, and his presence alone gives the hosts the upper hand headed in. He can single-handedly take over a match with a moment of brilliance, and we fancy him being able to help his team to victory this Thursday. However, whether that will be enough to qualify or not remains to be seen.
Atletico Madrid team continue to plague their neighbors after sitting in their long shadow for so many years. Manager Diego Simeone has masterminded a number of excellent results against Real, one of which came in the 1st leg of this Copa del Ray last-16 tie. Los Blancos had been shredding opponents with a high-powered attack and had entered the Vicente Calderon with an astonishing 32 goals on the road through 9 La Liga matches. But the stern, physical defence that Atletico used to claim the pinnacle of Spanish football last season came through once again, as they held Real to another shutout, meaning they have now scored just 2 goals through 4 competitive meetings against Atletico this term (Super Cup included). Furthermore, the visitors have conceded just 10 goals through 9 BBVA La Liga road games (3rd-best in La Liga), and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them stifle the “White Ballet” yet again. However, it must be said that Los Colchoneros have not received their typical dose of Cristiano this season, with the Portuguese star playing more than 45 minutes in just 1 of their 4 competitive meetings. While Atletico could be buoyed by the possible return of centre-back Miranda, it may take extra time and perhaps even penalties for the visitors to reach the Quarter-Finals of the competition.

Probable lineups
Atletico Madrid: Oblak – Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Siqueira – Mario Suarez, Gabi – Niguez, Raul Garcia, Griezmann – F. Torres.
Real Madrid: Navas – Carvajal, Pepe, S. Ramos, Marcelo – T. Kroos, Isco – Bale, J. Rodriguez, C. Ronaldo – Benzema.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Spanish Primera Division 11-01-2015

0 التعليقات
Match: FC Barcelona vs Atlético de Madrid
Date: 11 January 2015 - 20:00 GMT
Competition: Spanish Primera Division

FC Barcelona will be looking for a league bounce back after they lost to David Moyes’ Real Sociedad last weekend but they trashed 5-0 Elche in midweek's Copa del Rey round. Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta was sacked after Sunday's defeat to Sociedad and Carles Puyol, the former Barcelona star and Zubizarreta's assistant, resigned from his position. On top of all came a hidden conflict between coach Luis Enrique and their star player Messi.
Luis Enrique will play with his best XI.  Xavi is a doubt as well as of stopper Mathieu but Neymar, Messi and Suarez will start the match. Thomas Vermaelen remain the only injured player.
Atletico Madrid have won 5 of their last 6 matches in BBVA La Liga. The Colchoneros will also be buoyed following their 2-0 victory over cross-town rivals Real Madrid in the first leg of their round-of-16 clash in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. Away from home, Atletico have won 13 and lost just four away games last season, and have already won five out of eight in this campaign, including a 1-0 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Coach Simeone is likely to recall Mario Mandzukic in place of Fernando Torres who made his second debut for the club in midweek. Cristian Rodriguez was back in Atleti training this week, while recovered stopper Miranda will stay on the bench because Gimenez is simply excellent. Cani and Cristian Ansaldi are the only absentees for the Argentine manager to contend with. Frenchman Griezmann is in great form having scored five goals in Athleticos last two league matches nd he is likely to start.
Both teams have won twelve and lost three of their opening 17 fixtures, with the Catalans holding the edge in goal difference. Barcelona have won 34 of their last 38 home matches in La Liga but they failed to beat Atletico in six meetings last season, losing one and drawing five. Atletico have an extra day of recovery and this could be a decisive factor.

Probable lineups:
Atlético de Madrid : Moya – Juanfran, Godin, Gimenez, Siqueira – Gabi, Tiago – Koke, Arda Turan, Griezmann – Mandzukic.
FC Barcelona: Bravo – Dani Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Jordi Alba – Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta – Neymar, Messi, Suarez.

Juventus vs Inter Milan Italian Serie A - 06-01-2015

Juventus vs Inter Milan
Competition: Italian Serie A
Match date: Tuesday, 6 January 2015
Kick Off Time: 20:00 GMT
Venue: Juventus Arena, Torino, Italy

Juventus team have been the elite club of the Serie A for the last couple seasons. They are well coached and show a certain chemistry that leaves many teams bewildered when coming against them. In their last league match with Cagliari, they managed a solid 3-1 away win with a fine goal from Argentine striker Tevez, immediately followed by closing goals from Arturo Vidal and Llorente. At the end of the December schedule however, Juventus FC lost 2-2 in the Italian Cup to Napoli at home in a grueling match that finished in penalties. This blemish was surprising considering they are undefeated in regular Italian Serie A play at home over their last 35 games. They will be rested fully entering Tuesday’s clash with Inter after the break, and they will extend their winning streak against them following a 3-1 victory in Juventus Stadium last February. At home after 7 matches, Juventus have won 6 with 20 goals scored against a measly 4 allowed. They will utilize the talents of Giorgio Chiellini from the defensive side to put the stop on Inters counterattack, ultimately coming close to a shutout against the inferior visiting opponent. Expect through balls to put an end to Inters defensive hopes as Juventus’ striker Carlos Tevez puts this one away come the final whistle.
Inter team enter Tuesday’s clash at the Juventus Stadium with high hopes of turning around their season following the new year. Their last match was played over the break in a club friendly in Paris against French powerhouse PSG where they lost 0-1 in a close fought battle. Outside of this friendly, over their previous 3 competitive matches, Inter have not lost including a solid 2-0 away win in their last road match at Chievo Verona. This success isn’t going to help them in the tables much though as only 1 of these 3 games was a win. The return of former star manager Roberto Mancini has not paid off as nicely as fans originally hoped. It will take time to swing this squad in the right direction and the transfer window should help this talented young team so don’t be to quick to rule out Mancini being successful quite yet. Inter will need their brightest young striker, Mauro Icardi, to add to his 8 goals in 16 league games if they are to stand a chance against the likes of Juventus. With only 2 wins and 7 goals scored in 8 away league games, Inter will struggle as expected against the brass of the Italian League on Tuesday evening.

Juventus last 5 matches:
05/12/14 Fiorentina 0 – 0 Juventus
09/12/14 Juventus 0 – 0 Atlético Madrid
14/12/14 Juventus 1 – 1 Sampdoria
18/12/14 Cagliari 1 – 3 Juventus
22/12/14 Juventus 2 – 2 P Napoli

Valencia vs Real Madrid Spanish Primera División 04-01-2015

0 التعليقات
Valencia vs Real Madrid - Competition: Spanish Primera División

Valencia team have taken maximum points in 6 of their last 8 Primera Division home games this season, utilizing an exciting attack to thrill the Mestalla Stadium spectators and club loyalists alike. Outside of 2 drab affairs against Athletic Club (0:0) and FC Barcelona (0:1), the hosts have scored at least 3 goals in their other 6 home games, and the club manager will be delighted with their midyear report. Sitting in 4th place and occupying the final UCL place, last season’s 8th-place finisher will have a good chance to return to Europe if they continue in their solid form. However, they have 3 teams hounding them at just 1 point adrift, and the pressure has been mounting on Los Che. While they will take confidence from the fact that Paco Alcacer is firing with 4 goals from their last 5 competitive matches, the fixture list won’t be kind to them as they are paid a visit from the hottest team in Europe right now.
Real Madrid team will look to extend their all-time best 22-match competitive win streak this weekend. While they did lose to AC Milan in late December, that game was a club friendly and won’t be registered to their competitive streak, and Los Blancos were hardly utilized to their full strength in Dubai. The club has assembled a mass array of star-studded talent, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Gareth Bale, and they have smashed opponents with a shocking 55 goals through 15 league games as a result. With a 1-point lead in 1st place with a game in hand on their title-rivals, FC Barcelona, the visitors can do themselves a massive favor by securing the road victory this weekend. Los Che should be able to pose them a tough proposition at the Mestalla Stadium, but the fact of the matter is Los Blancos look like the strongest team in the world right now, and considering they have conquered the hosts in their last 5 league trips to Valencia, their record-breaking streak shouldn’t be ending this Sunday.
