Tottenham Hotspur vs Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Match date: 27 February 2014
Venue: White Hart Lane, England

Tottenham Hotspur eventually turned things around in that tie after grabbing an intense 3-1 victory over their opponent as Emmanuel Adebayor acted as hero with his two second half goals. It was not an easy task for the home side though as after a goalless first 45 minutes, they found themselves in deep trouble when Dnipro took a 1-0 lead through Roman Zozulya. Christian Eriksen leveled the score in that second leg tie with his free kick on 56 minutes, but the visitor are still leading 2-1 on aggregate.
Things suddenly turned into Spurs favor when Zozulyan got sent off on 62 minutes, taking full advantage over that situation, Spurs poured forward vigorously and got in front on 65 minutes from Adebayor's effort. Four minutes later, the home team completed their turned around in over the two leg as Adebayor completed his brace and carried his side into the next stage of Europa League.

Galatasaray vs Chelsea 26-02-2014 Champions League

0 التعليقات
Turk Telekom Arena, Istanbul will be hosting on 26 February 2014, an UEFA Champions League - 1st leg match between Galatasaray and Chelsea. The match referee will be Velasco (Spain).
Galatasaray got a narrow victory at home against Juventus and it made them reach to the last sixteen teams. In the league, they also defeated Besiktas with a single goal in the derby and chasing the league leaders. Coach Robert Mancini has no najor absent ahead of the first leg; but Aydin Yilmaz is missing because of his heavy injury. Some players are also unavailable as their names were not given to UEFA. The performances of Sneijder, Drogba and Burak Yilmaz are important for the Turkish side.
Chelsea   finished on the first place in their group, and sported only two losses (both against Basel). They come from a very important home win over Everton, because they remained at the leading position in the Premiership. They have been picking up steam with their performances despite being dumped out of the FA Cup by Manchester City.
Oscar is a slight doubt for the visitors after picking up a knock in the weekend win over Everton. David Luiz and Jon Obi Mikel are also major concerns after they were unavailable for that match. Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah are cup-tied.
Gala haven’t failed to score at home this season but along with Manchester United and Atletico Madrid, Chelsea conceded just three goals in the group stage and have been breached just once in their last five Premier League outings. Mancini was involved in a number of clashes with Chelsea during his time at Manchester City - winning six of nine meetings in all competitions .

Zenit vs Borussia Dortmund - Champions League February 25, 2014

0 التعليقات

Zenit St Petersburg vs Borussia Dortmund
Competition: UEFA Champions League

Zenit St Petersburg ended 2013 pretty bad, and ended with a 1-4-3 record counting from November. Spalletti’s men are level on points with Lokomotiv Moscow at the top of the Russian league but their league has winter break from December to March so Zenit St Petersburg are without competitive games. They have been inconsistent in recent friendlies. CSKA Moscow, Trans and Metalurh Donetsk all suffered defeats to Zenit, but the Russians were beaten by Shakhtar Donetsk and Metalist Kharkiv.
In the Champions League so far Zenit drew all three home games. That group was dominated by Atletico Madrid, Zenit St Petersburg finished second. They were lucky that both Porto and Austria Wien could only gain five points from their fixtures. Their last match, in all competitions, was the final game in the UCL group stages in which they lost 4-1 away to Austria Wien.
  • Probable lineups Zenit St Petersburg (4-4-2): Lodygin; Ansaldi, Lombaerts, Hubocan, Smolnikov; Danny, Arshavin, Witsel, Faizulin; Hulk, Kerzhakov.

The Russian club overbid BVB in the last minute of the transfer window for Salomon Rondon from Rubin Kazan. They also got Alexandr Ryanzantsev on a free transfer from Rubin Kazan. Spalletti will have a full squad to choose from barring any late fitness problems,.
Last season’s runners up are faltering in the Bundesliga this season, currently finding themselves 20 points behind leaders Bayern Munich. They defeated Werder Bremen 5-1 away before thrashing Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0 at home but their weekend in the Bundesliga did not fare well with a 3-0 away loss to Hamburger. In the Champions League so far Borussia Dortmund has lost to Napoli, but beaten Arsenal and Marseille away from home.
Klopp will have to make do without the services of Sven Bender for up to 10 weeks after he picked up an injury in their 3-0 Bundesliga defeat against Hamburg. Their defense and midfield are very weakened for this match, since Subotic and Błaszczykowski are definetely out, whilst Gündogan is doubtful too. More recently they have also lost Mats Hummels, who is listed as day to day and may be okay to play as well as Marko Reus.
  • Probable lineups Borussia Dortmund (4-1-3-1): Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Sokratis, M.Friedrich, Schmelzer – Sahin, Kehl – Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan, Reus – Lewandowski.

Match date: 23 February 2014
Venue: Comunale Luigi Ferraris, Italy

Rossoneri continue to dominate proceedings since that opener and should have add to their tally during that first 45 minutes as they created several excellent goal scoring chances that they failed to convert. Sampdoria tried to improve their performance after the break, but still having problems in containing Milan as the Red and Black squad doubling their lead on 58 minutes from Adil Rami's header. Things got harder for the host when they saw Maxi Lopez got sent of for his needless protests. The visitor hold on to their two goals lead and keeps on their positive run going.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich Champions League - February 19, 2014

0 التعليقات

Arsenal sit second in the Premier League table and qualified for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday. They have been especially impressive at the back at home so far with the defensive partnership of Koscielny and Mertesacker being in a perfect working order so far.
Anyway, following a 5-1 demolition by Liverpool the previous week and a nervy performance against Manchester United, Arsenal’s season appeared to be teetering on the edge of sliding to further disappointment.
Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla will be expected to come back into the starting line-up. Arteta is suspended for the clash, while new signing Kim Kallstrom, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Thomas Vermalen are all sidelined. Giroud is expected to start up front despite some personal problems.
The Bavarians come form a 4-0 win over Freiburg on Saturday. That win extended their advantage over the second-placed Bayer Leverkusen to 16 points. They have won each of their six games after the winter break, conceding just one goal in the process
Against Arsenal, Guardiola could go to a 4-1-4-1 system that he has deployed often this season and make the central midfield even beefier.Franck Ribery misses out as expected, along with Shaqiri and Badstuber.  Robben is the man to watch as he has scored six goals and has carded four assists in his last seven Champions League matches.
Arsenal have lost just three of their 18 Champions League knockout games at home but they have lost their last three home games against German sides.

Manchester City vs Barcelona Champions League 18 February 2014

0 التعليقات
Tuesday, 18 February 2014 19:45 GMT - 20:45 CET
Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom

Man City team enter the biggest match of their season thus far in a titanic clash with Spanish giants Barcelona. The Citizens have been prolific in attack this season, particularly at the Etihad Stadium where they've scored 42 goals and conceded just 9 in Premier League play. On Saturday, they sent a statement of their intent with a convincing 2-0 win over Chelsea in the English F.A. Cup. Assumed starters Yaya Toure, David Silva, Jesus Navas, and Negredo (including manager Manuel Pelligrini) all possess substantial experience with Barcelona, whether as friend or foe. However, first-choice striker Sergio Aguero is out as Pelligrini hopes to have his star man back for the 2nd leg at Camp Nou. The hosts will look to capitalize on Barcelona's defensive frailties, while remaining wise to the fact that they overstretched themselves (and were punished) against Bayern Munich at home in the group round.
  • Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy; Toure, Garcia; Nasri, Silva, J.Navas; Negredo.
FC Barcelona sent a statement of their own Saturday with a 6-0 thrashing of Rayo Vallecano in league play. Lionel Messi scored two goals in that one and appears to be returning to his best just in time for Tuesday's monumental clash. They've now lost just once in their last 18 games in all competitions, a run of good form that has propelled them to the top of La Liga. Furthermore, in Saturday's win Andres Iniesta enjoyed a good game, and while the competition will be far greater here on Tuesday, it's an encouraging sign for Barca supporters after the midfielder had hit a poor patch of form. Saturday also saw the return of Neymar from injury and he made an immediate impact with a delightful goal in the dying minutes. The Brazilian was purchased for games just like this, so that the opposing defence can't just key in on Messi. Nonetheless, he may start from the bench Tuesday night from a lack of match fitness, but watch for him in the 2nd half.
  • Barcelona (4-3-3): Valdes; Dani Alves, Puyol, Pique, Alba; Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta; Pedro, Messi, Sanchez.

Last Meeting: 19.08.2009, Barcelona - Manchester City 0:1

Italian Serie A: Fiorentina vs Inter Milan
Saturday, 15 February 2014 20:45 GMT - 20:45 pm CET
Stadium: Stadio Franchi, Florence, Italy

AC Fiorentina is celebrating their promotion to the Coppa Italia final. Doing that they managed to achieve first of their goals for this season. The second one is the Champions League. Because of the fact that the Coppa Italia Final will take place on Mai 3, Fiorentina can focus on the Seria A now and try to reach CL spot. To do that they will have to fight for it with SSC Napoli, which have 3 point more than they have right now. The place in Europa League is almost secure and the victory against Inter should even more ensure it and leave the direct opponent in the table even more behind. Very enthusiastic the fans and the experts received the information about Mario Gomez coming back into play. For Fiorentina it is great news especially for the future games and the struggle to win the Champions League spot.
Because of the last Serie A win against Sassuolo Inter Milan managed to jump on the 5 position in the league table, which guarantees play in the Europa League next season. However they are not secure yet. Hellas Verona - with the same amount of points but with the weaker goal balance - Parma and Torino (both with only 3 points behind) wait for Inter to slip up. Mazzari’s boys, besides win against Sassuolo, in four previous games managed to collect only 2 points, losing two matches - last against table leader, Juventus. In the upcoming game against AC Fiorentina - which is already 8 point ahead in the league table - will be tough for Inter Milan.

Possible line-ups:
Fiorentina: Neto – Diakite, Rodriguez, Savic – Cuadrado, Aquillani, Pizarro, Fernandez, Vargas – Ilicic – Matri.
Inter Milan: Handanovic – Rolando, Samuel, Juan – Jonathan, Guarin, Kuzmanovic, Hernanes, Nagatomo – Palacio, Milito.

Arsenal vs Manchester United EPL Wednesday, 12 February 2014

Arsenal vs Manchester United - Competition: 2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 26
Venue: Emirates Stadium, London, United Kingdom

Arsenal team enter their midweek clash with Man Utd in a state of uncertainty after what had looked like an opportunity to expand their league lead on Sunday against Liverpool, instead quickly turned into a nightmare. After just 20 minutes of play, they had conceded 4 goals to the ever-flowing Red attack, which was odd and unexpected considering their great defensive record this year. With Mesut Ozil in uncharacteristic poor form and injuries to two of the Gunners' top scoring options-Walcott and Ramsey-perhaps this letdown was inevitable. But the North London club will get an immediate opportunity to reverse their fortunes on Wednesday when non-local rivals Man United visit the Emirates Stadium. Good news comes in the form of young sensation Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who has returned from injury in inspiring form and may be handed the center midfield spot alongside Mikel Arteta. Tomas Rosicky is also expected to start and word around the Gunner faithful is he should be starting every game anyway. Furthermore, at home Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions, including 9 wins in that stretch, as well as going unbeaten in 11 league games following their opening day loss to Aston Villa. They've also recorded 10 shutouts in their last 11 matches at home (all competitions).
Probable lineups Arsenal: Szczesny – Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs – Wilshere, Arteta – Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Cazorla – Giroud.

Man United team can't seem to catch a break. After coming from behind in typical fashion and taking the lead from Fulham on Sunday 2-1, they managed to concede a last minute header to drop more expected points. Their title race is all but over and focus in the league will be on earning a top 4 finish, which makes this game a must-result after seeing a 9-point gap made between them and Liverpool. The arrival of Juan Mata in the transfer window and the return of van Persie and Rooney from injury was supposed to mean a turning point for David Moyes and Co., but it's been anything but with a win, a draw, and a loss in their last 3 league games. Furthermore, the Red Devils had been playing well away from Old Trafford but have just lost their last 2 games on the road. The bright spot for the Manchester club coming in is that Robin van Persie has scored every game he has faced his old club in (3 goals in 3) plus the visitors are unbeaten in their last 5 contests with Arsenal while winning 4 of those matches. Fellaini, Nani, and Evans are out.
Probable lineups Manchester United: De Gea – Rafael , Smalling , Vidic , Evra – Carrick , Cleverley – Mata , Rooney, Januzaj – van Persie.

Arsenal – Mikel Arteta (pen) 69'

Arsenal were hammered in the opening 20 minutes of the game against Liverpool and their title challenge took a massive blow when Liverpool ran riot in first half against Arsenal. Martin Skrtel opened the scoring for the home side and he quickly doubled the lead with 10 minutes and Liverpool were up and running with a 2-0 lead in opening 10 minutes. They kept pressing arsenal who in result melted under pressure and Liverpool created chance after chance and it took them 17th minute when they scored another to make it 3-0 as Sterling tapped the ball in.

SSC Napoli vs AC Milan Italian Serie A 08-02-2014

SSC Napoli vs AC Milan - Competition: Italian Serie A

SSC Napoli will look to overcome their last week’s defeat against Atlanta where they lost 3-0. Rafa Benitez's men have been having their ups and downs this season and, as a result, they are 15 points adrift of league leaders Juventus ahead of Saturday's clash against Milan. In midweek the team suffered a 3-2 defeat at Roma in Coppa Italia semi-finals, first leg.Mesto and Zuniga are long term injuries for Napoli and also Reveillere has muscles concerns so Ghoulam will likely be in the starting lineups. Behrami is fit but will sit on the bench. Mertens is expected to feature along with Callejon and Hamsik as support for the lone striker Higuain.
Probable lineups SSC (4-2-3-1): Reina; Maggio, Albiol, Fernandez, Ghoulam; Dzemaili, Jorginho; Callejon, Hamsik, Mertens; Higuain.

AC Milan have struggled away from home winning just 2 of the their last 11 away games in the league but Clarence Seedorf has overseen something of a resurgence since taking over as Milan coach, with his side having taken seven points from the last nine available.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid 3-0 Highlights 05.02.2014 Copa del Rey

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid - Competition: Spanish Copa del Rey
Match date: 5 February 2014
Venue: Santiago Bernabeu, Spain

Real Madrid 3-0 Atletico Madrid (Copa del Rey)
17' (o.g.) Emiliano Insua 1-0 // 57' Jesé Rodriguez 2-0 // 73' (o.g.) Miranda 3-0

That match become very feisty with both teams making tons of naughty fouls, creating dramatic scenes on the pitch which saw players getting into arguments against each others. In the second period, that tension boiled even more, but it seems that Madrid were much more prepared with that situation as they were able to extend their lead on 57 minutes with an attempt from Jese Rodriguez. Carlo Ancelotti's men eventually sealed their victory in that encounter through Angel Di Maria's deflected effort on 73 minutes.

AS Roma vs SSC Napoli 04-02-2014 Coppa Italia

0 التعليقات
After starting 2014 with a demoralising 3-0 defeat against runaway leaders Juventus, the "Giallorossi" have been spurred into life with five consecutive victories. They have registered 11 home wins in 13 games this season and just two goals conceded. Roma did remarkably well to eliminate Juventus in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup and they are certainly brimming with confidence ahead of the Napoli game.
Daniele De Rossi and Kevin Strootman have both overcome from their respective injuries. As Dodò and Federico Balzaretti are injured, Vasilis Torosidis is expected to start at left-back, while Miralem Pjanic faces a late fitness test. Roma's last round of Serie A against Parma was postponed due to a bad weather so they will be fresher than opponents.
Third-placed Napoli suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat at Atalanta last Sunday and now they took just two points from last three league fixtures. Rafael Benitez put himself forward for much of the blame with a bit of the famed Rafa rotation, benching Marek Hamsik and Gonzalo Higuain with this Coppa fixture in mind.
The visitors are likely to be without long-term absentees Behrami, Zuniga and Mesto. New signings Henrique and Faouzi Ghoulam could play some part.
Napoli have only managed two victories in the last seven on the road, losing the two clashes against Roma held at the Stadio Olimpico in the past 12 months.

Possible line-ups:
AS Roma (4-3-3): De Sanctis – Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Torosidis – Nainggolan, De Rossi, Strootman – Florenzi, Totti, Gervinho.
SSC Napoli (4-2-3-1): Reina – Maggio, Britos, Albiol, Ghoulam – Inler, Jorginho – Insigne, Hamsik, Mertens – Higuain.

Manchester City vs Chelsea Premier League February 3, 2014

Manchester City vs Chelsea - Competition: 2013/2014 English Premier League, Round 24
Match date: Monday, 03 February 2014

Etihad Stadium - Mancheste will be hosting on 03 February 2014, an English Premier League, Round 24 match between Manchester City and Chelsea FC. The match referee will be Michael Dean.
Man City can't lose at the moment. Currently enjoying a run of 20 unbeaten that includes 18 victories, the Citizens have leaped Arsenal for first place in the Premier League table. Furthermore, they've won every league game this year at the Etihad Stadium with an astonishing rate of 42 goals scored to just 8 conceded. They will face arguably their toughest test at home this Monday when Chelsea come to town, but it's an opportunity to put some distance between one of their main title contenders. However, the Blues have already managed a 2-1 victory this season over the Citizens at Stamford Bridge, and with Sergio Aguero out, the going won't be easy for Pellegrini's men. But over the duration of the full 90 minutes, Man City seem to possess too much firepower and quality to be denied all three points.
Probable lineups Manchester City: Hart – Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy –Navas, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Silva – Negredo, Dzeko.

Chelsea team enter Monday's massive clash in fine form themselves, going unbeaten in their last 9 games in all competitions, while only losing one of their last 13 league games. This form has seen them up to 3rd place, just 3 points adrift Man City, and Jose Mourinho will be desperate to avoid a loss and the consequential 6 point gap it would leave between the sides. The manager would love to come away with a draw here and is likely to play a more defensive game, while counterattacking with Hazard and Willian on the wings. This tactic has worked in their other away games against top competition, as seen in their draws with Arsenal, Man United, and Tottenham. But the Manchester City attack offers something more at the moment than any other club, and we suspect a bit of luck will be needed for Chelsea to grab a result here. You could justify going either way in this one, but in the end it seems that with the home field advantage, the Citizens will prove too much.
Probable lineups Chelsea: Cech – Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta – Mikel, Ramires – Willian, Oscar, Hazard – Eto’o.

Kick Off Time: 20:00 GMT - 21:00 CET
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom

Juventus vs Inter Milan 02-02-2014 Italian Serie A

0 التعليقات

Juventus Stadium (Torino) will be hosting on 2nd February, 2014, an Italy, Serie A, Game week 22nd match between Juventus and Internazionale.
Juventus march at the head of Italian Serie A. With 56 points they are 1st. The second AS Roma lose to the Bianconeri 6 points. The gap between them and their derby d’Italia opponent, Inter Milan, is as many as 23 points. Juventus lost their last league match in October, when they had to acknowledge Fiorentina’s superiority. Since then, they have dropped points only once – last week when their Lazio game ended in a draw. Yet, a defeat at Coppa Italia happened to them on the last but one match – 1:0 against AS Roma. Looking at the statistics (particularly the home records) there is nothing to find fault with them; 10 wins in 10 games, no draws, no losses, 30 goals scored, only 6 conceded and 6 games with a clean sheet. The average goal scored record for home games is 3,00 per match.
Inter Milan sit now fifth in the table. They must be aware of the situation behind them – three sides, Torino, AC Parma and Verona are only one point behind them. It is extremely important since their fifth place is the last that guarantees the participation in UEFA Europa League. For Mazzarri’s side there seems to be little chances they will play the Champions League qualifiers – to Napoli, the third position, they are now losing 11 points. Inter did not start the year 2014 in a successful way. So far this month they have on their account 2 losses and 2 draws. When it comes to their away games record, they won only 3 out of ten. Against Juventus, the Nerazzurri will play without their vice-captain, Esteban Cambiasso, who got an injury during last Sunday’s game with Catania.

Possible line ups:
Juventus (3-5-2): Storari; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez, Llorente
Inter Milan (3-5-1-1): Handanovic; Campagnaro, Rolando, J. Jesus; Jonathan, Kovacic, Kuzmanovic, Taider, Nagatomo; Alvarez; Palacio.

Man United should really prepare for the worse possibilities, as their slight chance in joining current title race continue to get tougher after suffering a disappointing away defeat against Stoke. The home side got in front on 38 minutes from Charlie Adam' effort, but that lead was canceled out early in the second period by Robin Van Persie, who scored on 47 minutes.
