Arsenal vs Chelsea 24-01-2016 English Premier League

0 التعليقات

Arsenal vs Chelsea
Competition: Premier League
Date: 24 January 2016 - Time: 16:00 GMT
Venue: Emirates Stadium, London

Top of the English Premier League, 13 places and 19 points ahead of their opponents, Arsenal team enter this match on the back of two consecutive draws - 3:3 at Liverpool and 0-0 at Stoke. Arsene Wenger's men are the 2nd best home side in the division, picking up 23 points from their ten home games. The Gunners have scored 16 and conceded just four in their last eight home league games.
Theo Walcott looks set to continue on the left of the attacking midfield trio in Wenger’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation, with Joel Campbell perhaps getting the nod ahead of Chamberlain on the right. The back four of Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal should remain unchanged. Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are both fit to play some part. Mohamed Elneny is still awaiting his Arsenal debut with fellow midfielder Francis Coquelin back in training but will not feature, nor will Welbeck, Santi Cazorla or Jack Wilshere.
Chelsea team are unbeaten since sacking Mourinho but they have failed to climb the standings as they have recorded just one victory in their last five games in the EPL. They laso have recorded back to back draws in the last two fixtures - 2:2 to West Brom and 3-3 to Everton - both at home. Furthermore, the Blues have won just twice on the road in the league so far this campaign – losing five of their 10 matches in the process.
Both Costa and Hazard are doubtful. The Spaniard suffered a bruised shin against Everton while the Belgian has missed the last three games with a groin injury. Pedro looks the most likely to make way should Hazard be handed a start, while Oscar will be looking to earn a recall. Branislav Ivanovic and Cesar Azpilicueta are expected to continue in the full-back positions while Radamel Falcao remains out.
Arsenal have lost five and drawn three of the eight league meetings against Chelsea since their 5-3 win over four years ago. Anyway, three of the last four league meetings between the teams have resulted in draws. In six of the last seven meetings between these two sides under 2.5 goals has been a winner. In this campaign, Arsenal have conceded just six league goals at the Emirates Stadium this season while Chelsea have managed only 11 goals on their travels.

Arsenal last 5 matches:

Lazio vs Juventus Coppa Italia - January 20, 2016

0 التعليقات
Lazio vs Juventus - Competition: Coppa Italia

Lazio Rome team enter this match off the back of a 2-2 draw with Bologna in Italian Serie A at the weekend. Although they are unbeaten in the last seven games, the Biancocelesti, who beat Inter a couple of weeks ago, are 9th in the Serie A table with only 28 points in 20 matches. In the previous Coppa Italia round, the Eagles had to come from behind as they were pushed hard by fellow Serie A side Udinese in a 2-1 success.
Stefano Pioli should prefer Klose rather than Filip Djordjevic as central forward, while Felipe Anderson and Candreva are likely to play out wide. Dusan Basta, Federico Marchetti and Santiago Gentiletti all miss out. They have joined the likes of De Vrij, Kishna and Morrison on the sidelines.
Juventus have recorded an incredible 11 wins in the last 11 matches in all domestic competitions and they now sit 2nd in the Serie A standings, just two points behind league leaders Napoli. Their most recent league match saw the Old Lady hammering 4-0 Udinese. In the Coppa Italia, the Bianconeri eased past Torino with a 4-0 victory in the last round.
In-form Paulo Dybala should be rested by Massimiliano Allegri as the Italian manager should play with Morata and Zaza up front. Paul Pogba is expected to start after he was benched last time out in Udine. The likes of Norberto Neto, Martin Caceres and Juan Cuadrado are all expected to be in the starting XI. Andrea Barzagli is doubtful and he will be monitored ahead of the kick-off, while Roberto Pereyra and Mario Lemina are both sidelined with injury.
Juventus team have won 2-0 their last encounter with Lazio Rome last month thanks to an own goal from Santiago Gentiletti and one from Dybala. Having also defeated the Biancocelesti in the 2014/2015 Coppa Italia final, the Bianconeri clearly hold a serious psychological advantage over the opposition.

Probable lineups:
Lazio: Berisha – Konko, Bisevac, Hoedt, Radu – Cataldi, Onazi, Lulic – Candreva, Matri, Anderson.
Juventus: Neto – Caceres, Rugani, Chiellini – Cuadrado, Pogba, Sturaro, Hernanes, Evra – Zaza, Morata.

Liverpool vs Manchester United Premier League - January 17, 2016

Liverpool vs Manchester United
Competition: English Premier League
Date: 17 January 2016 - Time: 14:05 GMT
Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool team scored a last-gasp leveller to secure a 3-3 home draw to leaders Arsenal on Wednesday night. The Reds' form in Premier League has been patchy, with two wins, two draws and two defeats from their last six league games. They sit ninth in the table, three points behind Van Gaal's men.
We may see Jurgen Klopp name a very similar starting XI to the one that held Arsenal in midweek with Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Jordon Ibe upfront and midfield trio of Henderson, Can and Milner. The likes of Joe Allen and pushing for a start in midfield but they are both expected to be benched. Steven Caulker could be in line to make his first start for Liverpool as Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtell are still out injured. Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Danny Ings remain sidelined, while Daniel Sturridge is still edging his way to full fitness.
On Tuesday, Manchester United were denied a third consecutive win in all competitions at the start of 2016 as they drew 3-3 at Newcastle. The Red Devils are only two points off a Champions League spot, but there is a sense of discontent around Old Trafford as they are not dominating games that they arguably should.
Bastian Schweinsteiger remains a huge doubt for the trip to Anfield, Michael Carrick is out injured and this means that Marouane Fellaini or Ander Herrera could partner Schneiderlin in midfield. Juan Mata was rested on Tuesday night, and could return to the offensive midfield trio alongside Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. The back four of Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian may remain unchanged. Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia remain sidelined.
The Red Devils have dominated the most recent meetings between the pair as they have won their last 4 matches against Liverpool in all competitions, scoring at least 2 goals in each of those games. The Red Devils sealed a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford earlier this season and they snatched a 2-1 league win at Anfield in the 2014-15 season.

Probable lineups:
Liverpool: Mignolet – Clyne, Caulker, Sakho, Moreno – Henderson, Emre Can, Milner – Ibe, Firmino, Lallana.
Manchester United: de Gea – Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Young – Carrick, Schneiderlin – Mata, Herrera, Martial – Rooney.

Liverpool last 5 matches:
30/12/15 Sunderland 0 – 1 Liverpool
02/01/16 West Ham 2 – 0 Liverpool
05/01/16 Stoke City 0 – 1 Liverpool
08/01/16 Exeter City 2 – 2 Liverpool
13/01/16 Liverpool 3 – 3 Arsenal

Manchester United last 5 matches:
26/12/15 Stoke City 2 – 0 Manchester United
28/12/15 Man United 0 – 0 Chelsea
02/01/16 Manchester United 2 – 1 Swansea City
09/01/16 Manchester Utd 1 – 0 Sheffield United
12/01/16 Newcastle 3 – 3 Man United

Roma vs AC Milan Italian Serie A - 09-01-2016

0 التعليقات

AS Roma vs AC Milan
Competition: Italian Serie A
Date: 9 January 2016 - Time: 19:45 GMT
Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Roma

AS Roma team were held to a 3-3 draw at Chievo in midweek and they are now six points of Serie A leaders Inter. Pressure is mounting on manager Rudi Garcia as the Giallorossi have now only won once in nine matches in all competitions since beating Lazio in the Derby della Capitale on 8 November, a run which included a 6-1 hammering by Barcelona and a shock Coppa Italia exit to Spezia. Anyway, they have a commendable record on home turf, with just one Serie A defeat at the Stadio Olimpico this season.
Former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is still suspended while Seydou Keita, Kevin Strootman and Salih Ucan are all set to miss the match. The Nigerian sensation Umar Sadiq has scored two goals in as many games and this should grant him another starting berth. Radja Nainggolan and De Rossi are fully recovered and are expected to start in midfield.
Milan were beaten 0-1 at home against relegation-threatened Bologna team in midweek and now find themselves in seventh place at the moment. The Devils are 11 points off the top and 10 off a Champions League spot and their away record is really poor having won just once on their last 10 matches.
Kevin-Prince Boateng will make the trip for the first time with his new club but is expected to be benched. Luiz Adriano and Bacca will lead the line with Bonaventura and Honda deployed as wingers. Juraj Kucka will replace Riccardo Montolivo in the middle of the park. The likes of Cerci, Balotelli, Menez and Alex are sidelined.
The Rossoneri have won only once over their last 10 visits to Roma. Three of the last six meetings at the Olimpico between AS Roma and Milan have ended 0-0. The last Serie A meeting between these two took place in May with Marco van Ginkel and Mattia Destro giving AC Milan a 2-1 success.

Probable lineups:
Roma (4-3-3): Szczesny: Florenzi, Manolas, Rudiger, Digne; Nainggolan, De Rossi, Pjanic; Gervinho, Sadiq, Iago Falque.
AC Milan (4-4-2): Donnarumma; Abate, Mexes, Romagnoli, De Sciglio; Honda, Kucka, Bertolacci, Bonaventura; Luiz Adriano, Bacca..

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Premier League - January 03, 2016

0 التعليقات

Crystal Palace team are flying high as they currently sit 5th in the standings, four points behind fourth-placed Tottenha,. The Eagles are unbeaten in their last six matches (3 wins, 3 draws) but they have recorded two goalless draws in a row against Bournemouth and Swansea City respectively.
Yohan Cabaye picked up his fifth booking of the campaign and will miss the match due to suspension and should be replaced by Jordan Mutch. Alan Pardew confirmed Damian Delaney was rested on Monday, so he appears likely to replace Brede Hangeland alongside Scott Dann in central defence. Marouane Chamakh and Frazier Campbell are in contention for a starting berth up front. Both Yannick Bolasie and Bakary Sako remain ruled out through injury, so Jason Puncheon and Jo-Wilfried Zaha will start out wide.
Chelsea team have drawn two of their three matches since Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager. They have shared four goals with Watford at Stamford Bridge and played out a 0-0 draw with Man United at Old Trafford during the festivities. they have failed to win their last 7 away matches in the English Premier League.
After serving his suspension, Costa is expected to lead the line as Loic Remy remains a major doubt for the trip to Selhurst Park and Radamel Falcao is unlikely to feature because of a thigh injury. Pedro perhaps is the most likely to drop out of the starting XI, with Hazard reverting back to his usual position on the left flank. At the back, Hiddink may restore Cahill alongside Terry if fit.
The Eagles won 2-1 when these two sides locked horns at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign, with Joel Ward getting a late winner. The corresponding fixture last term saw both sides reduced to 10 men in the first half before Chelsea FC went on to pick up a 2-1 victory.
