Boxing Day: Manchester United vs Sunderland Premier League - 26-12-2016

0 التعليقات

Manchester United vs Sunderland - Competition: English Premier League
Date: 26 December 2016 - Kick-off Time: 15:00 GMT - 16:00 CET
Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

Manchester United team have kick-started their EPL campaign since the start of the month with three straight victories extending their unbeaten run to eight games. Last weekend the Red Devils beat West Brom on the travels (0:2) courtesy of a brace scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. United are now 6th in the Premier League standings 4 points below Arsenal in 4th. In terms of direct matches, they have won 6 of their last 7 home encounters against Sunderland in all competitions.
Luke Shaw is United’s only absentee as both Eric Bailly and Mkhitaryan are back in contention. Jose Mopurinho will be tempted to name the starting XI that started against WBA, with Michael Carrick stationed in front of the back four, leaving Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba in central midfield. Up front, Wayne Rooney has started in each their last two matches after a time on the bench and may keep his place in the team on Boxing Day with Anthony Martial still out in the cold. As usual, Zlatan will spearhead the attack.
Sunderland picked up a valuable 1-0 win over Watford at the weekend but have been dire on the road this season. The Black Cats have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches and have also failed to score in 5 of these 6 games. David Moyes' men endured their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign, and although the Black Cats have improved lately, they now sit in 18th spot in the Premier League table, one point below the safe zone.
Adnan Januzaj is ineligible to face his parent club while Steven Pienaar and BIlli Jones are also a question mark ahead of this clash. David Moyes is likely to field a 4-5-1 formation with Jermaine Defoe as lone striker and the likes of Fabio Borini and Victor Anichebe as offensive wingers. Didier Ndong and Jason Denayer look set to keep their places in central midfield. Jack Rodwell, Paddy McNair, Jan Kirchhoff, Lee Cattermole, Duncan Watmore and Lynden Gooch are all ruled out.

Probable lineups:
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Darmian, Rojo, Jones, Valencia; Carrick, Herrera; Rooney, Pogba, Mata; Ibrahimovic.
Sunderland (4-5-1): Pickford; Love, Konè, Djilobodji, Van Aanholt; Ndong, Denayer, Pienaar, Borini, Anichebe; Defoe.

Manchester United vs Tottenham - Competition: Premier League

Manchester United team come into this game six points behind Sunday's opponents. They have drawn their last 4 home matches and enter this match on the back of a 1-1 away draw against Everton. Anyway, they beat Zorya Luhansk (0:2 in Ukraine) on Thursday and advanced to the knock-out stage in Europa League. The Red Devils have not won back-to-back games in all competitions since September but they have a good record in direct matches as they are undefeated in 19 of their last 21 home matches against Tottenham in all competitions.
Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw are the only injury concerns for Jose Mourinho. After playing 90 minutes on Thursday night, Eric Bailly could be set to start for this clash. Michael Carrick, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia were among the rested players in midweek and will return to the starting XI here. Ibrahimovic is expected to lead the line once again. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial are the favourites to start out wide, although Mourinho has a wealth of options to choose from, including Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford.
Tottenham team have lost just once in League this campaign and come fresh off a 5-0 hammering of Swansea at White Hart Lane last weekend to get themselves back in the mood to challenge the top four. They also recorded 3-1 home win in the mid-week Champions League game against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, which guaranteed a place in the Europa League knockout stages. Spurs have posted a W2 D4 L1 record out on the road this season, but they lost their last away game which was out at rivals Chelsea.
Toby Alderweireld returned from a leg injury to play 22 minutes on Wednesday night and could start here. Mousa Dembélé was rested on Wednesday but will start in the middle of the park. Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min could then operate in the advanced midfield positions behind lone striker Harry Kane. The likes of Sissoko, Harry and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou provide alternative options Erik Lamela and Vincent Janssen are still sidelined, but Ben Davies has returned to training and is back in contention.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund - Champions League 2016-17
Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid, Spain
Wednesday, December 7 2016 - 8:45 PM - 20:45 CET

Real Madrid, who are yet lose a UCL match this season, currently sit 2nd in the group table with 11 points (W3 D2) and trail leaders Dortmund by two points. Hence, they have the chance to leapfrog the German outfit with a victory. The direct match played in Germany resulted in 2-2 draw at Dortmund’s home soil. Los Blancos' unbeaten start to the season continued on Saturday as a 90th minute Sergio Ramos equaliser earned them a point in El Clasico against FC Barcelona, a draw that kept Zidane's men at the top of La Liga BBVA standings with a 6 points gap over the Blaugrana.
Toni Kroos and Alvaro Morata have both resumed training but they are expected to sit on the bench for this crucial match. Right backs Danilo and Fabio Coentrao are both doubtful. Gareth Bale is the only long-term absentee for the hosts as the Welshman will be on the sidelines for the next 4 months. Lucas Vazquez is set to replace Bale with Zidane expected to make minimal changes to the side who started at the Camp Nou at the weekend.
Borussia Dortmund team recorded an impressive 4-1 win over Monchengladbach on Saturday to bounce back from their away defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt the previous week. They have not been quite as reliable with two domestic losses on the road and only  one clean sheet away from home this season, but their Champions League form has been very impressive. In Europe, Dortmund lead Group F table with 13 points, having won four and drawn one out of their five group matches played so far.
Mario Gotze who misses the trip to Spain through injury. The German international has joined Roman Burki, Raphael Guerreiro and Sven Bender on the sidelines. Marco Reus will be assessed tomorrow after he came down with a cold. Aubameyang is likelty to spearhead the attack in a 4-1-4-1 formation which will also inclued Ousmane Dembelè and Shinji Kagawa among the offensive midfielders. Neven Subotic is still recovering from injury and is unlikely to feature, along with Marcel Schmelzer, Raphael Guerreiro and Erik Durm who are all doubtful.

Probable lineups:
Real Madrid: Navas – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Casemiro, Modric – Vazquez, Isco, C.Ronaldo – Benzema.
Borussia Dortmund: Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Sokratis, Ginter, Schmelzer – Weigl – Castro, Dembele, M.Gotze, Schurrle(Reus) – Aubameyang.

Manchester United vs West Ham Premier League - 27-11-2016

Manchester United vs West Ham United
Competition: English Premier League

After a comfortable 4-0 win against Feyenoord in UEL, Manchester United team will look to replicate their dominating performance. The Red Devils were very impressive against Arsenal too, and should have been further in front when Olivier Giroud's 89th-minute equaliser secured a 1-1 draw. Their home form is largely encouraging - as they only lost against Man City so far, and they have won five of their last eight home matches in all competitions. They sit 6th in the Premier League, 9 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Ibrahimovic will return to the side after last weekend's match through suspension. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has given Jose Mourinho a real headache after flourishing in midweek's game and the Armenia international could replace Marcus Rashford in the offensive midfield trio, alongside Paul Pogba and Juan Mata. Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones look fairly certain starters in defence, but Daley Blind and Luke Shaw could challenge Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian for starting spots elsewhere in the back four. Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling both remain on the sidelines.
West Ham United team enter this clash on te back of 3-2 derby defeat at Tottenham last weekend, their fifth loss in the last six league matches. Furthermore, Salven Bilic's men have lost 6 of their last 7 away league matches in Premier League and
they conceded at least two goals in all five of those defeats. Only Hull have conceded more goals than the Hammers this season.
The Hammers can welcome back captain Mark Noble from suspension but Winston Reid is banned as he was sent out last weekend. James Collins looks set to earn a recall alongside Cheikhou Kouyate and Angelo Ogbonna in defence. Up front, Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew are in contention for a starting berth while Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet are likely to start as offensive midfielders with Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell deployed as wing backs. Sam Byram, Reece Oxford and Gokhan Tore remain sidelined.

Italy vs Finland International Friendly - June 06, 2016

0 التعليقات

Italy vs Finland
Competition: International Friendly
Date: Monday 6th June 2016
Time: 7:45pm - 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi, Verona (Italy)

Italy team topped their Euro 2016 qualification group by 4 points away from second placed Croatia with an unbeaten record of 7 wins and 3 draw. The Azzurri narrowly beat Scotland 1-0 in their last International Friendly outing in Malta last Sunday, dominating possession but struggling to take chances. That result ended a streak of six friendlies without a victory as draws against Romania and Spain were sandwiched by comprehensive defeats to Belgium and Germany.
Ciro Immobile and Simone Zaza are expected to replace Graziano Pellè and Eder up front. Stefan El Shaarawy and Candreva will probably support the attack while Daniele De Rossi, Stefano Sturaro and Thiago Motta will play in the middle of the park. In defense, Leonardo Bonucci is likely to be rested and Rugani should replace his team-mate.
Finland team missed out on qualification to Euro 2016 after finishing behind Northern Ireland, Romania and Hungary in a very weak group. Anyway, they posted an impressive draw against Belgium in their last friendly fixture on Wednesday. Their major weakness is the attacking play - Hans Backe's men have scored just one goal in their last five matches.
Sampdoria's Niklas Moisander, Finland's regular captain, missed five matches due to injury late in the Serie A season and was not selected by Backe. Perparim Hetemaj and Eremenko will be the key players in midfield, while former Celtic striker Teemu Pukki will lead the line.
Italy are undefeated against Finland in their previous ten games, they are currently on a 6 game winning streak against the Finnish national team.

Probable lineups:
Italy: Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini – Candreva, Florenzi, Motta, Giaccherini, Darmian – Pelle, Insigne.
Finland: Hradecky – Arkivuo, Arajuuri, Toivio, Raitala – Ring, Sparv, Hetemaj, Lod – Eremenko, Hamalainen.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid Champions League Final - 28-05-2016

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid
Competition: UEFA Champions League Final
Date: Saturday, 28 May 2016 - Time: 19:45 BST
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milano

Real Madrid team finished as runners up to Barcelona, just one point in arrears. They won 28 of 38 league games, drawing six and losing four with 110 goals scored and 34 conceded. The Blancos have had to overcome one major hurdle en-route to Milan. A 2-0 defeat at Wolfsburg left Zinedine Zidane’s men on the brink of crashing out in the quarter-finals, but a Cristiano Ronaldo's second-leg hat-trick that sent the Merengues into the semi-finals where they  knocked out Man City. Locked away at 0-0 after their clash at the Etihad, Real came through in a tight affair at the Bernabéu with a dramatic 1-0 victory.
Cristiano Ronaldo limped off the pitch during Tuesday’s training session but the Portugues start is expected to be fully fit for the final. Raphael Varane will miss the final and Euro 2016 with a thigh injury. Otherwise Zinedine Zidane can select his strongest XI. Gareth Bale and Benzema will partner Ronaldo upfront while Casemiro, Modric and Toni Kroos will start in midfield.
Atletico Madrid finished third in the standings, three points adrift of champions FC Barcelona and just two behind Real. They won 28 of 38 league games, drawing four and losing six with 63 goals scored. They have overcome two world class teams in Barcelona and Bayern Munich en route to the finals and they conceded just 18 goals in La Liga – one of the best records on the entire continent. It's very hard to play a scintillating football against this Atletico and they are one of the toughest team to beat in today's football.
The Colchoneros have no players missing through injury or suspension and Diego Simeone is likely to select the same XI that started against Celta Vigo in their last league match. Midfielders Koke and Augusto Fernandez are in contention to start alongside Gabi in the middle of the park while Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres are expected to lead the line.
This season, the Colchoneros have already frustrated Real on two occasions. In October, the first came when Simeone's men snatched a 1-1 draw at the Vicente Calderon, while the second occurred when they beat the Galacticos 1-0 at their own turf. The last four meetings between the sides had witnessed under 2.5 goals. Half of these sides’ last 12 matches have ended level.
In 2014, the Madrid rivals met in Lisbon when Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid won their 10th UCL trophy. A Sergio Ramos goal on 93 minutes dashed Atléti’s hopes and sent the game to extra time, where Real Madrid scored three in the last 10 minutes to win 4-1.

Probable lineups:
Atletico Madrid: Oblak – Juanfran, Gimenez, Lucas Hernandez, Filipe Luis – Gabi, A.Fernandez, Saul Niguez, Koke – Griezmann, F.Torres.
Real Madrid: Navas – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Modric, Casemiro, Kroos – Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.

Date: 21 May 2016 - Time: 19:45 BST
Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Roma

Having finished 7th in the Italian Serie A standings, Milan require a Coppa Italia triumph in order avoid a third straight season without European football. The untested manager Cristian Brocchi has seen the Rossoneri show little improvement in his six matches in charge with just two wins to his name. They succumbed to a 1-3 defeat at home against AS Roma last weekend and have no chance to beat Juventus with a such poor performance.
Cristian Brocchi will be missing left-back Luca Antonelli with a leg injury while right-back Ignazio Abate is listed as doubtful. M'Baye Niang could be in contention after almost three months out. Alessio Romagnoli and Davide Calabria are expected to start in midfield, while Giacomo Bonaventura and Keisuke Honda are likely support Carlos Bacca and Mario Balotelli in attack.
Juventus team claimed a record-equalling fifth consecutiveScudetto this season and signed off on their 2015/16 Italian Serie A campaign with an emphatic 5-0 win at home against Sampdoria last weekend. They have won 24 of their last 25 league fixtures before a surprising defeat to Hellas Verona two weeks ago.
Allegri is unable to count upon key centre-back Leonardo Bonucci due to suspension while midfielder Sami Khedira is still out through injury. Patrice Evra and Alex Sandro fighting out for a spot on the left flank, while Stefano Sturaro could be given a start in the middle of the park. Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic are likely to lead the line. Claudio Marchisio is a long-term absentee.
In recent meeting between the two sides, Juventus has won 7 consecutive matches. The Rossoneri lost both encounters with Juventus this season, going down 1-0 in Turin before a 2-1 defeat at San Siro.

Liverpool vs Sevilla Europa League Final - 18-05-2016

Liverpool vs Sevilla - Competition: UEFA Europa League Final

For the second time in his first season as Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp will lead his side out for a major final. Last time they came up short, losing a penalty shootout in the COC Final. The Reds just ended a disappointing domestic campaign that saw them finish 8th in the table, so this is their last chance to win silverware this season. Their UEL form remains solid and they produced a sensational fightback to oust bookmakers favourites Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals and knocked out Manchester United and Villarreal on the road to Basel.
Kolo Toure will partner Lovren at the back, Can and Milner will start in midfield and Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge will make up an exciting attacking unit. Mamadou Sakho is ruled out through suspension while Divock Origi suffered an ankle ligament injury in the Merseyside Derby last month and will miss the match. The likes of Joe Gomez, Danny Ings and Jordan Rossiter all miss out for the Reds.
Saturday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao means that Sevilla side ended the season seventh in La Liga, eight points behind the final Europa League qualification spot. Unai Emery's have been the dominant force in this competition, winning the UEFA Europa League in the last two years and no less than four times over the past decade. Anyway, Sevilla team outfit  failed to win in their last nine league matches and ended the season with no wins in win any of their away games in La Liga, collecting just nine points. Furthermore, they lost all three of their group stage games in the UEFA Champions League and won just one of their four away Europa League matches, losing to Norwegian side Molde.
Gameiro is expected to lead the line in a 4-2-3-1 formation, while Coke, Banega and Vitolo are likely to play as offensive midfielders. Former Stoke City Steven N'Zonzi and Grzegorz Krychowiak will start in the middle of the park. Michael Krohn-Dehli recently sustained a horrific knee injury and misses out, with Jose Antonio Reyes joining the Dane on the sidelines. Benoit Tremoulinas is missing with a knee injury as well as former Inter defender Marco Andreolli.

Probable lineups:
Liverpool: Mignolet – Clyne, K. Toure, Lovren, Moreno – Lallana, E.Can, Milner, Coutinho – Roberto Firmino, Sturridge.
Sevilla: Soria – Mariano, Carrico, A. Rami, Escudero – N’Zonzi, Krychowiak – Coke, Banega, Vitolo – Gameiro.

Tottenham vs Southampton
Competition: Premier League
Date: 8 May 2016 - Time: 13:30 BST
Venue: White Hart Lane, London

Monday night’s 2-2 draw away against Chelsea team decisively ended Tottenham’s hopes of winning the title. They must now refocus because they suddenly find themselves fighting to retain second place in the table. Bitter rivals Arsenal are just three points behind them. Spurs have won 10 and lost just one of their last 15 English Premier League fixtures (D4). Furthermore, they have won six of their last nine in the league at White Hart Lane.
Nabil Bentaleb remains the only absentee from Tottenham's first-team squad while Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele are both suspended. Ryan Mason could deputise alongside Eric Dier in the double-pivot, with Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela likely to form the attacking midfield trio behind lone striker Harry Kane once again. Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld are both available after recovering from injuries picked last time out.
Southampton team come into this fixture off the back of a hugely impressive 4-2 victory at home against Man City last weekend. They have only lost to leaders Leicester in their last eight matches and they are chasing European football for next season as back-to-back wins has moved them to within three points of Man United, albeit having played a game more.
Boss Ronald Koeman could name an unchanged side as Florin Gardos is his only injury concern.  Sadio Mane, Steven Davis and Dusan Tadic look likely to form the attacking midfield trio. Graziano Pelle was dropped from the matchday squad against Man City and may be left out once again, leaving Shane Long to operate as the lone striker once again. Jay Rodriguez will be hoping for minutes having come off the bench last weekend. Cuco Martina may again get the nod ahead of Cedric Soares at right-back.
Tottenham have now won seven and lost just one of their last nine matches against the South Coast club (W7-D1-L1) including a 2-0 win at St Mary's in December in which Kane and Alli scored in the space of three minutes just before half time.

Probable lineups:
Tottenham: Lloris – Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies – Dier, Mason – Lamela, Eriksen, Son – Harry Kane.
Southampton: Forster – Soares, van Dijk, Fonte, Bertrand – Wanyama, Clasie – Mane, Davis, Tadic – Long.

Bayern Munich vs Atletico Madrid
Competition: UEFA Champions League 2015-16 - Semi Finals
Date: Tuesday, May 03 2016
Time: 19:45 BST - 2:45 PM
Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany

The sides are separated by just one goal, after Saul Niguez's brilliant strike at the Vicente Calderon gave Atletico Madrid the 1-0 success. Bayern Munchen put their Bundesliga title celebrations on hold at the weekend as the Bavarians drew with Monchengladbach 1-1. Pep Guardiola fielded a weakened side and that was only the second time this season that a team has avoided defeat in a competitive match at the Allianz Arena. They have won all of their 5 matches at home in this season’s UCL. They have scored a mammoth 19 goals during the process and conceded just 3.
Thomas Muller may start here having been forced to settle for a place on the bench at the Calderon, replacing Arturo Vidal or Thiago Alcantara. Holger Badstuber and Arjen Robben are both ruled out while Franck Ribery is a doubt with a back problem. The likes of Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Douglas Costa and Robert Lewandowski - all benched on Saturday - are all expected to start.
Atletico Madrid team recorded another 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga BBVA last Saturday and kept pace with La Liga's title chasing teams Real Madrid and Barcelona. Atletico have failed to win their last two Champions League away matches, first a 0-0 draw against PSV followed by a 2-1 defeat in the quarter final to Barcelona. Anyway, the Colchoneros have kept a clean sheet in 7 of their last 9 UCL matches.
Jan Oblak, Jose Gimenez, Juanfran Torres and Gabi Fernandez were the only players to keep their places in the starting XI on Saturday as Diego Simeone also rested his star men. The likes of Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres and Koke are all expected to reclaim their starting berth. Tiago is the only confirmed absentee in Atletico squad as both Diego Godin and Yannick Carrasco are expected to return to the squad.

Probable lineups:
Bayern Munich: Neuer – Lahm, J.Martinez, J.Boateng, Alaba – Vidal – D.Costa, T.Muller, Alcantara, Ribery – Lewandowski.
Atletico Madrid: Oblak – Juanfran, Gimenez, Godin, Filipe Luis – Gabi, A.Fernandez – Koke, Saul Niguez, Griezmann – F.Torres.

Manchester United vs Leicester City - Competition: English Premier League

Man United team enter the match with momentum on their side after beating Everton in the English FA Cup Semifinals on Sunday. They are locked in a titanic battle with Arsenal and Man City for the final Champions League places. They have won six straight league matches at Old Trafford and haven't conceded there in 381 minutes since beating Arsenal 3-2 on Feb. 28. The Red Devils have only conceded seven goals at home in the league all season.
Louis van Gaal may name an unchanged side even if the likes of Juan Mata, Schneiderlin and Herrera will all be pushing for recalls having been left out against the Toffees last time out. Jesse Lingard and Martial look set to continue out wide, with Marcus Rashford starting as the lone striker. Luke Shaw, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Will Keane remain sidelined. Phil Jones stepped up his return to the first-team squad with the U21s in midweek and may come into consideration.
Leicester City team head into Sunday’s game on the back of their stunning 4-0 win over Swansea at the King Power Stadium last weekend, a victory that have seen them moving seven points clear of Tottenham at the top of the league table with three games left. Leicester have won 6 of their last 7 league matches and kept a clean sheet in 6 of the last 7 as well.
Claudio Ranieri will again be without Jamie Vardy for the trip to Old Trafford. Ulloa could fill in once again following his brace, although the striker is suffering from a back injury and will be assessed closer to the time. Jeffrey Schlupp started on the left of the 4-4-1-1 formation last weekend, and may keep his place ahead of Marc Albrighton. Newly-crowned PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante are expected to form the rest of the midfield, with Shinji Okazaki operating in the support striker role.
The reverse fixture this season ended in a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium as Schweinsteiger cancelled out Vardy's opener - a goal that saw Vardy score in a record 11th consecutive league game. Manchester United have won their last 6 home matches against Leicester in all competitions.

Manchester City vs Real Madrid
Competition: Champions League 2015-16 (Semi Finals)
Date: Tuesday, 26 April 2016 - Time: 18:45 GMT
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom
Referee: C. Çakιr

Man City team hammered Stoke City 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium with a minimum of fuss at the weekend. They have hit good form just at the right time and are unbeaten in their last seven in all competitions. In UCL, the Citizens beat PSG in the quarter-finals to move into the last four of Europe's premier competition for the first time. They have only won one of their four home games in the knockout stages, against PSG (D1 L2). Their only home defeat this season came against Juventus in the opening day of the tournament.
Yaya Toure picked up a thigh injury against Stoke City and will face a fitness test while captain Vincent Kompany is still making his way back from injury to full fitness. Bacary Sagna has spent most of the season as Manuel Pellegrini's first choice right-back, but he has missed their last two matches because of injury and Pablo Zabaleto is expected to replace the Frenchman. Up front Sergio Aguero will lead the line, while David Silva, Jesus Navas and Kevin De Bruyn will form the offensive midfield trio.
Real Madrid team came from 2 goals down and were 2-3 winners away at Rayo Vallecano in La Liga last weekend and, in addition to moving them to within a point of Barcelona at the top of the league table, that result marked the occasion of Real’s fifth win in a row and their 11th victory in their last 12 matches in all competitions. Their only slip came when the Galacticos were beaten 2-0 away in the first leg of their quarter-final tie against Vfl Wolfsburg. They advance to the semifinals thanks to a second-leg hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Zidane has slight concerns over  Dani Carvajal and Benzema, as well as Ronaldo who missed at the weekend. Brazilian midfieldere Casemiro also missed the win over Rayo through suspension but will start at the Etihad. Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo look sure to start in attack, while Lucas Vazquez and Jese Rodriguez are in contention for the remaining spot should Benzema fail to recover in time.
Man City and Real Madrid's only previous competitive encounter was in the 2012-13 Champions League group stages. The Merengues won 3-2 at the Bernabeu before a 1-1 draw at Etihad Stadium.

Probable lineups:
Manchester City: Hart – Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy – Fernando, Fernandinho – J.Navas, de Bruyne, Silva – Aguero.
Real Madrid: Navas – Danilo, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – T.Kroos, Casemiro, Modri? – Ronaldo, Bale, Isco.

Chelsea vs Manchester City Premier League - April 16, 2016

0 التعليقات

Chelsea vs Manchester City - Competition: English Premier League

Chelsea team lost to Swansea City last weekend and the Blues are already looking forward to next season with nothing left to play for. The Blues have won only five of their home games this season, with no less than 11 clubs leaving Stamford Bridge with at least a point. Hiddink's men can still boast an 8 unbeaten record at home, but they won just 2 out of those as 6 of those were draws.
Guus Hiddink will have Diego Costa following the forward's three match suspension. John Terry had treatment on an Achilles injury and will certainly not be available. He will be replaced by Branislav Ivanovic while Kenedy will cover the righ back position. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has started the last two matches in the number ten role in the 4-2-3-1 formation and may keep his place in the side. Nemanja Matic is available, whereas Eden Hazard is 50/50. They are expected to start on the bench.
Man City booked their place in the UCL semi-finals with a 1-0 second-leg win over Paris-SG on Tuesday night. Pellegrini’s side currently occupy the final qualifying spot in Premier League and their qualification for next season’s competition is far from secure. The Citizens followed up their emphatic 4-0 win over Bournemouth with a 2-1 triumph at home West Brom.
Manuel Pellegrini is without David Silva for the trip to Stamford Bridge. Yaya Toure was benched for their clash against PSG following a knee injury and should be replaced by Jesus Navas once again. Raheem Sterling is also still ruled out through injury. In defense, Vincent Kompany is losing his race to be fit and this means that Otamendi and Mangala will retain their starting berth.
Chelsea thrashed City 5-1 when they met last, but that saw Manuel Pellegrini field a team of youngsters in the English FA Cup. The reverse fixture was a 3-0 City win at the Etihad Stadium on August 16.

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona 13-04-2016 Champions League

0 التعليقات
Atletico Madrid vs FC Barcelona - Champions League (Quarter Finals)

In La Liga, Atletico Madrid team closed the gap on league leaders FC Barcelona to just three points by beating 3-1 Espanyol at the weekend. Following the 1-2 defeat suffered in the first leg, the Colchoneros have now lost all three meetings against Barcelona this season 2-1, with their total of goals matched by the number of red cards they have incurred.
Coach Diego Simeone is once again expected to be without the services of centre-backs Jose Gimenez and Stefan Savic. Lucas Hernandez on standby to continue alongside Diego Godin. Of course, after the red card Fernando Torres is suspended for this game while Tiago is also unavailable after sustaining a broken leg recently. Correa is expected to play up-fron along with Griezmann and Ferreira Carrasco.
Barcelona have lost their last two in Spanish Primera Division to blow the title race wide open. In fact, after the draw against Villarreal, the Blaugrana lost El Clasico against Real Madrid and were unable to win at Real Sociedad, losing 1-0. Their only win in their last four matches was their 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in the first-leg.
Gerard Pique is a doubt bu should be recovered in time from his hip injury while Thomas Vermaelen, Jeremy Mathieu, Aleix Vidal and Rafinha are definetely all sidelined through injury. No major changes are expected in the starting XI with the MSN trio up front and Rakitic, Busquets and Iniesta in midfield.
Atletico are actually the only team to prevent Barcelona from reaching the semi-finals of the UCL in the last eight seasons. Lionel Messi has not scored or provided an assist in four games. Not since April 2010 has the five-time world footballer of the year failed to contribute to a goal in four straight matches.

Probable lineups:
Atletico Madrid (4-3-3): Oblak – Filipe Luis, Hernandez, Godin, Juanfran – Koke, Gabi, Niguez, – Griezmann, Ferreira Carrasco, Correa.
FC Barcelona (4-3-3): Ter Stegen – Alves, Alba, Mascherano, Pique – Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta – Messi, Suarez, Neymar.

Real Madrid vs Wolfsburg Champions League - April 12, 2016

Real Madrid vs Wolfsburg (Quarter Finals) - Competition: UEFA Champions League

Real Madrid’s 4-0 win against Eibar team earned them a sixth La Liga BBVA win in a row and they are now only 4 points behind la Liga leaders Barcelona. The Blancos have won their last four home games, scoring 14 goals in the process. The last two have been 4-0, while they've got 7-0, 6-0 and 8-0 victories under their belt this season.
Zidane manager rotated his squad against Eibar with the likes of Bale, Modric, Kroos, Danilo and Marcelo getting a rest. Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane have both returned to training and are expected to be available for selection. James Rodriguez is pushing for a start after an excellent showing last time out.
VfL Wolfsburg completely outplayed Real Madrid in the first leg and earned a priceless 2-0 win to defend in the 2nd leg. Die Wolfe went on to draw 1-1 with Mainz 05 in the weekend Bundesliga fixture and they are languishing in eighth in the Bundesliga. Another worry for the Wolves is that they have lost to nil away from home on three occasions in the Bundesliga since early February
Sebastian Jung and Daniel Caligiuri are the only major absentee from the German team and nanager Dieter Hecking could name the same XI that secured victory in Germany last Wednesday, with Andre Schurrle spearheading the attack. Striker Bas Doost will start on the bench but should play at some stage.
Real Madrid have won all four home games in this season's competition by an aggregate score of 15-0. Anyway, they have conceded in six of their last 10 matches in all competitions while Wolfsburg have scored in three of four UCL away matches.

Probable lineups:
Real Madrid: Navas – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – T.Kroos, Modric – Bale, J.Rodriguez, C.Ronaldo – Benzema.
Wolfsburg: Benaglio – Trasch, Naldo, Dante, R.Rodriguez – Guilavogui, Luiz Gustavo – Vierinha, Arnold, Draxler – Schurrle.

Champions League: PSG vs Manchester City Quarter Finals - 06-04-2016

Paris Saint-Germain vs Manchester City
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: Wednesday 06 April 2016
Time: 19:45 BST
Venue: Parc des Princes, Paris

PSG routed Nice 4-1 on Saturday and won the French league in record time with a 0-9 win at Troyes back on 13 March. They can consequently focus solely on the UEFA Champions League. They eliminated defending EPL Chelsea in the knockout round of 16 by winning both legs by the same 2-1 score-line.
Paris Sain Germain should have the majority of their big-hitters available for the match, but Marco Verratti remains sidelined with a groin injury. Adrien Rabiot should replace the Italian in central midfield. Javier Pastore is also expected to miss out on the visit of Manchester City because of injury, while Serge Aurier is still being integrated back into the first-team. Lucas Moura and Edinson Cavani are in contention for a starting berth in the attacking trio.
Man City trail Premier League leaders Leicester City by 15 points in the table and face a real fight to defend their 4th place, the final Champions League qualification spot. This will be the Citizens' first-ever quarter-final in Europe’s elite club competition by winning the away leg 3-1 and drawing the home fixture 0-0 against Dynamo Kyiv in the previous round. City's domestic form is highly unpredictable and could be considered particularly poor away from home. However they have done well in UEFA Champions League after winning 3 out of their 4 matches this season.
Kevin de Bruyne made a stunning return to first-team action at the weekend after more than two months out injured and should start as offensive midfield along with David Silva and Jesus Navas. Samir Nasri has also played some minutes in the same match but he is expected to sit on the bench. Joe Hart, Raheem Sterling and Vincent Kompany are all sidelined while Yaya Toure is rated as doubtful.
The last three UCL knockout encounters between Ligue 1 and Premier League clubs have all seen the French team eliminate their English counterpart. PSG have won their last 4 UCL matches scoring at least 2 goals in each game.

Probable lineups:
PSG: Trapp – Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Maxwell – Rabiot, Motta, Matuidi – di Maria, Ibrahimovic, Lucas.
Manchester City: Caballero – Zabaleta, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy – Fernando, Fernandinho – Navas, Silva, De Bruyne – Aguero.
