West Bromwich Albion vs Arsenal Premier League 29 November 2014

West Bromwich Albion vs Arsenal
Competition: Premier League
Match date: Saturday, 29 November 2014
Kick Off Time: 12:45 BST
Venue: The Hawthorns, West Bromwich, United Kingdom

West Bromwich team enter the weekend pleased with their performance thus far, sitting comfortably in 13th place at 3 points above the dreaded relegation zone. After barely staving off the bottom 3 places last season, the Baggies will be eager to lend their fans a pacemaker here, adding to their point tally against a tough opponent and calming the nerves of thousands of club loyalists. But the balances of power shift regularly in the English Premier League, and the Baggies will know that avoiding defeat at The Hawthorns this season will be essential to staving off the drop. They are unbeaten in 4 of their last 5 competitive matches at home, and manager Alan Irvine will be looking forward to taking points off the struggling Gunners. Unfortunately for the hosts, they will be without Yacob and have not defeated Arsenal in their last 8 meetings. While the Baggies can be a stern opponent and will likely keep this match close, they will be hard-pressed to sneak a point out of the Hawthorns this Saturday.
Arsenal responded well to a mass of criticism and questions over the team’s mental fragility, as the Gunners came out of their 1:2 defeat to Manchester United over the midweek with a sense of purpose and determination. Against a Borussia Dortmund side that have taken no prisoners in the Champions League this season, the Gunners took the initiative from the off, as surprise starter Yaya Sanogo slotted home the beautiful give-and-go with Santi Cazorla in just the 2nd minute. But the visitors live and die by the “beautiful goal,” and perhaps what has been most needed is a bit of directness in their play. Alexis Sanchez provided that when his side took a 2:0 lead over the Germans, as the Chilean curled a lovely 25-yarder into the far netting, sealing the matchday’s proceedings. Unfortunately for the Gunners, victory seems to come at a cost this season, as Mikel Arteta and Yaya Sanogo both limped off in the second half. Neither will feature this weekend, but Danny Welbeck should return to action and lead the line once again. A big 3 points for the Gunners is the likely outcome this Saturday.

Probable lineups:
West Bromwich: Foster – Wisdom, Dawson, Lescott, Pocognoli – Dorrans, Gardner, Morrison, Brunt – Sessegnon – Berahino.
Arsenal: Martinez – Chambers, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs – Arteta, Ramsey – Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanchez, Cazorla – Welbeck.

APOEL Nicosia vs Barcelona
Competition: Champions League
Match date: 25 November 2014
Venue: Neo GSP (Nicosía (Levkosía)

APOEL Nicosia 0-4 Barcelona (Group F):
27' 0-1 Luis Suarez // 38' 0-2 Lionel Messi // 58' 0-3 Lionel Messi // 87' 0-4 Lionel Messi

Play maker Lionel Messi already proof him as a goal machine where in this match he proof him as a finishing maker as well. If you watched 4 goals of Leo Messi in world cup where 3 was out from D box which mention that most of the goals of Lionel Messi is extra ordinary where in this match against APOEL, Messi played as Central forward and all goals by tricky finishing. This hat-trick by Messi kept him on rank #2 among top goal scorer of this season on UCL. Definitely, it’s a good sign for Barcelona to do well in this Champions League 2014/2015. Another goal of this match scored by Luiz Suarez on 27′.

Bayern Munich vs Manchester City ChampionsLeague 25-11-2014

Bayern Munich vs Manchester City
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom
Match date: Tuesday, 25 November 2014 - 19:45 GMT

Man City team have disappointed once again in the UCL, as it appears they are headed for an early exit from the competition involving Europe’s elite clubs. Through 4 group stage matches, they have accumulated a paltry 2 points to sit in last place of Group E, and a visit from the table-toppers and soaring Bavarians isn’t exactly what the doctor ordered. They did look strong against the Germans in their first fixture in Munich, perhaps unluckily losing 1:0 to a very late Jerome Boateng goal. After drawing with Roma and CSKA, the hosts fell in catastrophic fashion to the Moscow-based club 1:2, seeing their Champions League hopes now hanging by a thread headed into Tuesday’s clash. However, the Citizens did look better last time out in a 2:1 dispatching of feisty Swansea, and perhaps even more importantly than the 3 points was the return to form of midfield star Yaya Toure, who netted the go-ahead goal and had an overall strong match. The Ivorian has struggled with his form since the death of his brother Ibrahim back in June, playing with a heavy heart through the World Cup and the early season. But if last match was any indication of things to come, the powerful midfielder is well on his way to a return to his best form, and that is only good news for the struggling hosts. However, they will unfortunately be forced to play without their talismanic star here, as he is forced out after picking up a red-card suspension in their defeat to CSKA Moscow, and the must-win they need is unlikely to come as a result.
Bayern Munich can seemingly do no wrong at the moment. Despite facing an extensive injury list throughout the early going of the season, which was just compounded by the multiple-month loss of Phillip Lahm, the Bavarians have won their last 5 competitive matches and 11 of their last 12 in all competitions. They have lost just once this season in a German Super Cup clash with Dortmund, but the cup admittedly lacks any real noteworthy accomplishment, and the visitors deployed a team comprising of many of their second-choice and third-choice backups. Now, they will head to Manchester to take on the struggling English champions, who they defeated 1:0 back in Germany in their first match-up. Jerome Boateng was the unexpected hero on that day, guiding his team to victory with a 90th-minute match winner. Things should be tight again here as the hosts look to salvage some pride after a disappointing showing so far, and considering the numerous injuries the visitors have to deal with and that they have already won the group, things could be split evenly by the time all is said and done in Manchester. It may be important to note that Muller shook off an injury scare over the most recent international break and will be available for selection here.

Probable lineups:
Manchester City: Hart – Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy – Fernando, Lampard, Milner, Nasri – Jovetic, Aguero.
Bayern Munich: Neuer – Rafinha, Benatia, Dante, J. Bernat – Schweinsteiger, Rode – Shaqiri, M. Gotze, Ribery – Lewandowski.

Chelsea vs West Bromwich Albion Premier League 22-11-2014

Chelsea vs West Bromwich Albion
Competition: English Premier League
Match date: 22 November 2014
Kick Off Time: 15:00 BST
Venue: Stamford Bridge, London

In all competitions, Chelsea FC have not been beaten since early August. Even after drawing with Manchester United several weeks ago, Chelsea have earned the right to be four points clear of Southampton and eight points clear of Man City in the Premiere League thus far. Following their win over Liverpool last Saturday, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho criticized fans for their lack of vocal support. It is highly likely that Chelsea supporters will meet this accusation with a rousing welcome home for Saturday’s match versus West Brom. Against West Brom, Chelsea have struggled in recent years. Their last five meeting, the blues have lost twice, drawn twice and won only once (three matches ago).
West Bromwich is coming off a 0-2 loss to Newcastle on November 9th. Their form has been lackluster of late, finding only one win since beating Burnley on September 28th. They are also scoreless in their last two matches. Against Chelsea FC, they have had some good success in recent years. West Brom and Chelsea have both managed to take five points from their last two seasons (four matches) playing against each other in the Premiere League. Though the stats show Chelsea as an overwhelming favorite, West Brom will certainly put up a fight in hopes of remaining in the top half of the table. Even a draw against the frontrunners would be a massive help for the Baggies, so they will likely show a very defensive starting line up and formation.

Chelsea last 5 matches:
26/10/14 Manchester United 1 – 1 Chelsea
28/10/14 Shrewsbury Town 1 – 2 Chelsea
01/11/14 Chelsea 2 – 1 QPR
05/11/14 Maribor 1 – 1 Chelsea
08/11/14 Liverpool 1 – 2 Chelsea

West Brom last 5 matches:
20/10/14 West Brom 2 – 2 Manchester United
25/10/14 West Brom 2 – 2 Crystal Palace
28/10/14 Bournemouth 2 – 1 West Brom
01/11/14 Leicester City 0 – 1 West Brom

PSG vs Olympique Marseille French Ligue 1 November 9, 2014

0 التعليقات

PSG vs Olympique Marseille - Competition: French Ligue 1
Match date: 9 November 2014 - Kick Off Time: 20:00 BST
Venue: Parc Des Princes, Paris, France

Paris Saint-Germain team is welcoming this duel after their latest series of five consecutive wins, three in the Championship and two in the UCL over APOEL, after which they together with FC Barcelona already ensured a place in the knockout phase. It just means that they can now totally devoted their attention to the fight for the first place in France Ligue 1, where their next rivals OM are currently at, so we are absolutely sure that they are going to give their best in order to come closer one point.
Here we need to mention the fact that the current French champions still have not felt the bitterness of defeat this season, though they are constantly playing on two very strong fronts, but it is certainly largely to thanks to their wide bench, so coach Blanc has an adequate alternative for each position at any moment. Therefore, the absence of Ibrahimovic for more than a month was not felt so much in a game, while we should also add that the injured midfielder Verratti is still questionable for this match.
As for the guests from Olympique Marseille, we have already said that they are after 12 rounds on the leading position in Ligue 1, with four points more than PSG and five compared to the third Lyon, which defeated them two weeks ago in the championship, after their stunning series of eight consecutive victories. This has certainly disrupted them, which was best confirmed by the next match in the French League Cup where they were defeated away at Rennes while they last weekend with a lot of trouble came to the minimum home triumph over Lens in the Championship.
But the most important thing for a coach Bielsa is that they managed to come back after two straight defeats, but also to the four points of excess entering this big derby with Paris Saint-Germain, so they will certainly be somewhat relieved at Princes Park. On the other hand, they are certainly not very happy by the fact that their top scorer of France Ligue 1, Gignac, has not scored a goal in three consecutive matches, so he will definitely need extra help this time in the offensive part. We should also add that their injured central defender Morel will have to miss this match, as well as the suspended midfielder Romao due to his red card.

Probable lineups
FC Paris Saint-Germain: Sirigu – van der Wiel, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Maxwell – Motta, Matuidi – Lucas, Pastore, Lavezzi – Cavani.
Olympique Marseille: Mandanda – Dja Djedje, Fanni, N’Koulou, Mendy – Lemina, Imbula – Thauvin, Payet, Ayew – Gignac.

Liverpool vs Chelsea Premier League Saturday, 8 November 2014

Liverpool vs Chelsea FC
Competition: England Premier League, 2014/2015 - Matchday 11

Liverpool team have taken a serious hit to their title chances in recent weeks, picking up just a point against underdogs Hull City (0:0) and Newcastle United (1:0) in their last 2 English Premier League matches. Shockingly poor scoring form for the hosts has ultimately been the main reason for their fall to 7th place, as just 2 goals from their last 5 competitive contests has Brendan Rodgers irate with his team’s performances. That showed over the midweek in Champions League action when the Northern Irishman marched out an odd and what some would call disrespectful lineup against Real Madrid. But the bench players responded well and the team put in an admirable performance, but yet again their offensive ineptitude since the departure of Luis Suarez and the injury to Daniel Sturridge was a glaring problem, as the Reds conjured up just 4 total shots (1 on target) compared to 27 for the Spaniards. But Rodgers will know that Saturday presents a golden opportunity to storm back into the title race with all 3 points against the league leaders, and while it appears to be a tall task for the offensively-challenged Reds headed in, they’ll take comfort in the fact that they’ve won 19 of their last 25 EPL matches at Anfield.
Chelsea extended their improbable bid to become just the second team in English Premier League history to go unbeaten in a season, but as the players begin to dream of immortality in the record books, a trip to Anfield serves as a dangerous roadblock to their unconquered run. There is unquestioned world class talent in this squad, with the likes of Diego Costa flashing brilliance in his first Premier League season and Belgian speed demon Eden Hazard looking dangerous per usual for the Blues, but they’ve shown a propensity for shutting off at times, best highlighted by the fact they’ve now conceded in 7 of their 10 English Premier League matches this season. That trend continued into the Champions League over the midweek, as the Blues picked up a disappointing 1:1 draw with Maribor in group action. They were perhaps caught looking ahead to their important clash this weekend at Anfield, and considering how dominant they have played in England this season, it just isn’t wise to bet against the Londoners at the moment. They should at the least be sharing the points in another vital road clash for the current table-toppers.

Man City vs CSKA Moscow 1-2 Highlights 05-11-2014 Champions League

Manchester City vs CSKA Moskva
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Match date: 5 November 2014
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester

Goals:
Manchester City – Yaya Toure 8'
CSKA – Seydou Doumbia 2' // Seydou Doumbia 34'

Playing at home, Manchester City were eager to pick up their first win in the competition, but things didn't look bright when CSKA Moscow went one goal up after just two minutes of play.
That lead didn't last long though as Man City managed to draw level six minutes later with a lovely free kick from Yaya Toure.
The visitor were not short of confidence and beliefs as they continue to cause problems for Manuel Pellegrini's men and on 34 minutes Doumbia regained his team's lead with a fine finish.
Manchester City tried to push harder after the break, but none of their efforts were fruitful as things got even worse when they have to end that tie with only nine men after Fernandino and Yaya Toure were sent off.

Bayern Munchen vs AS Roma Champions League 05-11-2014

Bayern Munchen vs AS Roma
Competition: UEFA Champions League, Group E
Match date: 5 November 2014
Kick Off Time: 19:45 BST
Venue: Allianz-Arena, Munchen

Bayern Munich team have hardly held the handbrake against their opponents this season, as the defending Bundesliga champions have now gone unconquered in their last 15 competitive matches, claiming victory on 12 of those occasions. Furthermore, 8 of those 12 wins were by multiple-goal margins, and there is little dispute over who is going to sit atop German domestic football at the end of the season. However, manager Pep Guardiola and his troops will be intent upon returning to European glory as well, where they were crowned champions just 2 seasons ago. A fast start has them atop perhaps the most difficult group in the CL this year headed into matchweek 4, as the hosts have won all 3 of their opening matches against Man City (1:0 at home), CSKA (1:0 on the road), and this midweek’s opponent, Roma (7:1 on the road). That final match witnessed the electric ability of Arjen Robben (2 goals and an assist) and Robert Lewandowski (1 goal and 1 assist), and despite the Bavarians dealing with an extensive injury list at the moment, the quality in this side is too difficult to ignore for the potential outcome of Wednesday’s Group E clash.
AS Roma team won their first 6 competitive games this season while going unconquered in their first 7. Excitement surrounded the camp, as they appeared poised to put up a significant challenge in both the Champions League and the Italian Serie A. But a 3:2 loss to Juventus in league action sent those over-the-moon expectations crashing back down to a harsh reality, as the visitors have now lost 3 of their last 6 competitive matches, falling off the title pace by 3 points. However, they do still sit in 2nd place with 4 points through their first 3 UCL group games, and a difficult road point here would go a long way towards ensuring their presence in the next round. However, they come up against a Bayern Munich side that just destroyed the visitors in Rome 7:1, and the upset here appears to be a bit of a long shot despite the obvious quality AS Roma possess. Furthermore, the Giallorossi lost their league contest over the weekend to Napoli, and confidence may have taken a critical hit as they travel to Bavaria, and with an overall road record of 2 wins and 9 losses against German opposition, the Italian visitors should be seeing defeat once again.

Bayern Munchen last 5 matches:
18/10/14 Bayern München 6 – 0 Werder Bremen
21/10/14 Roma 1 – 7 Bayern München
26/10/14 Borussia M’gla… 0 – 0 Bayern München
29/10/14 Hamburger 1 – 3 Bayern München

Real Madrid vs Liverpool Champions League - November 4, 2014

0 التعليقات
After a rather weak start of the season, Real Madrid are back on track again. Because after three losses in their first 6 games, they are now unbeaten for almost 2 months. In the Champions League, they had a great start from the beginning. 3 games are thru and they won all of them, with an impressive scoring balance of 10:2. Especially Benzema (3 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2 goals) were able to impress. It seems like it doesn’t matter wheter they play at home or on the road. But performing at the Santiago Bernabeu, they have perfect stats. They won all of their last 8 games there. The only bad news come from Bale, who is still injured and not ready to join his team against Liverpool.
Last season, Liverpool FC was unlucky at the end and missed to win the Premier League title closely but this time, they are struggling in the League as well as in the CL. After 3 match days, they have lost 2 times and won only their season premier against Ludogorets. This win was followed by a defeat from Basel (0:1) and the 0:3 loss against Real Madrid. Remarkable is the fact, that Liverpool has problems with scoring goals. After 10 match days of the Premier League, they have only scored 13 times. At the same moment last season, they had already scored 17 times. Without Suarez and an injured Sturridge, they don’t have a striker to rely on. Another fact which speaks against Liverpool is that they have only won 2 out of their last 5 international games on the road. 3 of these games have been lost.

Probable lineups:
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo; Modric, Kroos; James Rodriguez, Isco, Ronaldo; Benzema
Liverpool (4-3-2-1): Mignolet; Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno; Gerrard, Henderson, Allen; Lallana, Sterling; Balotelli

Barcelona vs Celta de Vigo
Competition: Spanish Primera Division
Match date: 1 November 2014
Venue: Camp Nou, Barcelona

FC Barcelona's reign at the top of Spanish La Liga standings ended this weekend as they suffered a shock home defeat from Celta Vigo.
Keen on redeeming themselves from last weekend's league defeat from Real Madrid, Barcelona immediately put on an attacking effort. It was not an easy task though for Barça to break down their opponent's defense, especially during the first 45 minutes as that period ended in goalless draw.
In the second half, Barca continue to prize forward in search for goals, but instead of scoring they found themselves trailing when Celta scored through Joaquin Larrivey on 55 minutes.
No more goals were scored afterwards as Celta holding on to their lead until the final whistle was blown.
